  • The Minnesota Timberwolves have consistently had one of the best Defenses throughout The NBA. And a big factor to that defense is Jaden McDaniels. In this video we breakdown what makes Jaden so impactful on the defensive end. And analyze where his game is at offensively.

Back in the early 2000's there was tayshaun prince when played for the pistons since he use his length to his advantage and guarded players like t-mac, kobe, dwayne wade and even lebron james. I miss defense being played back in 2004 when the detroit pistons would try to hold teams under 70 points and it happened in game 3 in the nba finals against kobe and shaq and the rest of the players on the team. The players on the pistons and even larry brown said that they preferred playing man to man defense instead of playing zone defense since that's what made there defense so effective and that zone defense made there defense worse due to the holes in the zone defense like giving the opponents extra rebound possessions and open jump shots. Lindsey hunter was my favorite on the ball defender since he has quick feet and quick hands and is very good at putting pressure on the ball and always manages to get steals with mike james has his back court guard defender since lindsey hunter and mike james were known for there on the ball defense as backup guards to chauncey billups and richard hamilton.

Opening night of the season Lebron was miced up. D-lo passed him the ball at the elbow and afterwards Lebron said: "Don't pass me the ball in the mid range. It's too close to the basket." And Isaac still can’t score for you which aside from numerous injuries and a ton of rehab time, Isaac has never helped lead a defense to the playoffs. It will be a long time before you see a defense first player in the all star game. The all star game is basically the dunk and 3 point contest combined.

Hey no nba player has everything. Look at Steph Curry. He’s extremely talented but a hell hole on defense. That’s why you build a team off each other’s weaknesses. Timberwolves need to trade or bring someone in that’s a 3 point nightmare. That will space out the floor better. I don’t see a need for at those wings at 6’9. They need to keep height to only 3 players on the floor rather than 4. Jaden, Towns and Rudy. They need a point guard that can shoot better than the current old man they have now. They should at a minimum bring him in from the second unit not the first until. However the goal is to have him in about 30% of the time when Jaden is playing so he can help space the floor when defenses try to clog the paint

Stop the hyperbole. You have seen defenders like him, and better…IN THE 90’s!! In this era….no…because no one plays defense. The Wolves coach figured out that all they have to do is play tough d, and they can win it all..because none of the players are used to it. They will panic and turn the ball over and miss shots…which is exactly what happened.
