Sienna is out of quarantine but I'm not 😭
was wondering how long it would take to make a joke like this 😂
@@TheTurtleGirl haha lol
Lol
I just saw you on one of leopard geckos videos-
😭
I have a Nelson’s Milksnake that’s about eight years old and three feet long. He eats frozen thawed once a week unless he’s shedding. I put it in one of those Solo cups so the shavings don’t stick to it. 40 gallon breeder tank ,clamp top, aspen bedding ,heat pad at one end ,dog bowl water dish ,three hides. I put paper towel rolls in sometimes for an extra hide and I use my old uvb bulbs since they don’t need it like turtles do.Very docile and even my mother said he was beautiful. I love your videos.
Wow, such a perfect enclosure! If only my parents would tolerate snakes lol:(. They can't stand rats, I actually don't mind. Good Job!
haha it took me soooo long to convince them
Why don’t u get a mini fridge
Try to show your parents some videos of snakes so they will understand them more maybe they will let you keep these magnificent animals.
Good Luck mate.
I’m getting one 😁😁😁😁

Hello! I was just wondering where you got that tank/enclosure? it looks pretty big and since i'm thinking about buying a baby milk snake I've been looking for a tank to temporarily house him/her. thank you!
I have the same tank for my lucy rat snake! I got mine off amazon, it’ll be good until my girl gets bigger
How did that cage workout for your milks snake? I am thinking about getting one?
I know this video is old but I just saw it so I figured I'd comment. I have had a milk snake for the last 12 years. He is my old man and I love him. I use aspen bedding as well and I have found that my boy LOVES about 3-4 inches of it in his tank. He makes all sorts of tunnels and stuff under there.
Hi! If you see this please respond! I'm just seeing this video and came across your message. I just got one today and am going out to get its enclosure now. It is a baby or I believe it to be lol. Any helpful tips. What all do I need to get for my new baby?
Klaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Im really worried for my turtle even though i know they can go without food for long, ive been feeding my Pancake Tortise just plain leaves from the store once a day because they seem to not eat all of their food, but recently i have been giving them the same food but i realized that it looks different than usual, looks like it is getting old, so i havent been feeding them for the past 2 days. Is this bad that i havent fed them for 2 days? Please respond ive had him for 2 years so im fairly new.
I’m no turtle girl but I’ve had turtles for 3 years and if the turtle isn’t a baby then feed then every other day, if it’s a baby, then every day. I would of course do more eraser have because it could depend on the type of turtle and what your feeding them. Try and not starve tour turtle of course, but they are quite remarkable creatures when it comes to surviving without food. Again, please do more research for their diet and stuff like calcium supplements that they need. Wish you the best of luck!
Thanks for the help, their starting to eat alot more
Sarah Dunn are they okay now?
Oh yeah they are starting to eat a lot more
Yay! New enclosure! I love it, but doesn’t it need a heat mat?
There is a heat mat, it's on the left side, what the cord behind the cage is
And a thermostat, setting, probe?
that’s really small and where’s her heat sources :(
The ENCLOSURE is perfect ! Love your videos !
Thank you for your videos , you’ve inspired me to decorate my turtle tank like yours. And also prepared me on how to own a turtle. My turtle is about 3 weeks old with me :). He’s a 2 inch red eared hatchling.
That is awesome! Have fun :)
I just got my class snake while they clean the schools for Covid19! Her name is coral and she’s a corn snake!
aw, that's cool! what a fun opportunity :)
The Turtle Girl, thanks for responding! That means a lot to her and I ;)
the amount if creativity of cutting a finished bottle thing of cream cheese as a hiding spot, bootiful.
Where did you get the snake enclosure? :)
Thanks for all the amazing videos ŪWŪ I'll be getting a baby painting turtle soon thanks to you :)
congrats!
May I ask where I can get that pleco on the side of the turtle tank? That's a def must have for the plush collection lolol
With taking care of reptiles, I agree with this video. Great job on setting up the enclosure!
Hi! I love your videos and maybe check out the Bio Dude because , I have a milk snake and he loves his bioactive tank , and I am a kid so this is just out of my experience:)
you should put more bedding because snakes like to burrow i love ur vids too
*My turtle have a fungus I think on both of his legs at the back what should I do I put him on a container and I apply a iodine on the infected area help pls :(*
the enclouser does look good but milk snakes are burrowers and they need a bit more aspin than that so they can feel safe (just my experience tho, and all snakes are different)
I’d say she’d be great in a 10 to 15 or 20 gallon
I have a ribbon snake and now I am getting a baby Mexican milksnake
Where did you get your enclosure and what is it called?
Good luck finding her for feedings.
I keep ball pyton more then 3 years, I have never been any biteing issue with her. I keep her in a mixer of coco fiber, orcid chips, and cheap planting substate (without any fertaliser) I just mixed them up with some leafliter, and plant some plants. She like them so much hide under (she is so big now, so she just think than she hide, but is so cute). I defenetly recommend to plant some nice plants in her enclouse.
cool!
Check out snake discovery shes awesome
what’s the enclosure / tank called xx
You should use a 30 gallon and an actual home not plastic
Will that enclosure be big enough for her when she’s fully grown?
nah, definitely not. That would be wayyyy too small for a 3-4 foot snake :P I'll be upgrading her to at least a 20 long when she gets larger, and go from there. But she's been growing pretty slowly and steadily...has only gained several grams since I got her, so not sure how long it takes for them to grow to full size.
@@TheTurtleGirl mine took a few years :) I don’t remember exactly but I think 2-4 years at least. He is 7 now.
Is the cage by ex terra?
when you put siena in its new home, it almost look like siena's been eaten by the crocodile 🐊🐍
lol yep!
to manny tings in his enclosure ,shy berly heav space to muve and the inclosure is smole
Great spelling lol, but enrichment is the key with most snakes because they love to explore.
Handle her a lot all other wise she will get Angry and make sure that your hands are warm before you hold her
thanks for the advice!
I’m still in lockdown lol
I really like all your videos they are so fun and cool to watch
Wooden Vivarium
Do I have to quarantine a older snake or is it just for baby snakes?
Yes, you should quarantine any new reptile.
Aspen bedding made two of my ball pythons choke
Baked beans yeah, it’s a sensitive topic in the community, similar thing with bearded dragons and sand, some people think it’s amazing, others hate it.
amazing! Thank you for sharing this experiece with us
That enclosure looks amazing!
thanks Noel!
Emily and Ed on Snake Discovery can help you know everything you need to know about snakes, go check out their youtube channel(Snake Discovery) lots of useful information.
Turtle Girl, for using pet store products, you did it right. You have a humid hide (important for a snake like that), the cage is attractive but functional, simple and easy to service. IMO much better than so many do in videos using bone dry glass tanks with lights and useless decorations that the snake cannot hide in or under. I am impressed with your turtle care (which I know little about), but you also know how to care for a milk snake.
Please tell, What kind of filter do you use for your turtle tank and how frequently do you change the water.
Because I'm having 2 red ear slider turtle 2 inch long and they get I'll frequently.
I love your videos! I actually have 4 yellow belly sliders and a Sulcata Tortoise. Turtles need such large enclosures! I know absolutely nothing about snakes but I’m assuming they don’t need a lot of space? Since people have like snake tub racks and stuff? It’s so cool how some animals enjoy tons of space and some don’t!
Was about to say wouldn't it be easy to take the top off lol. Cool video
at least it prevents her from escaping ;) thanks!
I love ALL herping sites, joined up with you today, hope to see a lot more of you in the future..........great videos, NOW i have to go into your library of past videos, and catch up with all the videos you have made in the past...........i will be binge watching for the rest of the day..............lol.........love your site......
Same for me! Lemon is my first snake and I have a few tips for you on milk snakes, my milksnake lemon loves to hide and so you wanna make sure the set up is crowded with hides and decor. Also the more you handle your milksnake the more she will calm down! Again amazing set up sienna will love it, also make sure not to hold your snake for about a week after moving it into a new tank/redecorating the tank otherwise it might stress her out quite a bit.
Hey I'm just asking but I don't have enough money to buy an aquarium, lights, food etc. I leave my turtle outside and I kinda want to bring it inside. Can you reply and please help me set up a home for my turtle without an aquarium?
I’m not trying to be rude, but you really shouldn’t have bought a turtle if you can’t afford anything for it. I would suggest giving it to a relative or the humane society is they can find it a good home🙂
Great Video! I have a couple of questions about turtle lighting and heating. First of all, do I want the uvB bulb on all of the time? And secondly what would be a good heat bulb I could get? Thanks!
Beautiful snake ty for sharing. Glad to sub to your channel.
How much does the electricity run in housing one leopard gecko I have research where the heat mat has to stay on 24/24 any help with my question will be much appreciated thank you
Umm where her hear mat???!!!!
Heat mats are not a good heat source, overhead heating is much better for them. A halogen flood bulb connected to a dimmer/dimming thermostat is the most natural and beneficial option, Arcadia’s deep heat projector is the second best option. They produce infrared A and B like the sun, heat that penetrates deep into the skin tissue and heats them far more effectively. Whereas heat mats only produce IRC, which only heats the surface of their skin.
wonderful video. thank you for sharing. peace, love and blessings!
My Nelson didn’t really like aspen, which for some snakes it’s totally fine. But for my girl I use jungle mulch which she enjoys more. Don’t know if everyone has that problem of not. Just kinda a just so you know!!! ❤️ adorable little noodle.
Nothing wrong with using mulch. Kind of depends on the ambient humidity in your house. Aspen is too dry for a milksnake like a Nelsons if your house humidity is really low. Where these things come from, the burrows and soil they live in is a moderate humidity (higher during the wet season.) I have been down there, found a road killed nelsons. That snake did not look like the hobby nelsons, which I believe are descended from stock more east of where I was. Plus, selective breeding favors more red. The soil, rocks, vegetation looks nothing like any setup you see on youtube, but that does not matter much as long as the right conditions are provided.
Yay I'm first to view and to comment!!!!
🙌🏽early squad!
@@TheTurtleGirl yay !
Hey turtle girl can you please do a how to bathe turtle video next
Getting my wife a new Honduran milk snake. This video provided some really wonderful ideas as far as setting up the habitat. Thanks for the help!
I'm glad to hear that!
Dope
✌🏽
can u plz do more axolotl videos
Definitely need a little more open space
more snake videos please
Lol my sister is named sienna
Would you say a 80 gallon tank for a male diamondback terrapin is a bit extra
I think that if you provide a big tank that has plenty of decorations and places where the turtle can hide/block his line of sight, that's not extra, that's healthy for the turtle! And also easier on maintenance for you...depending on how you set it up ;)
The Turtle Girl thanks It’s been my dream pet for years and finally it’s coming true and your channel has been a lot of help for my research on them and convincing my parents because of you soon I’m going to be able to say I have a healthy happy turtle.
Aaaaaaaaaa i love your videos :D
awwww thanks!
This helped so much!
glad to hear it!
Love your work girl‼️🤗
thank you!
Well I guess you just decided to skip over my question how rude with that said I will do you an favor and skin right over and unsubscribe before I leave I just want to say that I never hear viewed you on pointing out good cleanliness like wasting your hands after handling your animals we are in devastating times the least thing that you can do is to make your views aware on the corona virus and how important it is to keep cleanliness to the extreme or do you really know what that is
jewel south chill 😂 she’s not obligated to answer anyone’s questions nor is she obligated to talk about the pandemic. No need to bring negativity over here. I’m 100% sure everyone is aware of the pandemic so why keep talking about it. Go watch the news if you want to hear about that. We don’t want to constantly stay worrying about the virus , some of us just want to simply enjoy a video and live life. Everyone is aware of washing their hands.
can you please be nicer to her she deserves it
Do more milkshake videos plz
