Nah, I don't wanna be a buzzkill, but this video showed that Glastonbury is becoming Coachellaised; I mean seriously, there was so much tryhard fashion in this video. Only Generation Z and late gen Millenials are to blame. You wanna say this stuff is special and real but it's really not, a lot of people here were trying to look "out there" - thankfully Glastonbury is not full of people like this like Coachella is, so in that regard you have a point. When I went this year, Glastonbury was full of Boardmasters/V-Festival losers who don't care about music and just wanna mess about and get high; a lot of people who went to Glastonbury this year don't deserve to be there - I miss the old Glastonbury, I'll be honest, but hey, at least the music is better than ever!
Glastonbury and Coachella are not comparable events. One's the best party on earth, fuelled by progressive politics and free from adverts and corporate sponsorship. The other's a bleak soulless influencer convention where you can't even buy a beer without having to get past a security guard in a cheap tuxedo
I hope Glastonbury doesn't end up having tryhard fashion like Coachella does, but I'm admittedly worried that the wrong crowds are starting to appear at the festival who should be at Boardmasters and V-Festival rather than Glasto. Thankfully, this video proved to me that although a lot of tryhards are present, Glastonbury will always, in majority, be full of the realest and coolest people on earth.
The stuck-up posh crowds have been there for ages. But it's a variety festival, it's for all different types of people. As IP said, a festival like that is so massive that you're not likely to see the same person twice, others arn't gonna affect your experience really
