This is Beth's Theme from the Broadchurch soundtrack, written by Ólafur Arnalds. The original is for piano with string quartet, but in my arrangement, I'm playing both piano parts with the right hand so I can add some flourishes with the left hard to add some flavor where the string quartet would have been. This is an extremely simple song, but every note carries meaning. It's profoundly melancholy and beautiful.
