From Now On is probably their last Japanese song that was recorded with Jonghyun to which they released and performed for the first time after his passing. It's very emotional ending as this concert was only about two months since his passing and they contemplated to move forward with the concert or not. Luckily their colleagues, agency, family and Jonghyun's mum told them to carry on as that was what Jonghyun would have wanted. So the Best From Now On Concert was a way for them to remember, celebrate and bid him farewell with the fans. And throughout the concert, despite the struggle of performing as 4 and with many many tears on stage, they made it very loud and clear that no matter what they're gonna do in the future, Jonghyun's place in SHINee will be untouchable and irreplaceable - SHINee will be forever 5.
@@야-p2l he can’t exactly honor himself from the grave can he….🙄 SHINee is five but only the four are here alive going on strong surviving through the pain. Unnecessary remark when you know exactly what I meant.
In thin same concert they performed diamond in the sky with jonghyuns image above them. In the middle of the song minho scream jonghyuns name out loud. It was a very important song for shinee and the fans and a beautiful tribute to him. Thank you for this reaction. The from now on concert was truly an important concert and deserves to be seen by all. Again thank you for loving shinee and paying your respect by watching this performance.
Although this SHINee World 2018: The Best From Now On concert -- which was the first concert SHINee held after Jonghyun's death -- is extremely sad, I also enjoy watching it every time because it makes me feel like this is the one time where all Shawols are able to come together with SHINee and actually collectively support, grieve and celebrate together. This concert was the event that makes me feel the closest to the members and fans from all over the world because we are feeling these emotions together. It's super emotional, but it also shows just how important Shawols are to SHINee, and even though everyone, including the members, pretty much cried throughout the show, it was a great moment of catharsis for all of us because it gave us an opportunity to grieve all together. And as you saw, Jonghyun will always be present in everything they do. That concert was held only about 2 months after he died, but it had been planned for months prior to that, so the concert was sold out. Even through their grief the members didn't want to let the fans down and they decided they would continue the concert as planned. I like to think of it as more of a memorial and celebration than a concert. Yes, the part where you saw Minho looking at Jonghyun's mic stand was particularly emotional because the voice you heard singing during that part of the song was Jonghyun's voice. And at the end, right after Onew's part, that epic high note was also Jonghyun's voice and the very last line was sung by him as well. This was originally a song sung by all 5 of the members. So, as part of the tribute to Jonghyun, they had him perform his part of the song. The haunting part is that this song was recorded long before Jonghyun died, but now after everything that has happened, it has taken on a whole new meaning and importance. And the lyrics couldn't be more beautiful and fitting for the message they are trying to give. This is why we love SHINee so much. Because they had been planning this concert for a long time before Jonghyun's death, everything was prepared with all five of them involved, so they had to go back and rework everything and learn how to do everything they would normally do without him. I am always impressed, because even though they were all super emotional, they were able to still sing so beautifully and were able to put on such a magnificent performance. And on top of all that, this concert was held in Japan, so this song -- as well as most of the songs in the concert --was in Japanese, so they weren't even singing in their native language. (The members of SHINee are fluent in Japanese, but even then I think it would make it even more challenging.) They deserve all the respect and admiration that they get. The members all vowed that SHINee will always be 5 and that Jonghyun will always be involved in everything they do. And during the concert when they performed the choreo for some of their most iconic songs they intentionally left Jonghyun's spot open and only filled in for him when something just wouldn't work without someone in that position. I think we are always going to have reminders of him in all that SHINee does from now on, and that is the way it should be. He was loved and will never be forgotten, and when possible, should always be involved in things that have to do with SHINee. When you eventually get around to watching this whole concert, you will see that they even had Jonghyun with them on the screen singing his parts of some of their songs -- so not only did we get to hear him, but we saw him as well. Another one of SHINee's songs that has now turned into a tribute song for Jonghyun, that they also performed at this concert, is "Diamond Sky." If you haven't seen that performance yet, you should check it out. It's another emotional one, but it's worth it. We have been through a lot in the last 3+ years. But I think SHINee and Shawols have only become stronger and more tightly bonded through it all. It's Jonghyun's legacy that keeps us strong and has taught us all to be resilient. You did well Jonghyun, our angel and diamond in the sky. You did well and will never be forgotten. OT5 forever and ever.
Thank you for this reaction. This video is really, really sad, but what saddened me the most was when Minho looked at JongHyun's microphone. Maybe you already know it or maybe you don't. All the members were very close, but Minho and JongHyun had a very strong bond. The two kept doing bullshit together, like the time they fought over who was going to be in front in the car, had fun while they were nominated, doing a rock, papers, scissors during the meal or threw bottled water and cakes on each other during concerts. They were truly the Tom and Jerry of the group, always having fun and teasing each other all day. So really .. Seeing Minho looking at the mic like that made me want to cry, but really. SHINee is a very strong group and there will always be five.
I still remember this concert it was the first I attended without Jonghyun it was hard but the 4 of them proved us again just how strong they are ! It’s definitely heartbreaking and yet beautiful and powerful
SHINee is back with a new mini-album. Their new mv #SUPERSTAR teaser is out already and the MV will release today, 28th June in some hours (if you didn't know yet)
