- I'm a drummer who has never watched a Honkai Impact concert before... that changes with Forest Capriccio. I've played Honkai Impact 3rd for a little while now, but haven't progressed very far in the story. I completed my Himeko chapter 9 initiation as a new Honkai Captain, but the last thing I did in the HI3 story was witness Bronya becoming the Herscherr of Reason. So I'm going to watch this new Honkai concert and react to all the amazing live videos and share my thoughts as a drummer!

To answer your question, the background is actually a big LED Screen and then they add the rest in post. Theres a behind the scenes video for the second concert on the Honkai Impact 3rd Channel.
actually almost all honkai impact vocal song using english excpet for hoshi ga kudaketa & world diva
honkai world diva, too.
Those really are only Japanese due to the origin being GGZ and also focusing on the only JP member of Honkaiverse, (Kiana is EU/US, Bronya is Russian, Seele is Russian)
Also are the few remaining still in series that are writen and originally sung by TetraCalyx. Though she still writes most of the music even now.

@@Oyashiro_Chama I think it's kinda interesting how most JP GGZ song still kept the JP lyrics and in Honkai World Diva got a bit of a remake in how the music sounds.
But then for some reason we have Tsumi No Tenshi that was originally JP lyrics but then remaked into Cyberangel with english lyrics instead.
They go into depth on the earlier versions and it is indeed a lights that sync with the current greenscreen. The entire setup is insane.

About that Kevin Kaslana theme; it's a GGZ song "Lyin See you in the next world" and the animated you saw there is in the HI3 Manga~ it's the story of the previous era featuring the 13 flamechasers and Dr. MEI.

Da Capo for me has 3 meanings
1.) is the beat for the motivational intentions it bring.
2.) the lyrics tell you the unstoppable power of time and what it brings people, sadness and love depending on the situation or time.
3.) and the journey of the Main protagonist of the game through honkai… Hardships like powerlessness, loneliness, running away from the truth, anger, sorrow, sadness and many more negative feelings. But also with love, hope, courage, bravery, power to bear the burdens of many, gained the support of many, and many more positive things.
overall its just a mix of things that will make you realise what the song really means in A BIG WAY, and i know most songs have meaning in them, but DA CAPO is just impossibly perfect in describing its feelings to every Captain who play the game.

Welp... now that you've basically watched your first HI3 concert, when are you gonna watch the other 2? Also, since you pretty much said "F it" to spoilers... maybe you should react to ALL the animated shorts. By my experience, even without full context they will still hit hard (especially so with context of course). You could also make a series of reacting to the PV trailers as some of the music in the concert were taken from them.

Little late on the comment, loved the video! But if you liked the Oaths song (the red one with the white guy being the main singer) then you would LOVE the theme song for the next chapter in that called Oracle. They did a cover of it for the second concert (this was the 3rd concert) but both the regular song and its cover are so disgustingly good its by far my favorite song from honkai.
the english music is intentionally made to be like that, their is no mistranslation from chinese to english, because the songs are original english lyrics as far as i know. im not 100% sure, but pretty sure it’s intended. (Honkai World Diva, is one of the only japanese song in the entire game because of the center character )

All song but one is english. But some are based on ggz (gun girl z or Hokai gokuen 2) song, like cyberangel.

there is no basketball ark in honkai, because Kevin and DR. MEI is a couple in the Previous Era, DR. MEI and Raiden Mei are two completely different people from each other
My goodness, if you get to meet Elysia, both her normal form and her herrscher form, you’ll come to realize just how much an emotional turmoil and impact one character can cause. She’ll take you on a ride through the emotional spectrum in such a short amount of time. You’ll come to understand why she stands to be one of the most beloved characters of HI3, if not the most, despite being just a side character. I always say she can easily rival the protagonist trio, and if not for my respect to the three, she’d mop them clean.
EDIT: Also, you said you haven’t seen the other two concerts, so if you’re clinched with time and have to pick, go for Dreamy Euphony.

Thing is, these songs ARE in English in the originals. They are all bangers to, HoYoVerse has always hit for me, and not just the music, but everything they've done. At least for the Honkai series, I don't really play Genshin much, I do listen to the music though.
If you really want more Elysia, watch the Dreamy Euphony concert last year.

"That guy" is Kevin; kind of Fu Hua's and Elysia's former commanding Officer.
The smaller grey haired girl is Prometeus, an assistant of (another) Dr. Mei (spectacle woman), and the violet/white woman is Hare, and she is... complicated.
I m genshin player but after watching this concert my curiosity to play honkai is increasing😍
