I didn’t have elmers so I used an industrial epoxy… I haven’t been able to open my mouth in three months. 😐
Kiddin’; great vid, great hack, great ‘stache, great job! 🙌
now i can sniff glue all day, cool
LOL
I know thos was tongue in cheek, but I was in high school with a guy that got on the bus with a bottle of Elmer's, shoving it up his nose and inhaling deeply. I asked what he was doing, and he replied "This stuff'll get you high, man."
To which i responded, "That's Airplane Glue. All that stuff will do is give you sticky boogers."
True story.
LMBOOOO HAHAHAHA DDDEEEAAADDD
😂
Hahahaahahahahaahahahaahah 😆
"rather extravagant ways" is an understatement. They form shapes with beards not even good architects can match.
Some hire a structural engineers to verify that spans are safe with human use.
Hats off to them
I just started taking my mustache to competition this year. Now I am gearing up for the National Beard and Mustache Championships. Your videos have been super helpful in helping me hone my technique! I appreciate what you do!
That’s badass man!
Wow that actually works lol Who would’ve thought Elmers glue stick
Great video.
I remember, as a punk rock kid, elmers glue was the secret to a sturdy mohawk.
Next video will be about how to dye your beard with Kool-Aid ;)
I would fancy Wild Blue Berry
Glue works in mysterious ways.
- Jack
And I usedcto iron my hair to make my Mohawk pin strait
Hell yes. I was rocking a 11.5 inch purple mohawk. 7 spikes from front to back.
Did you ever try Knox unflavored gelatin. It was a little stiffer than the Elmer s glue. Only thing for me was the Elmer s washed out easier and the gelatin made like little balls all over your mohawk like on a wool coat.
Incredible ‘stache ! Thanks for showing us how it’s done.
Greg, STILL, One of the best Hacks...EVER!!! I Continue to use it Every Christmas Season!
I obtain the same result with a wax for hair. I think Beardbrand should change the formula of their wax, we want strong hold, not medium hold =)
oh ok what kind of wax do you use
I use Peckerhead wax, very strong hold
The hair glue works too. Noo too gentle with the hair but in an event your mustache won't move an inch
COMING SOON: Beardbrand Glue Stick - $20

😂😂😂
hmmmmmm
Don't tempt us.

Really, though, Greg said it'd be bad to use everyday, also how am I suppose to kiss with that glue smell on my face? Limited edition?
No scent...non toxic....waterbased
Thanks for the tip! I'm not much of a moustache person but willing to give this a try.
Bro, I'm a man in my early 40's & I enjoy your content quite a bit & always come always with a smile.. 🙏🏻🙏🏻 God bless brother
I uses Elmer's Blue School Glue for my hair for years, I totally dig using stick on the beard lol.
Excellent improvisation!!
I have some wild hairs in my 'stache that I've never been able to tame. I might try the glue stick to finally tame them. Thanks for the tip!
You can try hair gel. It's less toxic than glue
Wow! I would have never guessed. Going to beusing this the next time I want to really put my handlebars out there!
Hey Greg, what product to you use in your hair? I haven't found anything that can hold mine as perfect as yours!
handsome chap ! Working on that type of mustache myself !
Great video man 👍 . You should rock that look all the time, you look good and up scale that way.
DAAAAAMN. Great tips.
Epic hack, Greg!
Killer stache and beard!!!
I'm lucky enough to just twist and train mine to look like this. I still wanna try the citrus products tho.
Can you please tell me - Is it possible to dye a medium brown beard to salt&pepper? Love your videos. Thanks
Well I'm glad we got those straightened out.😅
What a stud!
Not surprised at all. As a young punk back in highschool, i used to use Elmer's gel glue to style my hair. The key aspect of it as well as the sticks, is that it's water soluble, so it dries hard, but it breaks down when you wet it.
Very neat vid
I found over the years for nice hold and really stiff ways to get the hair to hold well is a product called murrays pomade wax
It's very inexpensive and comes in a nice size orange can. One can lasts about a year for me and costs typically around 3 bucks.
It was typically designed for use on afros but once I was turned onto it by friends we have used it for years with great results
The product I bet would work well for those curls too
If my stache gets big enough I will have to try
Thanks for sharing
I tried this an just didn't feel like I got a good hold.
I KNEW IT! I've used since a year the solid soap to make the mustache stiff! I'll try with a nice flavoured glue ahahha
I like the handlebar curls, trying to get my bf to wear this look but not having much luck here :(
Glue stick uses PVP (polyvinylpyrrolidone), the same component hair spray and hair gel uses to stiffen the hair.
Thanks 🙏
Would the mustache wax you offer do a suitable job on a day to day basis?
You looked like Daniel Day Luis in that older photo from the competition.
hey, for me the product from Recamier/Salon-In "Firming Pomade" works perfectly, I use it at the morning, after the shower, dry my beard and mustache, apply oil beard and balm and then this product to molding my curls; and at night my mustache still firm like a rock.
I would have never thought about using a glue stick. I love it.
I never thought about putting glue into my beard. Looks really good, but I would might not get comfy with getting it into a state of beeing a rock.
A price for beauty.....
No one mentions if its easy to clean elmers out ??????
@@michaelporcari8542 it is, it's water soluble
WELL DONE, THANKS FOR THE 411 VERY INFORMATIVE, RAH! WELL DONE
How do we wash it off!... Oil and shampoo?
Sounds great does elmers wash out eas????
when & how do you take it off?
I'm active duty AF and I know I'm pushing the limits right now. But, I'm working on growing my mustache to a length that I can put twists into it. Any tips on making this happen without "breaking" the rules (AFI 36-2903) which say hair cannot go past the top of the upper lip and past the natural lip line at the end of the mouth where the lips meet. Any tips?
So THAT is the secret for the wild staches! Damn, this just blew my beard back.
The secret is out!
- Jack
Perfection.
How do you effectively wash out the glue?
I do this 4 times a week and honestly, If I condition and take care of my hair in between it doesn't seem to suffer at all.
How to get my mustache strong... I've seen my mustache hair falling off too often.. Tell me how to stop it...
Thought I would hate it........ I love it
The Epic Moustache is Great ! Thanks Greg !
It gets better and better with each new video.
- Jack
Excelente video.
Does glue dry out the hair?
Holy Moustache Batman. Speechless. I've now seen it all.
I really have a problem making handlebar moustache since my hair is too stiff and thick. Maybe the glue would help.
Thumb's up buddy!
THANK YOU, I have had an On again Off again relationship with Facial Hair. My wife and daughters like when I have a full beard. The reason for the On/Off relationship is not to try and piss off my wife or make my youngest daughter cry... (has happened) it's because I don't know where to go to get a proper trim and a few places that offer bird trims charge a lot... SO... I try and do it myself and I screw up so badly that I get pissed off and shave it all off to start again. Thing is I am getting older and the hair on my head and face take longer to grow so now I just let it grow wild. I stumbled onto your videos re: mustache curl and find them GREAT! I wish I knew about them earlier. heading over to your website to grab some product. (good thing I am running low on what I already have)
I am curious. You mentioned that in competitions guys would try and cheer by bringing in beard hair with lip hair. with what I mentioned above, Hair is wild, and I fear self trimming. What techniques do you use to separate the two areas? Do you actually use a trimer to "PART" it or are you just training with a comb in two directions?
Thanks again your look is what I have been trying to emulate and your videos are helping.
You look like Zac Efron from the future. Great video! Thanks for the tips.
What mustaches glue name please I wana buy it
Trying to do a handlebar mustache myself how long did it take for it to grow long enough to curl it’s been like a month for me it’s still filling in so far I got a lil curl very small but I can’t wait to get a curl like yours my man
You should be good by now
I was wondering how you did your mustache
Hey Greg, question for you.. what do you do with a single hair that seems to have rotated in an off direction? I plucked one of my mustache hairs because it wasn't laying flat. I feel bad for having done this but want to know for next time how to handle hairs that just won't go with the flow of the rest. I had ok handlebars last year and I'm working my way back to them again.
I just keep nipping the end off while continuing to curl it in the desired direction. It usually sorts itself out, but it will look funny for a little while. It's all about patience. Mine's been growing for months and I haven't come close to completely training it. But I'm always making progress with it. I have a couple/few wild hairs that just stick out randomly lol
I pluck these little bastards, then show the plucked corpse of a hair to the rest of the stache so they know to keep in line...
badass
Sir what is glue name?
Tried this and it worked great but my girlfriend told me there’s little chunks of glue left behind and they seem impossible to remove without ruining the shape of the stache, any tips?
Good sir
I think home made glue is very organic with no Oder I think cornstarch and sugar are one of the ingredients
mind blown
For a full-on expedition moustache I styled mine with wax and then added barely diluted white PVA glue with an artists paintbrush. It sets clear and by jove my moustache was crispier than a starched shirt. It was jolly hard to remove, but for the more adventurous chap it's just the ticket when out exploring. Try it, and tally-ho.
How did you get it all out sir?
@@SvinTheViking Hot soapy water, and a metal moustache comb. It did pinch a bit, but was only used for special occasions.
Okay looks great! But how do you remove the glue after?
+Adrian Serrano wash it like normal. It's water soluble.
Beardbrand thanks!
Silver Goat for real . 🐐🥇
You, sir, are a beautiful man. I love all your hair you got going on, it clearly has a lot of personality! If I could grow a mustache or beard, I'd totally rock it the way you do. Too bad I'm a woman and I only got one mustache hair.
Does that glue stick wash out well?
What product name mustaches wax name please?
not that it matters much but ive used elmers glue to put my mohawk up for over 10 years until they stopped selling it never had a problem with my hair
I made the big mistake of trimming my stash for the first 3 months of growing my beard and it’s now playing the catch-up name. I can just curl it now but I wish I would have never started trimming.
The temptation to trim, especially early on can be tough, totally get that!
- Jack
Awesome video Greg, I cant wait to have my own handlebar curl mustache, I always wanted to have one.
A medium hold wax is all you need for day to day wear
Greg Berzinsky thanks for the tip man.
Greg, that beard is boss as fuck!
That's badass! Now I just need to grow facial hair!
Why not use gel instead?
I love to handle bar mine but I ride a motorcycle day to day
That’s a hell-of-a-hack! I’ll have to give it a try.
Do you think that using hairspray on the mustache can damage it?
Pertosa98 I would never spray something like that near my face especially near my mouth. Also, when you eat and drink, it’s inevitable you will be eating hairspray too, not cool. There are so many other, more natural options. Even the glue stick is made safe for kids and is not toxic.
Epic
Thanks for the video Greg, beard greg ------------->>>>>>>>>>> clean shaven greg
Donde quedó la otra chica
Clubman’s Wax in the tube, heated to a liquid while shaving is the best…dries hard as a rock and smells good
My goal is to get my 'stache long enough to braid it. :D.
I use curling irons. I have four sizes from 1/4" to 1", perfect curls in about 20 seconds per side. Finish with lanolin most days, wax occasionally if needed.
What does sea salt do for the hair? Stiffens when dry?
ADMA kinda. It makes it more easy to work with
Ever try Got2B hair glue
did you color your hair? or is it just the contrast?
My moustache is darker with just a little grey compared to my beard which is really silvery white. The lighting is dramatic here.
I used to use a glue stick in my handlebar. It works great, but I noticed it lightens the hair.
damnnn, your handlebars! handlebars look better than the laid back style of the stache.
They curl up well---but for day to day wear, I like to let my beard do the talking
How do you then, remove it?
I have never found a product combo and technique that holds up a big curl. I'm going out now to buy a glue stick and try this.
How would you get that out of your moustache?
It washes right out with water. Nothing to worry about.
- Jack
What about washing that glue out? That should have mentioned atleast once. Anyway, the idea and the mustache curl is crazy, the awesome kind of crazy!
School glue (both the stick and the white liquid glue) washes out of hair with warm water and soap. I've used it in my beard and moustache on Halloween and "crazy hair" days. Just need a bit of conditioning afterward to restore the natural oils.
Elmer's is washes out with warm water and beard wash
I know this isn't a video about hair but can anyone tell me the style of haircut this gentleman has? I have thick wavy hair and i don't know if I'd be able to pull off but I'd definitely like to give it a try.
I'm grew my mustache out as a goof during covid but dammit if this thing hasn't taken on a life of it's own. I never thought I'd be online looking at mustache grooming and styling tips.
Quiff
@@vladfather916 Ah! Thank you, sir
I wanted to know maybe is it might give me a stomach ache
I like mine handlebared
What is the sea salt spray for?
Adds texture and the look of thickness to hair. It's great for styling!
