The cannon as to how this interaction would go. Robotnik may not LIKE sonic, but he definitely considers him fun to fight against, if his greatest rival was dead he’d have no one to fight. So he’d definitely be more willing to kill starved then starved is to kill robotnik. Hell metal could SOLO both starved and furnace, yet sonic joining robotnik just to kick in starved’s already low chances is the icing on the cake. Like comic eggman once said. “I could of easily bombed sonic whilst he was sleeping.” Bro does NOT care.

Looks like messing with the Time Stones created a paradox in the fabric of time and space. Crossing two different timelines into one. After defeating and consuming the blue hedgehog from his own timeline, the ever hungry Dr. Robotnik never would have guessed that the biggest threat now, was himself.

Me personally i think Eggmans got this cause starveds badniks run on coal which is why Furnace despite being fast,sucks at fuel conservation cause the faater it goes the more fuel is burned.
Meanwhile Metal is run on chaos energy meaning that he can last longer,fight harder and striaght up tank everything furnace can do
