Classic ABR. They have their sound, but they always mix things in to keep it interesting. That’s why they’re my favorite band

As someone who's been listening to ABR since 2011, I would have to agree that the number 1 pro in this song is also its number 1 con. I expected a lot more from my boys following their release with Jesse last year. But they're still my ALL TIME FAVORITE band! Damn, Matt still doesn't fail to amaze me all these years. I've quit drumming 5 years ago because life happened, but he's the reason why I got my own kit, so I can play Back Burner exactly just like him LOL!
Also, sharing my favorite songs of them per album, all of these I've covered with my band back then:
    1. Suburbia
    2. Redemption
    3. Meddler
    4. Empire
    5. Provision
    6. Martyr
    7. Hero of the Half Truth
    8. Defender
Their upcoming album is still one of my most anticipated ones this year alongside Sleep Token. METAL DOGGO!

Saw these guys the other night! They still bring it! I might go higher than your 7, and go 8.6!

Metaldoggo! Also, I bet the conversation for the video went smt like "hey, we need to brainstorm a concept for the 'Backfire' video" followed by "or, you know, we could just put... Fire... In the Back".

The bassist Dustin playing lead guitar so he probably wrote the song. They switch it up every once in a while. Rhythm guitarist Brent playing bass. They did this for Ties That Bind as well

All of these people saying it sounds more of the same. Hard disagree. Every ABR album has its own identity and vibe imo. The section between the breakdowns in this track is so ominous and evil sounding. They’ve never sounded like that before. A lot of screams on this sound otherworldly compared to anything Jake has done before. I think a lot of people would have a different take if they didn’t go into listening to this song thinking “oh let me guess, it’s just like all of their other stuff”

This is why we love ABR! In a sense; They have their own sound. There is no way you could mistake hearing a song from them and not know it is ABR. Been a fan since Messengers came out.

It's abr, everyone complains "tHEy SouND thE SaMe" which may or may not be true but they've already proven time and time again that it sells. Atleast they arnt going backwards like alot of other bands from the same Era. Everyone else getting soft or playing softer music and abr still banging out. I'd rather have the same old heavy stuff over some new trash 🗑

@@boxkid759 ummm no not really man the fact of the matter is metalcore is a dying genre and it’s been for a while and abr stands at the top of the mountain for there consistency while other bands just fall of or never drop a new single in 4 years plus

I'm not that familiar with ABR even though I do know what they generally sound like, but I enjoyed that song quite a lot. Very good 2000s metalcore with some fun progressive elements to prevent things from feeling too predictable while still sounding familiar. Good stuff, looking forward to this album.

They continue to impress. It's not the most artistically impressive music, but man they just keep working on their technicalities and improving in that way.
Matt on drums sounds like he has 4 arms.

I've always had a neutral opinion on them. Neither liked or disliked them.
This sounds far more interesting than anything they've done in the past though, to my ears. I love it.

I don't know if it sad or happy how good this guys are. On one side, it's awesome seeing legends still kicking ass, in other side, it's pretty pathetic that guys who are on scene for 20 years are completely outdoing modern, newer core bands.

Loved them since Messengers came out and honestly think they've gotten stale and lost some magic. Every album having the exact same production, same sound, and same style gets boring after a long while. Guardians was the first record of theirs' i didn't much care for and this is heading that way for me too, sadly. Its missing something that makes it special... its like oh nice more ABR that sounds identical to the last 15 songs
