I’m looking to get a manual 340i pretty soon although people tell me to get a auto have you had any runs with scats or gt’s being FBO with 91 octane and if so how did it go. Have you had any problems with car what should I watch out for etc… any tips would help. Love the POV videos bro keep it up 💯🥶🐌
To each their own. I have my car as a daily for now, to have fun, bang gears, race here and there and that’s all. I’m not looking to get the fastest dragy time out there or 1/4 mile times, heat .5 second slow down cause of the manual doesn’t bother me. Having a clutch and banging gears (to me) outweighs the faster auto times. That being said, I raced a FBO f82 m4 with stage 2 bm3 and beat it, also beat SRT’s, was right next to r6/gsxr600 so it’s quick without a doubt. Besides low coolant warnings, I’d just do your normal maintenance with the car and you should be good. I use injector cleaner here and there, oil changes every 3k miles, good quality gas, check plugs/coils, etc but no real major red flags with this car which is good. If you get into ethanol, i advise filling up with clean 93 every 3/4 fill ups

I have '16 340i with 6MT stage2 BM3. Its a blast dude. Yeah, you have fewer gears and slightly longer shift times but the ladies love a Manual. The 550 Clutch upgrade is only slightly more expensive than a normal clutch changeout, and there is a matter of preference with the CDV (Clutch Delay Valve) delete in the slave cylinder which opens up the line for slamming that clutch. I refill coolant a lot but that's common to the B58 in general.
I have the same turbo Vargas seems to got it right for the b58 Tons on people running them with no issues Main rule is to keep ur wgdc at max 90% ( prolongs rhe life on any hybrid)
Really depends on what I’m doing. If I’m setting a dragy time or racing, I’ll rev to 7k. For normal fun driving I short shift at 6500 or lower, don’t find it necessary to redline when I’m not racing or setting times

Also to add, I have never used 91, luckily I have 93 around and when I was on 93 fbo stock turbo, I beat a 5.0 and charger srt

Any thoughts on your Vargas GC turbo, I keep hearing mixed reviews on them. Also do you have any idea of the power output your getting on the car now?
So far knock on wood I have been loving the GC. Great bang for your buck and if I had to guess power, I’d say 560/570whp

Yes, went with the 335is/550i clutch. $300 on FCP and it’s been holding up well so far with everything
