I'm an offline and casual player and I stopped playing in April. First 2K game i lost complete interest in this early. I usually stop playing around late July- early Aug

IF YOU ARE NOT A MYTEAM PLAYER, THEN THIS PROBABLY ISN´T WORTH YOUR TIME READING:
I cant stand that 2K encourage playing off-ball defense so much, it makes the game unplayable for me. I´m not that good, but seeing sooooooo many players off-balling off the rip is a turn off. I will have to see after the release of the game if they actually tried to make the game better. Being a myteam player and the way the company have been acting like vampires and trying to force people to buy vc in order to get anything useful this year is disgusting. Every good player being behind lock ins. Lock ins costed around 50 bucks per set most of the year (it just doubled this week), and then you just paid your entry for A CHANCE to get a good player. Then you could look at the players behind the paywall and the player you wanted least was the player 99% of the people would end up with. You must have hardcore stockholm syndrome to keep spending that much money on a game that you already payed for. I dont see that change so i probably will stop playing this game. Just sad that we dont have an option to play another new basketball game.
One last thing, i have one suggestion to the devs that could keep me onboard, and i maybe could get through the life cycle knowing that i have to earn every card. That is to implement the option to choose if you are an on-ball defender or an off-baller before loading into an online game. So we can have a better experience everybody. But again these digital demon kids could potentially abuse that and choose on-balling just to off-ball instead. I really feel alienated by a franchise i used to love (i have been playing on and off since the first game came out on the sega dreamcast). 2K will probably not change anything that would appeal to players like myself since it´s "MONEY OVER EVERYTHING" and people seem to be getting lazier by the second. I guess i will keep an eye out for the reviews but keep my expectations low, like real freaking loooooooow.

I haven’t ran into many cheesy lineups. A lot of people are using these free cards we’re getting and some people got lucky or spent more money than others. But these free cards aren’t all the greatest but they’ve been pretty usable.

Fr I get it that 2k has been bad this year but like not everything they do is bad lol, and they even gave us free 100 ovrs and goat cards which we’ve been asking for and he still finds a way to complain
I agree. I understand why Dbg is mad but they did finally give us free content. Obviously all the ridiculous cards are going to be locked behind packs but still. He says Dame invincible sucks and I pulled it from the ascension board and he's actually pretty seriously solid once you get the hang of his release.
They did give us the screws for 7 whole entire seasons though so I completely understand his unwillingness to give an inch. It's been disgustingly bad and we are almost 300 days into the game. I've already gotten Kareem and I'll say the 100 overall wheel spin and option pack was definitely trash because it's the same 3 players but other than that I'm actually pretty happy with this stuff so far. They are better than cut and paste goat cards but of course they aren't as good as the Jordan one I spent my money to get
I agree the Rose card isn’t trash at all sure his jumper could be a bit better. My issue with it is not really the cards fault but the simple fact that most people run a card that’s at least 6’7-6’8 (sometimes 6’11+) at the point guard so it makes it a bit difficult to use these smaller cards at the point. I just played a game were my opponent was running Wembenyama at the point plus the rest of his lineup where all 6’11 plus, he wasn’t good at the game and I nearly won but all he was doing was backing down my smaller players leading to a easy bucket or a free throws 😢
