Quite a few clever ideas there. They haven't tried to grass up yo the hedges but rather put other features eg grill area , swing seat etc. Having a hedge yo cut the road noise down works Provided your road is on the north side of the garden. We put a Photinia (red robin) hedge on our north (road side of the garden yrs ago. - let it grow it up 4-5 mtrs in height - we just prune the sides. Deadens any road noise & reduced any chilly north winds. As it's road frontage we had a 2 mtr wire fence already in situ. We screened the fence with dark green wind breaking mesh. Then planted a combination of ivy & Virginia creeper the ivy provides the evergreen. The Virginia creeper the summer green and a spectacular red cascade effect in October 40mtrs long & 5 mtrs tall. As it climbs the Photinia too After it's done its stuff prune back anything above the fence height. Chaff it up and its ideal for the compost.
That’s a beautiful property & a lovely garden too, some great ideas love the windows & how they have matched some of the gothic type mirrors around ❤
Beautiful space, thanks for showing us
