@racegenious e36 are one of the most fun cars i drove.It's a little tricky at the limit but fast enough. It's not the newest, but it's a petrol. I did'nt get a petrol bmw because of the consumption.Mine, in circuit conditions or very fast driving it takes 9l/100km witch is much much more economical than a petrol at full capacity driving.But you don't have the sound and the feeling of a petrol
@irideansr The car i quite fast, but not a rocket. I only drove the 328i with sport suspension and 8-speed autobox and it was raining on the track day. That specidic car is very stiff and prone to oversteer in wet conditions. But it's still very precise and does exactly what you tell it to do - it was very good in my opinion. Other F30's with lesser specs we'll have to wait and se how good they are.
@irideansr thanks for your comment. Sorry, I don't have acces to the car anymore. I'm a testdriver and got to try the car on track in Cataluna. I did not make a video of the acc - I regret that now ;-)
@irideansr Nice car you have, I think you will be pleased with the new F30 - happy hunting. I own a 318is E36 Coupé - it's far away from the modern BMW's but it's still alot of fun.
@robbie1490 I only got to drive the Autobox - 8 speed and with the sport suspension. It's tail happy that's for sure. It handles very well and compared to the E90 it feels a bit more sophisticated and "grown up" It rained the day I drove it, so it was hard to say just how "grippy" it was. Also got to try the 320d - very smooth and balanced experience.
@kagolko Thank you for your comment. I can tell that I really love my job, and take it very seriously. I feel blessed, that I can do what I love for a living. I'm not "hating" on the new 3-series - it's a fab. car. But the sound of the legendary straight six are missing in this particular model (328i) and it's a shame BMW did not make the new straight four sound more raw and agressive - that's all :-)
@robbie1490 Yeah it is almost without character. At the very end of the revs there is a slight raw and cool noise - but this video does not show it well. But I agree with you - the lack of engine noise is one of the biggest flaws of the new engine
@racegenious This was just a joke. I meant, that the sound of the R4 is just a joke, if you compare it with the old R6. This is no BMW 328i - sound, but a 316i - sound with a cheap mufler.
@racegenious Yeah, it doesn't sound like a bad 4 cylinder but no where near the inline 6. But other than the sound, how does it drive? Is it about the same as the previous?
@robbie1490 Yeah, Well we already know the 335i-engine from other BMW-models. It's a good engine but a newly developed natuarally aspirated straight six is on my wishlist...but I don't think it's gonna be a reality. M3 - yeah it's gonna be a beast
@tamiyahornet If I would like to drive a car with 4 cylinders, I purchase a small car like Ford Fiesta, VW Polo or something. I drive a 1997 523i E39, it is very economic, if I like. 7 Liters per 100 kilometers, no problem (Speed maximum 120 km/h), if I drive normaly, so it´s 8 to 8.5 liters, so don´t tell me, that the r6 is not economic.
@qwriop E46 330i 7l/100km???! ;-) ;-) Veritatem dies aperit! Look at the frequency scale on spritmonitorde -> 61 user got 10.2 l/100km average! 31 user got 12l/100km.

@racegenious Sadly i'm with you there, I don't think BMW will be going back to NA. But you never know, that's on my wishlist as well!
