Handel - The Harmonious Blacksmith - Baroque Orchestra Arrangement

Handel's Air and Variations from the keyboard Suite in E Major HWV 430, arranged in this video for baroque orchestra. A keyboard classic that has such a happy, major key feel to it, a pleasure to work on this week.

What an interesting title!

Apparently Handel did not give this title to the piece, and in fact it was added later by a music seller in the 19th century, who was also both a blacksmith and a keyboard player. He sold the third movement separately using that title, which references both the regular beat of the blacksmith hammering out his metal, and also just the joy of such physical work.
