My favorite part about Starved in the lore Is that he doesn't eat humans, and is in fact polite to them, so imagine you just have a friendly conversation with Starved, and next thing you know he just goes Oonga Boonga when a Mobian appears

Starved is nice to humans, sure, but he's killing creatures that have sentience and eating them alive like Sonic in the background, I'm sure that killing mobians almost everyday because of the time stones does some sort of damage to his mind, meaning he could be a psychopath he might not eat humans, sure, but he might kill them for the joy, though thats largely unconfirmed since there are no humans in Sonic 2.
It's so eerie how the moment he stops singing, he goes _still as a fucking statue._ No idle animation at all. He just _stands_ there, _staring_ at you with his insatiable hunger.
Tho I wanna see starve eggman vs underworld Luigi since they're kinda similar the difference is that starve eggman isnt really cannibal he only eats living animals and mobians

One thing that I find interesting is when everything fades to red, the room is gone except Tails, Eggman, and Sonic. The fact that Sonic is still there means that he isn't just a background element to Tails -- that's still his friend. His dismembered, eaten friend. He's splitting his attention between Sonic and Eggman. This could be fatal. He isn't focused.
i think starved eggman knows that tails cant properly focus its the advantage eggman has over all of them now he isnt driven by ego hes just lustful for a new meal and wont let anything get in the way
Even if he didn't know Sonic, it'd be hard to focus on the task at hand when there's a half eaten corpse with its guts spilling out onto the floor in the same room. Especially since he knows that the man he's fighting right now is responsible for it.
It helps that Starved's down pose, as well as being a reference to one of the older pieces of official Eggman art, looks a lot like he's mockingly gesturing to the corpse.
The scariest part of Starved is the fact that he genuinely isn't dumb at all. He's still the same 300+IQ doctor who has a crazy Mobian craving, which makes him even more terrifying.
If he has a 300 IQ wouldn't he realise if he kept just eating mobians it would get to a point where his body can't take it anymore and he would just die?

I love the idea that Starved uses Sonics ego against him to capture him, and how he can easily see through Tails knife and stance to see his fear. This Eggman isn’t fueled by ego or anything to prove, he simply wants to feast.
The thing about Starved that gives me genuine fear is the fact there's not some demon possessing the video game of Sonic, not the soul of a victim possesing the game, or the corruption of other supernatural forces. This is the real deal, in universe. Eggman is far gone from who he was initially, just a mad narcissistic doctor trying to destroy Sonic. Now he's a killer, straight up murdering and consuming the victims (who mind you, some of them are sentient beings on the same level as humans) like he's a hunter. But not hunting for sport or what have you, but because eating the flesh of Mobians gives him so much euphoria to the point where he's willing to let his body take the effects/consequences of the diet, like Mobian meat is a drug to him. And in a way, he won, there isn't much of a triumph for the heroes. He eats Amy, Sonic, Ray, and many others. Sure Tails is alive, but he's permanently scarred with the loss of a tail, he can no longer fly, at least not as effectively/requiring much more effort.

Starved's poses here remind me why hes possibly my favorite exe. Its especially apparent in his up pose, he just feels demented yet gleeful that he finally has a new meal. It's so unnerving and spectacular. Edit:realized after Starved isn't an exe, my mistake

I love his left pose. It's like he's taunting tails by doing Sonic's iconic pose right in front of the corpse of his best friend. And his huge smile just adds to the fact that he knows he's doing it. What a dick move
The moments where this actually sounds like an Eggman boss battle makes this all the more unsettling, it really nails the feeling that you’re fighting a more deranged version of the prideful Doctor.
2:28 I love this little detail in the instrumental, it signifies that this is not A different being, it’s still ivo robitnik, but he’s become even more corrupted and insane, his once silly and cartoonish behaviour now masked by his new form, and the drums of the song, but it’s still their… just to remind you of the man he was.
When everything turned red, it feels like Tails have the feeling to be capable to end Eggman's life. Its like he filled with anger, but then 2:28 plays, everything stops being red, its like tails Remember its the ol' Doctor Robotnik/Eggman, and he maybe do not want to kill him, but then everything turn to red again, like Tails remember why he's here at this very moment, he wants to kill this monster, ( from his point of view and the mobians ) then at the end of the song everything turn bacl to normal, but this time it feels like Tails instead completly gived up, and he do not want to fight anymore, this time he's filled with Fear, and he choose to Flight, to run as fast as possible. This is a great example of a song slowly building up fear. Not only does it start of slow and gradually increases in the tempo, but also the fact that the health drain gradually gets more harsh instills even more fear in losing. And then the slow mellowing out at the end is a really nice touch. As shit as I think the EXE devs are as people, I can appreciate the work they have made

Definitely the best song of the whole mod IMO There’s a feeling of hope being depleted as the song goes on and speeds up, the fade to darkness only showing the characters in red, the choice of poses and perspective, and the lore of Starved really make this my personal fav. Even if the Sonic.exe mod has been cancelled prematurely, watching the mods come out of such high quality has been a blast.
Oh I know of the stuff that happened behind the scenes- when I said prematurely I just meant that there was a lot more the mod team wanted to do initially but they released the cancelled build we have now. I’m super grateful for the stuff they’ve provided the community. They didn’t need to do ANYTHING and they gave us some of the best stuff in the FNF modding scene.

The fact that that in the end you got to clutch it, is what actually impresses me the most. It's really a good idea since it actually implements the idea of how a little mistake can end your life if you don't focus on a moment of fight or flight.
@@creeperboom9813 You don't die once your fear reaches max. If your fear meter is maxed out, the fear will drain the hp bar to the point of where you can't miss or you'll die. But you don't die once you reach max fear.
Honestly, one of my favorite things about this song outside of, well, the song itself is the game over. It's one of, if not THE creepiest game overs I've seen in an FNF mod. The song itself is fantastic too, with how intense and unnerving the whole thing is. It really makes the situation at hand a lot more intense, and it's just so good. Easily my favorite song in the update (and probably in Vs Sonic.EXE as a whole).

Honestly, if Tails wins and manages to defeat this mortal man, he could use the Time Stones he had to reverse all that has happened if you think about it. Meaning, there's hope, even if slim.
Also, for some reason people don’t know this, in Prey, it’s canonical that Eggman used the time stones to relive Prey, with the line “You don’t even know your fate, hedgehog.” suggesting he has done Prey (and possibly Fight or Flight) multiple times.

I always saw Starved's lore as the Sonic series' original premise taking a dark turn. Think of how the original games had underlying themes of technology vs nature, manmade progress vs life on Earth. Think of how Starved could represent manmade progress at an even more destructive degree where life is consumed for the sake of that progress even as the Earth is being destroyed as it happens. You aren't battling some otherworldly evil or a mischievous demon. You're battling against the embodiment of man's consumption, literally and metaphorically, of nature when it's at its worse. Tl;dr You're fighting against corporate greed. [Edit: Grammar correction.]
This was my take too, and that it reflects real things like climate change and our complete abuse of every resource the world can offer. This is just animal POV with some heightened sentience. Scary because it's real, and we're the villains.
If your fighting against coroprate greed, thats probably the most scary thing of all dude. That is so massively powerful that it could probably take over the entire world if it had the chance.
I love the vibe this song gives, as it speeds up it feels like hope slowly fading away as uh... whatever Eggman has become sings faster and faster, because he knows he is winning, he knows you're too scared to try anything with the knife on your hand, he knows you're weak and that you'll end up being just another meal and that it's *too late for you to even think of fighting, or fleeing.* Even if Tails survives in the end it definitely doesn't seem like it in this song.
What makes this worse is that eggman is still...well..eggman, he can techinally still lose but its a matter if tails is even able to pull that off...starved may be a monster but he's a monster in a human body breaking down from his diet...and tails has shown to be able to hold against him before Canonically tails should survive this encounter sense he has evolved into starves primary enemy and objective....the fact tails is still alive in this au makes one wonder if he could really win

one thing people don’t seem to notice about this timeline is that tails doesn’t actually get to meet sonic before he dies. since sonic cd comes before sonic 2 (confirmed by an easter egg in sonic cd and sonic origins), this means that tails is standing up to starved with no inspiration from his best buddy, and has no knowledge as to who sonic is, making this even more depressing
so i just played this song for the first time holy fuck seeing that there was a "sacrifices" stat instead of a "misses" stat, seeing the lifeless body of a certain hedgehog... i was actually very afraid to miss a note. good god. thankfully i never did, and i fc'd the song on my first try, but still. MAN this song is something special. best song imo. no other song made me feel so many emotions.
It gradually fills up during the song, hitting the notes make it go down a little. You don't die when your HP reaches 0, only when the fear meter completely fills up, but when you miss a note after the HP reaches 0 it drastically fills up

I'm sure the only reason I love this song out of the rest is because it's unsettling and the fear mechanic just adds to it making it creepier that any missed note will make it rise hence giving tails a bad ending. Not to mention how the song slowly grows a more menacing fullness as it gets quicker, sounding even more urgent

This kinda resembles the Drowning music, with both becoming faster and faster. One representing the urgency of air underwater, and the other representing the fight or flight behavior. Both anxiety inducing.
Ngl, it's the first time in years that an exe feels like an exe, especially the game over screen, it reminded me of what I feared when I was younger. He's not just there, he's coming for you.
Agree, most exes really feel like people creating "my edgy sonic oc" disregarding the horror aspect (horror themed, but none of them manage to succeed). Both Starved and Sink have been my favorite exes as of now because they have this strong sense of helplesness and are creepy in their own way
I love this song so much man. The speeding up of the song and the bass gives it a intense fight or flight feeling and the fear meter too. Man if only this mod was not discontinued the possibilities man!
The fact that tails starts giving up due to fear in the middle of the song is just so sad to see. You can see him giving up as eggman starts draining his health down, until tails cant fight back. He also lost his tail, you can see theres only one. Tails is also holding a knife, meaning he failed? to stop eggman. Making it even more sad, theres so much detail to this song, its just amazing. And with sonic dead in the background just makes it so much more unsettling. Best song in the game for a fact. Starved is probably the scariest character in the mod. It’s pretty terrifying that he is not possessed by a demon and despite the consequences of losing his face, he still wants to eat all the mobiens. He went far enough to build robots to help him consume mobiens. And the fact that you see sonic lifeless with his guts falling out of him worsens it even more! They made a really weird idea work so well as a scary character!

When I first even saw him I thought he was a minus skin lol (if you never played the minus mod it turns fnf icons into characters and gives them way more personality than before.)
@@joechristo2 I think it’s the atmosphere and how realistic it is. I’m not saying that losing your face over appetite is realistic but take it like this. In the real world, serial killers exist. And they are absolutely terrifying because they actually take place in real events of enjoying killing people. A monster that has control over the world is not as relatable as a serial killer. And starved is a serial killer so a fictional character doing something that can really happen is more scary than something that cant.
I do like the small detail that ypu dont see the arrows for Starved's vocals. He's unpredictable, Tails doesnt know what he's going to do. He can only act and plan based on what happens in the moment
The whole fact of this eggman mostly not being exe character make him so creepy He's not posessed by any entity,but by his HUNGER He tried meat once,and got in taste so much that he started eating small animals and even Mobians,made his robots cook them,and even made a Metal sonic variant - Furnace,to cook bigger animals He ate Amy,took one of Mile's tails and now hunts him And,he keeps sonic as his "Special" meal Isn't that creepy? With no demons or entities possessing him,he can outmatch most of .exe characters by the degree of horror and fear he gives off
I think there's hope for Tails. If he can master his fear, he essentially has Starved dead to rights. Sure, he reeks like death, his coloration is a constant reminder of the things he's done, and Sonic is dead. But Starved is still just a man. Fear is all he has, at least here. Absolutely love the song though. I think it encapsulates that feeling of rising fear extremely well.
Instead of wearing goggles I think tails should be wearing a blind fold. I’d imagine that if tails saw the horrors around him that he would succumb to fear which can get him accidentally killed so he has to rely solely on sense of hearing to even get close enough to attack Straved without going insane. That would explain why in that one section everything has sorta red outline because tails is imagining that what’s around him. Does that makes sense? Hopefully it makes sense.
A little thing that always left me with an odd feeling is the fact that it is said starved never eats animals raw, he always cooks them first. But here, guessing by the sake of horror, you can see sonic being half eaten and a lot of just guts and gore all around the room. I guess he maybe made this grotesque scenario on purpose in order to scare tails...?

I find it unusual nobody’s mentioning the leitmotif repeating at the end, as if Starved Robotnik takes a second to slow down, savour the moment, reflect on what I can only assume was a heated argument finally ending - because he knows Tails isn’t backing down by this point. And things are going to get *VERY* messy, regardless of his victory.
eggmans personality as a whole prevents him from actually winning with the ideal that villans dont normally win, but i think that eggman actually could take over like he does here killing just about everyone and even then he still is the smart man that he once was, just deranged and hungry, despite the whole eating bit, i really do think eggman could have done something like this if he was motivated enough, which in cases this is one of them i suppose

The ‘Fear’ Mechanic is really cool, as the bar fills up, Starved becomes more and more harder to beat, to the point where you’ll have to get a FC to actually beat him, it’s similar to Black Sun, but longer.. and harder.. Where missing costs you in the long run. And if you let the bar fill up, it makes sense why you can’t lower it by singing, Tails’ is too scared, and he’s just hoping he’ll beat the Starved Doctor, when Tails’ confronted him, he had confidence. But it diminishes completely if you let the bar fill up too much.
I genuinely love the fail screen, entirely because it triggers MY fight or flight. First time I saw it, I was ready to throw hands with him if need be, and it's rare that a game does that to me.
Eggman's vocals sound very inhuman and... unvocalistic, I guess... Which fits him, but kinda throws me away, because it seems slightly undecipherable, his sounds are just melting into one. But Tails' vocals, my god, his chromatics are just flipping best, it sounds like he actually sings, not just, like, a voice from some kind of musical program like FL Studio, it actually sounds like real singing, and his vocal shifting like on 2:15 are even giving me shivers. Magnificent!

I think this happens just a little after Furnace kills Sonic (maybe by crashing with Sonic and throwing Sonic to a wall). Tails arrives just when Eggman is preparing Sonic for a meal
Starved canonically saves Sonic for special occasions, in this song his left leg is eaten, Starved only picks at him to preserve for special occasions. Also, in Prey he canonically already knows he won, he used the time stones to relive Prey, this is hinted at with the line in Prey: “You don’t even know your fate, hedgehog”
I find it interesting how they represent the fight or flight reaction, like in this part where the screen reddens and darkens 2:04 referencing Tunnel Vision (loss of peripheral vision) focusing on the target and Sonic. Another interesting part is the red and black colors that current increase fear and anxiety.
considering both of them are pretty intelligent (i think they have the same i.q.) it makes me think that this song is just a battle of the wits between Tails and Starved (with Tails of course having doubts throughout the song). They both had a carefully calculated plan that they're now slowly revealing to each other, and how they outsmarted the other in some aspects of their plans.
I now have the mental image of tails and starved having a battle solely composed of them unveiling different machines, traps, and plans in a doofenshmirtz-esque final death duel of the minds.

The existence of Starved really makes you think: What was Eggman eating before? What has EVERYONE been eating? We know that Sonic eats chili dogs, but where has the meat been coming from if not the very same animals he’s been saving?
It's mostly the more traditional animals, I'd imagine. Robotnik himself was always vegetarian, but Sonic probably ate some sort of pork and beef like lesser animal incapable of cognitive thought. It's kind of a Goofy and Pluto issue, really.

There's a detail about this song that i believe it's the best (maybe unintentional) and i haven't seen it mentioned yet, is that as the fear goes up the song speeds up and when the fear bar is full the song slows down again at the end. Which is the same that happens to animals hearts when they are being hunted and catched by a predator, their heart rate increases and when they can't fight or flight they just succumb and accept their faith in a (normally) more calm way, and that is the vibe the song gives me, and it has become one of my top 5 solely based on that.
The scariest thing to me is Eggmans movements. Like who moves like that. He’s so happy with the new lifestyle he has he’s practically taunting Tails basically saying, “Oh look at the little Fox trying to kill me!! You were just a shadow of Sonic and he couldn’t even beat me! You have no chance!!” That’s what scares me most here. It's kind of cool as the song goes on you can tell that starved is getting more hungry as the song progresses and as the tempo of the music starts to pick up with like each phase it's pretty cool
Another note I've noticed too as well is at the very end of the song he slows down the tempo on purpose because he feels like he's going to win due to the fact that it looks like tails can't rebound from this
This song is one of the best in the mod because, It makes you feel like your tails perspective, this song makes you feel like you can be chased at any moment and triggers your flight or fight response.
I wonder why Eggman has gone insane from just going on essentially a carnivore diet. Could it be that mobian flesh has some disease that Eggman’s human immune system isn’t able to deal with? Maybe it could just be the fact he’s aware that what he’s doing is morally despite his primal instincts requiring more of the nutrients. This may all be the result of Eggman’s intelligent and animal side clashing, with the animal obviously winning and his human side almost checking out.

Is that he doesn't eat humans, and is in fact polite to them, so imagine you just have a friendly conversation with Starved, and next thing you know he just goes Oonga Boonga when a Mobian appears

One thing that I find interesting is when everything fades to red, the room is gone except Tails, Eggman, and Sonic. The fact that Sonic is still there means that he isn't just a background element to Tails -- that's still his friend. His dismembered, eaten friend. He's splitting his attention between Sonic and Eggman.

Even if he didn't know Sonic, it'd be hard to focus on the task at hand when there's a half eaten corpse with its guts spilling out onto the floor in the same room. Especially since he knows that the man he's fighting right now is responsible for it.

I love the idea that Starved uses Sonics ego against him to capture him, and how he can easily see through Tails knife and stance to see his fear. This Eggman isn’t fueled by ego or anything to prove, he simply wants to feast.

The thing about Starved that gives me genuine fear is the fact there's not some demon possessing the video game of Sonic, not the soul of a victim possesing the game, or the corruption of other supernatural forces. This is the real deal, in universe. Eggman is far gone from who he was initially, just a mad narcissistic doctor trying to destroy Sonic. Now he's a killer, straight up murdering and consuming the victims (who mind you, some of them are sentient beings on the same level as humans) like he's a hunter. But not hunting for sport or what have you, but because eating the flesh of Mobians gives him so much euphoria to the point where he's willing to let his body take the effects/consequences of the diet, like Mobian meat is a drug to him. And in a way, he won, there isn't much of a triumph for the heroes. He eats Amy, Sonic, Ray, and many others. Sure Tails is alive, but he's permanently scarred with the loss of a tail, he can no longer fly, at least not as effectively/requiring much more effort.
His body isn't decaying, he just lost his hair and his skin changed colour (humans can do this when we eat specific foods)

This is a great example of a song slowly building up fear. Not only does it start of slow and gradually increases in the tempo, but also the fact that the health drain gradually gets more harsh instills even more fear in losing. And then the slow mellowing out at the end is a really nice touch. As shit as I think the EXE devs are as people, I can appreciate the work they have made

There’s a feeling of hope being depleted as the song goes on and speeds up, the fade to darkness only showing the characters in red, the choice of poses and perspective, and the lore of Starved really make this my personal fav.
Even if the Sonic.exe mod has been cancelled prematurely, watching the mods come out of such high quality has been a blast.

Honestly, one of my favorite things about this song outside of, well, the song itself is the game over. It's one of, if not THE creepiest game overs I've seen in an FNF mod.
The song itself is fantastic too, with how intense and unnerving the whole thing is. It really makes the situation at hand a lot more intense, and it's just so good. Easily my favorite song in the update (and probably in Vs Sonic.EXE as a whole).

I always saw Starved's lore as the Sonic series' original premise taking a dark turn. Think of how the original games had underlying themes of technology vs nature, manmade progress vs life on Earth. Think of how Starved could represent manmade progress at an even more destructive degree where life is consumed for the sake of that progress even as the Earth is being destroyed as it happens.
You aren't battling some otherworldly evil or a mischievous demon. You're battling against the embodiment of man's consumption, literally and metaphorically, of nature when it's at its worse.

one thing people don’t seem to notice about this timeline is that tails doesn’t actually get to meet sonic before he dies. since sonic cd comes before sonic 2 (confirmed by an easter egg in sonic cd and sonic origins), this means that tails is standing up to starved with no inspiration from his best buddy, and has no knowledge as to who sonic is, making this even more depressing

It gradually fills up during the song, hitting the notes make it go down a little. You don't die when your HP reaches 0, only when the fear meter completely fills up, but when you miss a note after the HP reaches 0 it drastically fills up

Starved is probably the scariest character in the mod. It’s pretty terrifying that he is not possessed by a demon and despite the consequences of losing his face, he still wants to eat all the mobiens. He went far enough to build robots to help him consume mobiens. And the fact that you see sonic lifeless with his guts falling out of him worsens it even more! They made a really weird idea work so well as a scary character!
Something about this guy makes me think he’s more dangerous than Sonic.exe somehow.

When I first even saw him I thought he was a minus skin lol (if you never played the minus mod it turns fnf icons into characters and gives them way more personality than before.)

@@joechristo2 I think it’s the atmosphere and how realistic it is. I’m not saying that losing your face over appetite is realistic but take it like this. In the real world, serial killers exist. And they are absolutely terrifying because they actually take place in real events of enjoying killing people. A monster that has control over the world is not as relatable as a serial killer. And starved is a serial killer so a fictional character doing something that can really happen is more scary than something that cant.
I do like the small detail that ypu dont see the arrows for Starved's vocals. He's unpredictable, Tails doesnt know what he's going to do. He can only act and plan based on what happens in the moment

I think there's hope for Tails. If he can master his fear, he essentially has Starved dead to rights. Sure, he reeks like death, his coloration is a constant reminder of the things he's done, and Sonic is dead.
But Starved is still just a man. Fear is all he has, at least here.
Absolutely love the song though. I think it encapsulates that feeling of rising fear extremely well.
Instead of wearing goggles I think tails should be wearing a blind fold. I’d imagine that if tails saw the horrors around him that he would succumb to fear which can get him accidentally killed so he has to rely solely on sense of hearing to even get close enough to attack Straved without going insane. That would explain why in that one section everything has sorta red outline because tails is imagining that what’s around him. Does that makes sense? Hopefully it makes sense.

A little thing that always left me with an odd feeling is the fact that it is said starved never eats animals raw, he always cooks them first. But here, guessing by the sake of horror, you can see sonic being half eaten and a lot of just guts and gore all around the room.

eggmans personality as a whole prevents him from actually winning with the ideal that villans dont normally win, but i think that eggman actually could take over like he does here killing just about everyone and even then he still is the smart man that he once was, just deranged and hungry, despite the whole eating bit, i really do think eggman could have done something like this if he was motivated enough, which in cases this is one of them i suppose

The ‘Fear’ Mechanic is really cool, as the bar fills up, Starved becomes more and more harder to beat, to the point where you’ll have to get a FC to actually beat him, it’s similar to Black Sun, but longer.. and harder.. Where missing costs you in the long run. And if you let the bar fill up, it makes sense why you can’t lower it by singing, Tails’ is too scared, and he’s just hoping he’ll beat the Starved Doctor, when Tails’ confronted him, he had confidence. But it diminishes completely if you let the bar fill up too much.

I genuinely love the fail screen, entirely because it triggers MY fight or flight. First time I saw it, I was ready to throw hands with him if need be, and it's rare that a game does that to me.
Eggman's vocals sound very inhuman and... unvocalistic, I guess... Which fits him, but kinda throws me away, because it seems slightly undecipherable, his sounds are just melting into one. But Tails' vocals, my god, his chromatics are just flipping best, it sounds like he actually sings, not just, like, a voice from some kind of musical program like FL Studio, it actually sounds like real singing, and his vocal shifting like on 2:15 are even giving me shivers. Magnificent!

2:04 REALLY HIT HARD THO, it really gives that fight or flight vibes, the music has a sense of fear in it that's why I'm loving this
I find it interesting how they represent the fight or flight reaction, like in this part where the screen reddens and darkens 2:04 referencing Tunnel Vision (loss of peripheral vision) focusing on the target and Sonic. Another interesting part is the red and black colors that current increase fear and anxiety.

considering both of them are pretty intelligent (i think they have the same i.q.) it makes me think that this song is just a battle of the wits between Tails and Starved (with Tails of course having doubts throughout the song). They both had a carefully calculated plan that they're now slowly revealing to each other, and how they outsmarted the other in some aspects of their plans.
I now have the mental image of tails and starved having a battle solely composed of them unveiling different machines, traps, and plans in a doofenshmirtz-esque final death duel of the minds.

It's mostly the more traditional animals, I'd imagine. Robotnik himself was always vegetarian, but Sonic probably ate some sort of pork and beef like lesser animal incapable of cognitive thought.

There's a detail about this song that i believe it's the best (maybe unintentional) and i haven't seen it mentioned yet, is that as the fear goes up the song speeds up and when the fear bar is full the song slows down again at the end.
Which is the same that happens to animals hearts when they are being hunted and catched by a predator, their heart rate increases and when they can't fight or flight they just succumb and accept their faith in a (normally) more calm way, and that is the vibe the song gives me, and it has become one of my top 5 solely based on that.
The scariest thing to me is Eggmans movements. Like who moves like that. He’s so happy with the new lifestyle he has he’s practically taunting Tails basically saying, “Oh look at the little Fox trying to kill me!! You were just a shadow of Sonic and he couldn’t even beat me! You have no chance!!” That’s what scares me most here. He knows he will win he smiled the whole way through almost seeming as if he’s laughing at the effort to defeat him.

Another note I've noticed too as well is at the very end of the song he slows down the tempo on purpose because he feels like he's going to win due to the fact that it looks like tails can't rebound from this

This song is one of the best in the mod because, It makes you feel like your tails perspective, this song makes you feel like you can be chased at any moment and triggers your flight or fight response.
I wonder why Eggman has gone insane from just going on essentially a carnivore diet. Could it be that mobian flesh has some disease that Eggman’s human immune system isn’t able to deal with? Maybe it could just be the fact he’s aware that what he’s doing is morally despite his primal instincts requiring more of the nutrients. This may all be the result of Eggman’s intelligent and animal side clashing, with the animal obviously winning and his human side almost checking out.
