What an outstanding sharpening system. This and the version 1 are leagues ahead of any other regularly available sharpening systems. Thanks for showing us again sir.
Your videos are the BEST! Your first video on the TSPROF inspired me to try my hand at sharpening using a fixed angle system. I’ve always used a honing rod and purchased a beginners system, choosing the Lansky 5 stone set up and have had okay luck so far, I just wanted to get my hands a little dirty with it before investing in the big dog. Thank you for taking so much care and having so much attention to detail in your workshop videos, it’s nice to see someone give so much genuine respect to other fabricators and tradesman. Keep it up!
Cody Could you please do common mans sharpening video for kitchen knives. Similar to when you put together the common mans toolbox. Maybe a common mans sharpening kit if you can’t afford the Russia kit. Thanks! Love your videos.
Hey wranglerstar I would just like to show my appreciation for you and your family and all of your many friends who help with the videos they give me inspiration to try many of these things for myself. I'm an Australian and just recently moved back to Australia from Iowa after 3 years. If I ever have the chance to thank you in person for all the inspiration you give me and your many other subscribers may God watch over you and your family for many years to come.
Grayman ---> Very true... many peeps whining about the price tag. Especially the fully loaded kit. However, as you mentioned, the Quality of the Profile is Superb... The Profile FAIAP, is Custom made. Very high Quality, Custom products, come with a hefty price tag... that's life... ✔
That sharpener looks amazing. I have been using an Edge Pro sharpener for years, and it has a very similar design. The big difference is that the Edge Pro sharpeners don't clamp the knife. You are to hold the knife and are able to move the knife as you sharpen it. It's nice because you can turn the knife around the tip and keep the grind more even around the corner, and there is literally no limit to the length of knife that it will sharpen, even a sword could be sharpened with it. The clamp system and detent on the rotating mechanism on the Trsprof looks like a dream to work with. I also love the idea of using the digital protractor, I will definitely use that trick on the next knife I sharpen.
Butter knife !! You know they may have sent you it no cost to you, but you have sold many for them. It’s just something you have earned as a thank you. Makes me like the company more.
I have tried everything to sharpen knives as well And to no avail. I finally just bought some new knifes and those got dull very quick. Excited to see what you have discovered!
Im one of those guys who has purchased this on your recommendation and my 7 yr old son has a thriving sharpening business because of it. He has just afforded his first dirt bike, an old pw80. I listen to the nay sayers about sponsorships and product placement yada yada and it drives me nuts. Your channel brings value to our lives. Thank you. Btw, ive noticed the increased bevel size at the tip and i think it has more to do with increased thickness at the spine than the slight change in angle. My opinion.
really enjoy your videos. love the passion and adoration of this product that you have. i could play with that detent for an hour im sure. knife twists round, knife stops, knife twists round, knife stops... beautiful product.
Can't wait to get my hands on one of these! I've wanted one since the first video but have been waiting to have some free cash because it's (justifiably imo) not cheap. I don't have a shop full of knives, but I've always been paranoid about sharpening especially on the more expensive one... this thing looks like ZERO guess work... and the nerdy wannabe engineer in me loves it. Thanks for doing the update!
Just a tip... mark the sharpening stones on the back side with a marker or better yet a paint pen. I don't know why they don't do this originally, but sure as you don't mark them, you will forget which is which, and that can get frustrating in a hurry. Second tip... always pull/push the leather strops and the glass platen diamond adhesive strips away from the sharpened edge, never towards the sharpened edge. Pulling or pushing one towards the sharpened edge will always cut the strop or strip.
I have the first version and love it. I use it to sharpen any knife I have, but mainly for the ones I make. I am a part time knife maker and needed something to get a consistent sharp edge. I use it to hone and final sharpen my knives after finish grinding on the belts.
I wish my kitchen knives were sharp enough to split paper. We'd eat a lot more paper at meal time if we could only slice it more effortlessly. Unfortunately I never sharpen my kitchen knives and they're only sharp enough to slice, tomatoes, potatoes, onions, celery, carrots, peppers, steak, cheese, bread, etc... all the crappy stuff.
JCP there is a different clamp for scissors. It holds the blades of the scissors more vertical. That way you can actually match the factory bevel. Then the process is the same. I find it works better to only cut on the push stroke with scissors.
I have been trying to figure I out what sharpener you have been using for the longest I finally found it .. thank you so much God Bless you, your review has been so helpful.. bank you for your videos and your your time God Bless
Great video, I think the mini torx bits are for taking apart pocket knives, like taking the blade off, stuff like that. Some of my pocket knives have mini torx.
Great video Cody! I want one of those so bad I can hardly stand it. Being disabled there are few things that I'm still able to do and one of these would help fill the time and maybe even enable me to make a few bucks. Gotta' start saving up! IMO these are the very best knife sharpeners on the planet.
I bought one of those angle finder months ago for my original sharpener makes a big difference because the manual angle reader that came with it was the only negative to it.
I'm a chef so i might get this in the future for my kitchen knives. I've used japanese wetstones for sharpening and that does work but it's messy. Might give this a shot.
That device makes sharpening look like a piece of cake. Exactly what I need lol I think you should do a giveaway with the old one :) I could see one major improvement with this sharpener. I think they should make an attachment/adaptor that would allow you to sharpen chisels and plane blades etc..
hi Wranglestar. thx for your videos. oke here is a suggestion to use your new sharpening system: Make your Benchmade 940 just as sharp as you really want/need it. I wich you mutch fun with your new toy 😉 Kind regards Rene
You're gunna make me wanna get the upgrade. I passed on it when I bought mine for cost. But I have loved the one I have. Just need to source new stones now.
I'd love a set up like this. I use 5 different grit whetstones and just go by feel when I sharpen my knives and go by feel for angles. Something like this would ensure a perfectly consistent angle grind on every blade.
Love this video. I saw the old one and was wondering if they still made them. Nice to see the new and improved version. It's my favorite Wranglerstar video.
Now that you have MarkII for your sharpening cabinet, take hte mark one and make it mobile, Drill some holes on the bottom or lid of hte Mark I box, and insert some threaded inserts, and then when you use the sharpener for your fire buddies or something, you have a working surface to mount it too. A sharpening "cabinet" made from the carry box.
Like you, I've tried several different methods and crapped out mostly. I did end up with the Lansky 4 rod turn box system that I've had for 10 years or so and just got some great results with it finally. I ended putting so pressure I that I was not comfortable with and the edge turned out very sharp this time. And another great thing, I still have all my fingers....LOL I would very much like you to sharpen something like a butter knife, that would be great. Love your vids.
regarding the polishing paste (info from the webpage) Gray - for stainless steel, rough grit. White - finish for all kinds of metal. Aluminium oxide 20/32 mkm It is recommended to use with leather blank.
You are an inspiration to many people...keep up the great work brother...and when you are tired and think you wanna give up....just do some more work just to prove it...peace... :))
I ordered mine in December. Its now the end of April. They don't even respond to your inquiries. Over $500 of my money and I dont have a clue when or if I will get it. I love your other videos. People should save their money until production improves.
I can’t believe that you have not seen or heard of the electronic angle finder they have been around for a long time and you being a carpenter would of got one lots of carpenters do have them I’ve had one now for 5 years apart from that I enjoyed the video looking forward to seeing you sharpen the butter knife
I couldn't find this sharpening system on the website. I seen the original one but not the newest version. Just was wondering how much and how long the shipping takes? Thanks Wranglerstar! You are a true inspiration to me!
Privet! To the right of the list you can find an arrow. There is 3 another kits. Usually an order is delivered in 15-25 days since confirmation and cost on average $80-$85.
You are absolutely right. There is 2 types of a clamps. Default clamps have sharpening angles 10-32°. And fillet clamps have angles 6,5° - 32°. It's made for thin and narrow fillet knives.
Many common knife companies use torx screws to hold their knives together including benchmade and kershaw so to get a torx set is nice if you need to take apart your knife and clean and oil it yourself instead of sending it in to the factory
Wranglerstar: For the fanatics that want to keep the angle even from one end of the blade to the other, they have a "lens kit" option that makes this possible. US$68.
I'm trying to think how they could make something to compensate for any given blade shape. Even so though, with a arm that long, being so far from the center pivot, I would imagine any given knife having less than .25 degrees of change from heel to point. If that at all, I would imagine most Kitchen like knives having a curve that almost matches the radius of the arm, if that makes any sense. On my Wicked Edge, that has a much shorter arm length than this, I often get less than .4 of a degree across the edge, which is small enough that any irregularity in the grind of the knife is more noticeable.
GREAT DEAL ON THE SOG SEAL PUP ELITE !!!!! goo.gl/GHSUCY
I need this in my life!
My coworkers tease me for my obsession with keeping my knives sharp!
This would take all my knives to a whole new level!
What an outstanding sharpening system. This and the version 1 are leagues ahead of any other regularly available sharpening systems. Thanks for showing us again sir.
Wow Cody, you are almost to 1 million subscribers. Quite a long way from the Wrangler Barn days! Congrats!

Would love that
Arkansas Stones.
Keith Brookshire personally I like the dc4. Maybe one of these days I’ll have to try an Arkansas stone

Honestly, for the quality, their asking price is VERY reasonable.

@impactofredemption its just because of the shipping and so on
in russia it is just from 400euro to 550 euro.... so its not their fault

The Torx drivers can be used to adjust the tension on the pivot in a pocket knife
I have tried everything to sharpen knives as well

I'm going to buy one of these when I get the extra coin.
It may not be as practical but I to like the green wood box
That is sweet.
I definitely vote for seeing a butter knife sharpened.
been wanting one of those for a long time. They're made like the way we used to make stuff back in the day...Thanks Cody, great vid!
It HAS to be a great sharpener when someone like you can sharpen a knife.
You of all people deserve a free one. Don't feel bad. It an amazing tool!
really enjoy your videos. love the passion and adoration of this product that you have. i could play with that detent for an hour im sure. knife twists round, knife stops, knife twists round, knife stops... beautiful product.

The angle actually doesn't change across.the plane.of the blade. Simple little life has a great video on this

B COz Lmao
I loved the first video and as soon as I saw the title I was so happy there was a sequel
It looks very Nice. And seems to work great.
I've heard it can also sharpen scissors, can we get a scissor sharpening video?
JCP there is a different clamp for scissors. It holds the blades of the scissors more vertical. That way you can actually match the factory bevel. Then the process is the same. I find it works better to only cut on the push stroke with scissors.
I agree
I used sandpaper. Fairly fine grade. And just make a lot of cuts.
I have been trying to figure I out what sharpener you have been using for the longest I finally found it .. thank you so much God Bless you, your review has been so helpful.. bank you for your videos and your your time God Bless
Very nice piece of kit and some good improvements on the original one.
"Cold War Chic".......lol.......that is priceless!!
FYI... The angle cube is an awesome tool for setting the angle on your table saw, jointer, etc as well.
Beautiful and functional. Love it!
Thank you very much for the video. It looks almost one hand friendly
Needs a new title: "From Russia with Love"
So cool. I like when you do these videos. Like the old days.
Great video, I think the mini torx bits are for taking apart pocket knives, like taking the blade off, stuff like that. Some of my pocket knives have mini torx.
Cody you are such a good guy. Watching your vids gives me the fizz lol.
i just have watch the previous video of its predecessor three times and it never gets boring, now another to add to the list!
that is awesome!! I am a chef and sharp knifes are my lively hood. I send them out for sharping. this will save me so much money!!
Looks like a very nice, and fun, sharpening system.
The tiny Torx bits are probably for the hinges on folding knives. A lot of them now are those type.
Great video Cody!
I want one of those so bad I can hardly stand it. Being disabled there are few things that I'm still able to do and one of these would help fill the time and maybe even enable me to make a few bucks. Gotta' start saving up!
IMO these are the very best knife sharpeners on the planet.
I tried to buy the mark 1 several times and they were always on back order. Now I really want the mark 2!
I think the torx bits are for tightening knife blades
I bought one of those angle finder months ago for my original sharpener makes a big difference because the manual angle reader that came with it was the only negative to it.
That sharpening video sounds cool!
nothing better than a sharp knife that will hold a edge for a long time, its all about the angle!
I'm a chef so i might get this in the future for my kitchen knives. I've used japanese wetstones for sharpening and that does work but it's messy. Might give this a shot.
His last video on generation 1 of this item had almost 2 million views! Over 30,000 Thumbs up.
Sharpening Video! Besides that becoming a huge fan, keep up the good work.
Very nice sharpener

Gift kit black+LU wranglerstar mark 2 . $820.00 . That's some kind of honor to have them name the unit after you
I'd love a set up like this. I use 5 different grit whetstones and just go by feel when I sharpen my knives and go by feel for angles. Something like this would ensure a perfectly consistent angle grind on every blade.
Yes please do a video on sharpening something. Very interested in this product.
I would love to buy your old Mark 1 set up. Trying to find ones of these used is not an easy thing to do.
Love this video. I saw the old one and was wondering if they still made them. Nice to see the new and improved version. It's my favorite Wranglerstar video.
sharpen safety scissors. or a gardening tool. You had a solid idea with the butterknife too.
I think the torx bits are in the set for Pulling a blade off of its handle or for tightening a blade that is loose like a folding knife
Such a great sharpener! Looks very well engineered!
I just noticed your carved Swedish horse in the background. I've got 2 on my table at this very moment!
Im assuming that the torx bits are to disassemble folding knives/thumb studs to allow you to sharpen to the ricasso.
Just ordered one of these a week ago. Can't wait.

They put your review on their website! I gotta get one, thanx for sharing
I believe the torque tools are for screws on some knives. A couple of my knives are assembled with torque screws.

So f...... jealous, what a fine piece of art. I need it!
If someone is so concerned over what angle the edge holds over the length, sharpen it in shorter sections and readjust as you work in new sections.
Wranglerstar
The clamps for the larger knives look like they have a different angle/bevel on it
I ordered mine in December. Its now the end of April. They don't even respond to your inquiries. Over $500 of my money and I dont have a clue when or if I will get it. I love your other videos. People should save their money until production improves.
I love mine!! I have lots of videos on its use!!
I bought WHILE watching your last video! Haha
I don't think the torx are for the sharpener itself but for making adjustments on the knifes you may have
I can’t believe that you have not seen or heard of the electronic angle finder they have been around for a long time and you being a carpenter would of got one lots of carpenters do have them I’ve had one now for 5 years apart from that I enjoyed the video looking forward to seeing you sharpen the butter knife
Those torx might be common sizes used by knife makers, to disassemble knives to clean/lube them.
Definitely want to see the butter knife!
Cody, can you do a cheap knife and expensive knife video on this set up please?
Great channel, Thanks
I couldn't find this sharpening system on the website. I seen the original one but not the newest version. Just was wondering how much and how long the shipping takes? Thanks Wranglerstar! You are a true inspiration to me!

Техностудия "Профиль" can you link to it? I’ve looked all over and can’t find the arrow
Sorry, we can't publish a specific URL. The arrow looks like '>' to the right of the words 'K02 Double Clamp'.
12:20 you said it doesn't fit in the holder, but there's that length adjustment knob so maybe it actually does fit? I'd take a second look at that.
07:50 With this aluminium adapter you can sharp your knives and make convex cutting edge.
Loves your videos thank you for everything you do. Especially the wild land firefighting
I ordered one of these last month. Cant wait for it to get here! awesome video as usual Wranglerstar!
"Cold war chic" instantly won my 👍
They are for lower sharpening angle the 4 knifeholders, there are 2 different angles😊
And the doublesided leather is meant for that machine, they have for freehand working one with a handle😊
That holder is adjustable, remember😅
And you can use tox in the allens works fine, without wasting the nut😊
You are absolutely right. There is 2 types of a clamps. Default clamps have sharpening angles 10-32°. And fillet clamps have angles 6,5° - 32°. It's made for thin and narrow fillet knives.

I would like to see you sharpen scissors like JCP said below :-) If I had the $ I'd get one. Thanks Cody.
please do the improbable sharpness with a butter knife or other tool. Love your videos!
Wranglerstar: For the fanatics that want to keep the angle even from one end of the blade to the other, they have a "lens kit" option that makes this possible. US$68.
