I run two 6506 MH's at all times. Mix and match channels. A mix of the Crunch and the Lead channel together is my main tones but I also run both leads or crunches together or cleans mixed together. Unlimited options. One amp is semi dry and the other wet. Both run into the same cab. Channel changing and effects courtesy of a Line 6 HX unit. I have been thinking of getting the Classic 20 MH and trying it with the same set up with the 6505 MH.
2 Guys 1 Amp the L6 HX is great. I was a pedals only guy before getting it. When I first got it, was confused by it and thought it sucked. Lol. After figuring it out and learning the effects and their parameters. I sold all my pedals. Well got two left but they are listed. Lol. Hint: I don't run the HX through the loop of the amp but everything in the front old school style. Didn't like the 4 cable method. Running it in front ia awesome. After watching this video of yours, I ordered a Classic 20 and it should be here next week. By the way, I changed the preamp tubes of my 6505 and it tamed the gain channel. Very much smoother. I think the Classic 20 with the 6505 together will be some great tones. Thanks
Just got a Classic 20 about a week or so ago.....gotta say, I'm pretty happy with it. Replacing a Carvin Vintage 16 head....that never really impressed me, and broke after pretty light use (and no local techs want to touch it....great....and it's not the tubes.....probably bad solder connections or something, but I'm not a tech)...so....I can't say a lot for the Carvin head.....however the 2x12 Carvin cab I got with it works well with the Peavey.....so, if the Peavey stays reliable.....it's a winner! Sound-wise It's everything I HOPED the Carvin would have been but never was.
@@jensk4140 Hey! Your mileage could vary....but, mine still works quite well. I don't gig with it.....it's just a "bedroom" amp...but I've not had one problem with it. And, if I had it to do over, I would still buy it. Hope that helps!
Guitarz 5150 It is a great amp. The high gain channel is a beast. I changed the preamp tube for it and it really made it even more awesome. I like it over the EVH.
Yep! That’s why I went with the Peavey. More options and you can still nail that tone with it. For all intents and purpose, it is the original 5150. Love it!
2:17 i love this blues tone, 2:51 wow nice tone for metal or hardrock impressed! good for recording or for play in a small room with a band, versatil amp
I think they actually discontinued the Valveking 20. It's quite a shame because that amp was killer. I have the 6505MH and am astonished at how amazing the thing is.
Fuckin' right. It's looks so Classy. It's got a 60's Swade look but has the Balls to spit out Metal! And just for good measure, it has an Effects Loop.
I disagree. It can't do modern metal, or thrash, death, etc... But I can doom decently and boosted can probably do classic metal ala randy rhoads, scorpions, priest. Played one boosted. It was cool
Je pense, en mon humble opinion, que la 6505 sonnerait mieux sans les médiums à zéro. Je comprends pas que vous vous soyez servis de ce réglage pour une démo.
I have the 6405mh and absolutely love it. You can really nail those classic rock tones on the crunch channel, then get those tasty Van Halen and modern metal tones with the lead channel. Kills all the birds with 1 stone. Lol
Thank you for showing the 6505's clean side. Most demos are only the super high gain show. Both sound great. Classic is probably better.
leftyfusion88 at 6:31 shows some cleans. Can’t believe it produce some great tones.

It looks like you have a nice rig! Line6 hx is on our radar.

Great! Tell us what you think when you get it!
Bill Alexander hi can u boost the amp with the helix’s digital tubescreamer?
Man.. how if compare Helix (6505) vs this 6505 mini head? Which better sounding for metal?🙏
Nice vidéo demo i going to Buy a Peavey classic 20 mh !

Hi There! Is the classic reliable?

I really love the Classic 20 sound. I wish they had included Les Paul clean tones. Anybody know what kind of speakers are in the cab?
I thought this was 2 guys 1 Amp, Not 2 amps. This is just 2 hardcore for me!!
The PV 6505MH is a incredible deal at $500! The EVH LBX cost's $700 and does not even have all the features of the 6505mh.

I saw some used going for like 350 for the 6505mh
Very good compa..what cabinet in use?

Great vid! i used the miniheads for giging and for recording, really like the build-in audio interface! I have both!
Did I just hear someone play SCHOOL?😁
I heard that too!
Definitely Nirvana song.. 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Great video as always !!! Can you do some videos about the guitars that you are using?
Cool idea! Well do something!
1:52 great early Frusciante clean tone!
Greetings from La Paz, Bolivia!!! 🤘🎸🔊 🇧🇴
Please can you make a top five of the best SOLID STATE amplifiers?
Thank you
Does it do Van Halen is all I want to know?
Was this recorded with a mic and a cab or with the Direct out feature on the head OR did you use the UA Load box in the back?
Yes ! This time we tried with the OX by UA.
good demo guys. are there any plans for the valve king vs classic?
We couldn’t have the valveking for the test!
I think they actually discontinued the Valveking 20. It's quite a shame because that amp was killer. I have the 6505MH and am astonished at how amazing the thing is.
Until this day, I still don’t like this channel name, but I love their content ❤
Clean demos were nice the dirty made me long for Enter Sandman and Stairway to Heaven customers at Guitar Center.
You should alternate shorter music pieces played on the same guitar and similar settings...
god damn the Classic can be made a super Southern/Doom rock machine

Show settings?
Song at 4:33 please?
Pantera on an sg its just pure joy to me
Bon travail les gars!!!
The classic sounds awesome. The metal tone is absolute garbage but if you want metal you wouldn’t buy it. The crunch and clean was very nice.

I run my Axe-FX III through it and it absolutely does metal lol
BACCHUS is a killer :)

Ah bon? On a fait ça!!?
4:10, 5:19, c'est bien l'impression que j'ai en regardant les réglages de l'ampli, à moins que je ne me trompe :)
Keep it up guys!
Lovely accent ! ;-) love the French!
2 Guys, 2 amps :)

If ze not speak ze English , do ze it in French ... Franchement, les gars ... 😏
On a une chaîne en français aussi !
super frenchy accent lol ...
Le grande STEENKEE! ;oP
Made in china right?
According to the back plate the Classics are made in the USA. 6505's I am not sure.
So ya'll French then?
Without the same playing, without the meaning of contrast, disappointed
Pivi
Les gars, mieux vaut parler Français :-)
Pourquoi pas en FRANÇAIS!! zère will be less mauvaise prononciation et sûrement autant de gens vous suivraient.
Skinny jeans obviously give you low T. Must be cutting off circulation.
