Great channel. I want to thank you for a great song that you wrote. The song is The Rain. I first heard it at a MTB concert in Las Vegas. That song was a definite highlight of that show.
My friend Frankie Toler was the drummer for Gregg Allman band ( im no angel & just before the bullets fly ) & one Allman Brothers album ( brothers of the road) was recruited by Doug Gray but it was to be short lived as Frankie needed a liver transplant which took his life..I rode down to south Carolina with him & Doug Gray was one of the nicest cats you'd ever meet..RIP Frankie & long live the MTB.
How about a segment on Barry Bailey? One of the most distinctive lead guitar players from ARS. RIP Barry. A great guy.

I wasafanfrom the first album which came out before I could legally drive. For me it all came together, after seeing them live by the way, with the album Where We All Belong. That album made me realize what a great guitarist Toy was. Also I actually came to much further appreciate Tommy Caldwell's bass playing too with that album. MTB apparently had that Southern Rock Band curse as some call it beginning with Tommy's death and later Toy's (though I believe Toy died during a period where the band had parked it and Toy was out on his own). MTB was a great band and could proudly stand with any band of their time. I'm pleased to know Chris and Doug are keeping it moving ahead and still out there. These songs deserve to be played today as the music business is very pre-fabricated and hollow if I judge it by a lot of what passes as music today.

Love your Channel lot of great stories thank you for that. In the early 70s I was in high school in Warner Robins Georgia I'm sure you know where that is for people out there that don't know that's about 20 miles or so from Macon. Then my family moved out to the West Coast and I've been here ever since. To this day my favorite band is the Allman Brothers and Marshall Tucker's definitely one of my favorites that's for sure. Seen the Allman Brothers and or Gregg Allman Band Dicky Betts and Great Southern at least over 10 times over the years I'm sure. Saw the Marshall Tucker Band at least three times my favorite song is 24 hours at a time. One Time at a bar after the concert me and my buddy met up with the band and asked the guitar player why they didn't play the song Cattle Drive that's a great song, so the next time they came to town a couple of years later they played it, that was pretty awesome. Love your videos I've tried to watch every one.
Enjoyed it brother. Know you couldn’t talk about all the guys that came through the MTB , but Rusty played with them a long time and was a fantastic talent that started with them at a very young age. Just wondering.

I remember those concerts smoking weed on down the line, indoor stadiums full of smoke and the cops just standing around watching the whole thing go down. Not like today they would be beatin somebody half to death for taking a couple hits. I played in tons of bands played in good bands and not so good bands, but I always had the most fun with people I liked, the best band I played in was not fun we all did not get along too many prima donna's and egos clashed.
If there were any justice in the music business, this band should be legally forced to change their name to Partial Tucker band.
No Toy = No Marshall Tucker Band. Period.
With that said, Radford and Willis are 2 of the best guitarist Spartanburg ever gave the world. You can't swing a dead cat and not hit a mega talented guitarslinger in this town.. but those 2 are the cream of the crop.
Chis: back to my 2 dissertations re: EQT it occurred to me that you are friends with Mateus Snyder in Germany who has collected more information about Donnie McCormick and EQT because I sent him photocopies of all paper that I had but my CPA firm work interfered with my Southern music love and Civil War History and walking on the grounds where so many battles and skirmishes.
Zac Brown Band played a song composed by Donnie McCormick and Tommy Carlyle called "Have You No Shame?"
