The Big 3 is not a KPOP idol group but the 3 Biggest companies in KPOP before BigHit became bigger than them. They were YG, SM, and JYP.
Glad you guys enjoyed this....They really did face a bit of hardship because BigHit was so small and had very little money (they couldn't afford promotion/to buy spots on shows/to buy expensive costumes/etc). JYP, SM, and YG were the Big Three. But BigHit's founder/CEO, Hitman Bang, held fast to his philosophy on music (he had been in the industry for quite a while and was even a trainee himself), and we really do owe him a debt of gratitude for the way he handled these 7 guys and for breaking the mold for how the Kpop industry works.

Bts belonged to third generation. So the k-pop before the third generation under big3 was different. Aespa blackpink etc debuted after BTS and they didn't even win daesang. This comment might be misleading.

Jungkook is the member that is most consistent when singing even during the intense dancing and have practised singing while running on a treadmill.
Jungkook was already a singer before he joined Bighit actually... He didn't expect to become the main vocalist maybe because either he's too humble or the fact that he's the youngest of the team. Being the main vocal and center are such big responsibilities to carry.
Jungkook did not have any vocal exp. before joining BH. Why Army keeps saying that? He was simply talented and tried in competition. He was noticed there.

@@hannayang83 he was already...maybe not professionally since he was just starting,but he already sings. In fact, he joined a singing competition and that's where Bighit and other companies took notice of him.
He wanted to become a singer, so he auditioned, but he isn't singer. He hadn't learned both singing or dancing until he got into Big Hit. He started just like the other members.
The Big 3 was the 3 main music labels SM , JYP and YG Entertainment
Big 3 are SM, JYP and YG. Their idols almost always popular even before debut because of management and fans power. The daesang or grand prize (highest award), before BTS, always go to groups from Big 3. Almost impossible for group other than Big 3 to get daesang.
SM - NCT, Exo, Shinee, Super Junior, Aespa, Red Velvet, Girls Generation, etc.
JYP - Twice, Stray Kid, Got7, Itzy, Wonder Girls, etc.
YG - Blackpink, Bigbang, Winner, Ikon, Treasure, 2NE1

And now HYBE (the renamed company of Big Hit) has bought Ithaca Holdings and basically buying a lot of western artists and getting into things other than music and entertainment. They have expanded the family with new Korean artist as well as American too. They got Justin Bieber and Demi like idk what’s a bigger flex then a small Asian company buying western entertainment

Taehyung came to the audition to support his friend, he didn't came for himself. Just came for his friend.
But the company one of manager asked him to do audition specially because of his stunning look and charming personality.
Than he done audition ( he sing, dance , rap, played saxophone etc.) and guess what he's the only one who selected from DAEGU City , who didn't came for the purpose of audition , still he's the only one who got selected..
The big 3 refers to companies rather than groups. YG, SM and JYP Entertainment. They each have many groups but dominated the industry in part due to funds and the ability to promote their groups, get airtime, shows, etc.
Big Hit Entertainment which BTS came from was tiny when they joined, but from BTS's growth alone has overcome the big 3 to the point that they have aquired not only many K-pop labels but more recently the American label that has Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber!! HYBE is the new overarching company name.

Hi guys so the “big 3” is the 3 big label companies in the industry at that time.
You guys mind reacting to each of the members? Like an intro to the members? Two things that weren’t included in that video you watched. #1 Namjoon (RM) mother forced him to learn English by watching friends and #2 Kookie (Jungkook) entered a singing competition, he didn’t win but he was scouted by a lot of companies but because he knew rap monster (RM) was at BigHit he decided to join the company.
There’s so much to learn about Bangtanies other than their music 🤗 enjoy the ride
They are literally the definition of A Rainbow.. you can see they completly different in the whole things but they still can be themselves and looks beautifull seeing them together
Lmao I feel the same. "I'm getting so mad because I feel like I could have become a part of that." The fact that a few people who had no background in singing could grow to become such great singers proves that generally anyone can learn to sing if they really dedicate themselves to it.. I love that it wasn't merely like a "born with this talent" or "born with a singing voice" situation that is usually the case with a lot of famous artists.

"The Big 3" doesn't refer to the top 3 idol groups, but the top 3 biggest record label companies in South Korea. In South Korea, there are 3 big record labels: SM entertainment, YG entertainment, and JYP entertainment (know as "The Big 3"). It is a known fact that any band/idol group who debut from one of these companies will pretty much be a guaranteed success since these 3 companies had the most revenue, and therefore, hold connections with the media and broadcasting stations.
Back then, when BTS first debuted in 2013, Big Hit Entertainment (despite the name) was actually very very small (so small, that BTS was actually their only active idol group). After three years post-debut and struggle, Big Hit Entertainment was actually on the brink of bankruptcy. It wasn't until 2016 that BTS started gaining popularity (with their "Fire" & "Blood Sweat & Tears" era).
How big is BTS? Not only did BTS single-handedly bring Big Hit out of debt...
By 2019, Big Hit actually toped JYP in terms of revenue.
By 2020, Big Hit Entertainment takes the company public (IPO).
And just recently this year, Big Hit (now known as HYBE) had just acquired Ithaca Holdings (Ariana Grande & Justin Bieber's management company). --All thanks to profit from BTS's huge success over the years. Fun fact, the big3 aren't big3 anymore, they still have importance in the entertainment business, but BTS rise up Big Hit almost bankrupt, and last week Hybe (the conglomerate that the company has become) bought Ithaca Holdings, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato producer, for more than 1B Dollars. They were referring to 3 big entertainment companies in Korea (YG, SM and JYP) popular artists from YG at that time are Bigbang, 2ne1 and Psy. SM have EXO, Super Junior, Girls Generation. JYP has Got7, Wonder Girls, 2AM, 2PM. This is only what i know. I am not familiar with other artists at that time. While Big Hit Entertainment only got BTS, 8eight and a solo artist.

He auditioned for singing first at "Super Stark Singing Competition " to became singer (that was only singing competition) from there he was noticed by 7 kpop companies including bighit , when he contacted by bighit and other 6 kcampanies , from where his passion for dancing grows more. Bcs he knows these are idol companies .and kpop idols dance. He worked very hard and take vocal lessons to improve and polish his vocals . He became MAIN VOCALIST bcs he was very good from the begining campare to other vocalist . But he was very shy in the beginning and talk very less . He wanted to trained more in dancing so bighit ceo also send him to usa for 1 Month for dance training Bcs he was already good in singing. But he was very shy at that time .
He trained for 2 years for improving his vocals and dancing in bighit.
He was very young at that time .13 years
And when V came after jungkook , V was very confident , V helps him to open up more bcs v was the second youngest close to jungkook age.
Big Bang and Blackpink are from YG, one of the 3 companies (YG, SM, JYP). Exo, Shinee, Super M are from SM. If the trainees come from big 3 and debut, of course these companies promote them even before they debut and influence medias and power over different places so it's easy to become known in short time. It's almost guaranteed to be successful. Where as BigHit was almost bankrupt company with no power or influence over any related places so BTS couldn't appear on Korean medias or exposed to the public just like American radio stations are not going to play BTS songs no matter how much US Armys want to hear them on the radio. Army power is not enough in foreign countries.
