been playing hardcore since 2k19. 1000+ hours on every game, playing nothing but 2k. 2k24 has genuinely been the worst gaming experience of my life and i can’t stress that enough. it was pretty good to begin with then it became nothing but pure greed and gluttony. still being a student, i really can’t afford to spend all my money for a CHANCE to be able to compete. the game i once loved was now locked entirely behind gambling and it was only downhill from there. i quit back in february when the new tos came out and ive been watching the fire from the outside ever since. my advice to anyone playing this game anymore is to quit if you’re not making money from playing it. you will gain so much more from simply deleting the game, and honestly you will be in a better state of mind. happy to say i’ll be saving hundreds of dollars when 2k25 comes out.
I hear you my guy, I’ve been a hardcore 2K Gamer ever since NBA 2K9. It really reached its peak levels from 2K20 - 2K22 then 2K23 was a big hitch but still had some level of enjoyment but 2k24 just lost me. Pure gambling to even compete and so much gameplay changes that it feels unplayable for me esp with MyTeam.
When EA FC 24 became free on ps plus, I decided to try and as a game that is passionately hated by its community, I have enjoyed a whole lot more than 2k. Their FUT provides so much opportunities as a budget player to get good cards and be able to compete. Unless drastic changes happens, I won’t buy 2k25 till it comes out on sale.
It sucks because the gameplay has been one of my favorites in a while.
The company is straight up corrupt and it’s only getting worse
I play for about 3 hours a week, I play lots of different games and just hop on to pick up free players. It is still fun for me, but I have never been competitive. Obviously quality has gone down, but I only play one day a week, I spend the other days playing better games. You gotta keep it balanced or even a good game will burn you out.
We love you man. Thanks for sticking around through all of the shit 2K has done. Hopefully 2K25s first blog has an auction house listed in the first paragraph, hopefully they just think that 2K24 has such a bad rep that gambling or non-gambling won’t make a change. But who knows.

Honestly, I don’t think the auction house is coming back, because of this reason: 2K started the gambling with 100 ovr Kareem and allstar packs in feb. if they would’ve realized that was a bad idea and just stop doing it, but they haven’t, 2k doesn’t care abt our enjoyment, opinions, etc. they only care abt making money and only making money. What makes you think they’re gonna give us back the auction house next year? Because they realized they screwed up? They won’t ever change, and they honestly might get worse in 25. I’ve just given up on 2k.
@@B1G_30 that’s the issue, everyone gave up on Myteam, Career is shit rn from what I’ve heard too. They gotta change something, I think they just gave up on this game but I have a feeling 25 will be atleast somewhat better.
even though 2k is at its worst right now, we should all try to remember the good moments rather than choosing to be miserable, that 2k20-22 MyTeam era was special, especially when the world was in the state of quarantine

When Tydebo trash talked dbg on an undercover twitch account by the name of westbrick2388 and proceeded to dominate dbg in a game of unlimited, and would later reveal he was Tydebo in the last minutes.
If the gambling still continues in 2K25 its all gonna be a ghost town

I think a lot of us feel the same way. Unless something DRASTIC happens, like bringing back some form of player controlled market, or a change in leadership for the game mode, I will not be buying 2K25. To see the absolute unraveling of MyTeam from 2K22 to where we are now is wild. But hey, that's what happens when a games company has a CEO whose bonus is based on microtransaction sales.

I remember from 2020-2022 dbg would be the first video i would watch everytime i watched youtube and hes is a good reason why i fell in love with myteam but he was also the reason why i was able to stop playing myteam cuz 2k are just greedy pieces of shit but most the time i would be eating lunch or smth during breaks I would watch some card or set showcase videos and after seeing the downfall of myteam and dbg its kinda sad to see and after watching this video its probably the most personally emotionally real video ive seen on youtube but im glad youve found a new channel and hopefully you can continue earing a living from youtube but i will for sure miss that era of myteam or 2k as a whole

Dbg u got me into myteam in 2k19 and have been my favorite RUclipsr ever since. Been grinding myteam every year and always enjoy sweating. This game has been the worst video game in the history of sports video games. It is unplayable and haven’t played since the second day of launch. I still watch ur content but surprised u a quitting now. Micktalkhoops is growing like crazy good shit, hope u get a big following

I’ve been playing 2k since the original with Iverson on the cover. I’ve been grinding all year, but this past week I had to delete the game. I can’t support the promotion of gambling and the blatant disrespect of the community. Thanks DBG for the content over the years!

I played the first week when it came out and never again. I loved my team and being an nba fan it was one of my favorite games. The first year I really got into my team was 2k19 and it the next few helped me get through quarantine. Since then it just went downhill and this 2k just made me quit. The no auction house ruined the game and 2ks greed. I probably won’t buy a 2k again unless it’s on sale and the auction house is back.
One smart move to do is cover GTA 6 when it comes out.
That's what I wish Ty did. Keep doing the occasional video too keep his subscribers in the loop and and up too date while phasing out. Just too stop like that was hard especially being one of those people that would watch every single video. It would be nice to see a video feom time too time. I tried to explain this on his channel but didn't get a reply.
