  • Friday, 10/20/2023, from 11:29 AM to 12:37 PM, and from 3:18 PM (15:18), to 6:09 PM (18:09), this is some EXTRAVAGANZA train action on a Friday at the Trenton Transit Center Station in Trenton of Mercer County, New Jersey. This train action features many Amtrak services operating via the Northeast Corridor Line (Northeast Regional, Acela Express, Keystone, Pennsylvanian, Silver Star, Crescent, and Silver Meteor). Also seen here are New Jersey Transit commuter rail trains; the Northeast Corridor Line mainly, and SEPTA Regional Rail trains; the Trenton Line mainly. This station consists HEAVY train action daily, and it is also the only station in New Jersey to serve three major railway systems.

Does NJ Transit and Septa trains actually share the same tracks at Trenton

Track 5 of this station (which shares platforms with disembarking southbound NJT and southbound Amtrak trains) is where most SEPTA trains board and disembark.
Below the station in some ways the tracks are shared with all the three services when heading into Pennsylvania as the NJ Transit trains branch off for layovers in the Morrisville Yard, and the SEPTA and Amtrak trains head towards Philadelphia.

@@BJMediaTransit8516 I also wonder why in Philadelphia William H Gray III 30th Street station, Septa trains have a separate concourse in the upper level while Amtrak and NJ Transit Atlantic City Line trains are shared in the lower level. Why can't all Septa regional rail lines at 30th Street station share the same tracks with Amtrak and NJ Transit Atlantic City Line in the lower level.
