My school did Suessical and I was part of stage crew. My best friend got the part of Jo Jo even though she is a girl and killed it! Everyone was talking about “The one who played Jo Jo” And this was big for her since it was her first time doing a play and she’s very shy so to her having people talk about you in a good way is ice!

He did. He appears to come across as smug, kinda entitled. Like he believes he's better than anyone else. But that's very typical of young actors, including me at that age. I'm not saying he's like that in real life, but his limited life experience could be responsible for that. So while he did put a lot of feeling, it's the wrong feeling.
I know this is weird but I wanna tell this story. I did seussical jr and got a who and I was so excited because this was my first part My sister decided to help with our lights and I was very happy. We had a necklace that you’d get if you were the best best person in that practice and at this point basically everyone had gotten it at some point so I was very excited again, so at the end of the the rehearsal she got the necklaces and gave one to her daughter who was play Gertrude, figures, she’s gotten it 5 times already. Then she got the other one and gave it.... To my sister. Who most of the time was texting. On her phone. And I was working my ass off. (I never got the necklace once) Anyway I think before we get into this next statement I tried out for Jojo originally. And my sister said that if she tried out for anything it would be for Gertrude.. until I didn’t get jojo So the next year her high school did suessical as well, I was so happy that she was going to try out for Gertrude but no, she tried out for jojo because she said that she wanted to show me how it was done She ended up getting jojo sadly. Sorry for ranting
I interned at my local theatre group for this show and this was one of my favorite songs, either that or sour kangaroo. I had to spray paint two hundred toilet brush clovers!
Both of them sang very well, but neither of them played the characters well at all. They were both so wooden and drab. Needed much more movement, emotion, and passion for the characterisation.
i mean one of them is a literal child 😭 didn’t look like this song involved a lot of movement so they probably didn’t learn any choreography or directions
I'm tried out for JoJo in my school's production of Seussical, I got called back, the final callbacks are tomorrow.... Soooo nervous, I'm trying to memorize this song in one day...... The director, the music teacher, wants us to not act like the character, but to BECOME the character.
I am doing Suessical Jr. and I’m Hortan (even though I’m a girl) act one there has to be acts because there a lot of lines that Hortan has..... but I get to sing this song! ^-^

Love this musical. FYI -- MTI's video licensing allows recording for the cast and crew and participants -- but I'm pretty sure it doesn't permit public sharing on sites like RUclips. I love the set design, lighting and costuming! Nice clean audio -- although clips somewhat when it gets loud. Wide camera which shows the 2-shot is out of synch.
Candlelight Productions I just checked the listening and it says it permits sharing and broadcasting used for advertising of the theater or on any social media site
Im auditioning for hopefully horton or jojo tomorrow for a panto only issue is is that my voice is very strange I can only sing medium pitched notes without straining my vocal chords and my vocal range is terrible wish me luck it 🤣
he really does. theres not enough emotion and he seems kind of uptight but Horton is everything but uptight. and he keeps doing the same motions with his hands and expressions with his face.
