Wartime romance about a lonely man and woman who meet one rainy afternoon in New York. Starring: Jeffery Lynn, Joy Geffen, Katherine Squire, Eleanor Wilson
Goodness this is touching. As a single woman of "a certain age," who cared for her dying mother, I can totally relate. I had to stop early because I could see where the story was headed. Seeing her mother come alive from the fresh optimism of the young man put a sparkle in my eye. EVERY mother wants to see their daughter loved and cared for.
I was wrong. This play was produced before the movie with Jane Wyman and Van Johnson. I like this version more. I think the acting in this play is much better.
16:32- "Now that you've seen part one of 'Miracle in the Rain', let's turn to our Westinghouse program, and Betty Furness.......... 'And remember- 'You can be SURE if it's Westinghouse'."
Very touching. What a great gift he was for these ladies. Never to be forgotten. This play is much better than the movie that followed with Van Johnson and Jane Wyman. Jeffery Lynn was a real personality, a good Character for this part, I haven't seen him anything else? He should have been cast in more roles and recieved more acclaim.

Thank you for sharing this vintage jewel of early television.

A MIRACLE of a STORY.👼
It should be called " a kick in the ❤️ heart in the rain".
Later adapted by Hecht into a 1956 feature film starring Van Johnson and Jane Wyman.
It is so nice to hear a real bass playing in the restaurant orchestras, rather than an electric bass.
Thank you
Lovely.
What a gem. This actress was amazing. She really brought Ruth to life. You just ached for her. And I loved the soldier 💕
That washing machine was ahead of its time! Love the film and have it on DVD Can Johnson and Jane Wyman...great story ❤
