SHINee actually has one of the most (if not THE most) successfull kpop boy group debut. They were the first rookie idols to achieve a grand slam (allll the awards) and has only been done once again by ikon EIGHT YEARS after SHINee). They had the highest rating SM debut song. Got invited to Dream Concert months after debut (a concert well-established groups are honoured to go to - though the quality has dimmed lately) and they had NO PROMO before their debut, not like other groups who have teasers leading up to it. They just sort of popped out of nowhere and took over. Replay is still considered to be the best debut song right now. And considering they all debuted hella young, their history is so impressive. Taemin is only 24 and has been in the industry for 10 years, when a lot of idols debut at this age. Also, SHINee - and Jonghyun in particular - are so impressive that they have a lot of self-composed/written songs in their albums, which might not be impressive for other groups but SM is notorious for controlling creative output and is very strict on letting idols create their own music. Jonghyun was the first soloist in SM to have a fully self-composed album. Even 10 years later, they're making big money for SM and have a lot of creative direction in their music now, which speaks volumes of their expertise. And because they're a contemporary group they've had so many different styles of music throughout the years. They truly are trendsetters - you can see this in the way that they release music way ahead of where the kpop scene is at at that current point in time. Honestly, you won't ever regret looking further into SHINee! They're all so individually unique and together they're really a blessing

Yeeeeeessss. Listen, I was into Kpop even back when they debuted, and I can't tell you how giddy of a feeling it was to experience a song like this in the Kpop world back then. There was no group like shinee when they came out. It's so smooth, and they danced so smoothly too. They were basically the first aesthetic group of their kind haha. So so good. If you're loving Jonghyun and Onew's voices in SHINee, you gotta check out DBSK aka TVXQ aka Tohoshinki (all different versions of the group's name), their seniors in their company, SM. In all my 10 years of being a K-pop fan, they're still unbeatable in vocal skills, wherein all 5 members could be lead singer levels in other groups. They'd bust out hard choreography and belt out high notes like no other. Then they'd sing ballads with beautiful 5-part harmonies like you're listening to angels singing. They debuted way back in 2003 and no other group has yet to reach their level in overall skill -- singing, dancing, AND performing. A few songs of theirs worthy of checking out are Mirotic (practically every boygroup has covered it at some point in their careers), Rising Sun (ridiculously hard choreography with high notes whut), Love In The Ice (power ballad), and Tonight (power ballad with high notes galore).

The style of following a girl walking around reminds me of "I Swear" by All-4-One. There's a throwback! I think you could definitely check out some Girl's Generation and Super Junior videos, from GG I like "Oh!" and "Run Devil Run" and from Suju "Don't Don", "U" and "It's You" are some examples that really lifted the groups up and paved the way. The style of following a girl walking around reminds me of "I Swear" by All-4-One. There's a throwback! I think you could definitely check out some Girl's Generation and Super Junior videos, from GG I like "Oh!" and "Run Devil Run" and from Suju "Don't Don", "U" and "It's You" are some examples that really lifted the groups up and paved the way. My favourite Shinee videos are probably Everybody and View, so you'll likely take some time to react to Everybody since it's more recent.

B2ST or BEAST was another amazing group though now they go by a different name. For girl groups I was into 2ne1, MissA and 4minute. I would recommend BigBang but i already know you're aware of them. Sadly, i know no playlist of those groups because at that time they were just releasing stuff. I'm kind of an old k-pop fan XD I was here even before BTS debuted lol
