How To: Cut a Stencil EASILY

- There are a lot of tutorials out there showing people how to stencil, and if we're honest we'll admit that this is not the best. But it's definately one of the more clear, well filmed and easily understandable ones. Have fun cutting stencils, everyone!!
(PS This video is great for teachers, and also shows how to create an interesting paint effect not usually associated with stencils. x)

the hardest part of stencil making is the compisition, and pain comes from cutting aspecially with intricate and multi layer stencils

Nice work. I make knives and I am going to use this method for my etching stencil to put my logo on. It looks way simpler than using nail polish or tape as a stencil. Tape adhesive discolors the metal.

This was really simplified and gave me a new idea that I hadn't considered....THOUGH, I would recommend off-loading some of the paint, so it doesn't seep under the stencil. .... Thank you, Juliane'

Anybodies recommendation on what type of material to use to make a stencil out of? I will be using it primarily for spray painting. I use poster board now and its only usually good for 2 or 3 paintings before it has soaked up too much paint and starts warping on the edges.

Can I use the cut out on a t-shirt and spray paint it on?
I have a Zing that will do all the cutting for me. Got it cheap as it was a referb too. :D
Also you can use a stencil burner or just hop down to the local vinyl shop and have them cut it out for you. :)

I have an Atlanta Falcon mascott that I just got online and I printed it out, but I am just still confused as to how to make the stencil. The lines are not touching on this picture and I do not want to mess up the plastic that I am using for the stencil. Can you help me? I love this video!
