Adam Norris, you have no idea what a great service you've done to students and teachers everywhere! Some of us can't learn as easily just reading a book and we don't understand the "main points". But, when I watch your videos, you make it so easy to understand how all parts of a chapter connect and what the big picture is. It's truly amazing what you do! Thank you so much!
Basically the only way we learn in my class is read the textbook and take tests on the chapters. Your videos are seriously life- saving and my entire class uses them. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for this Adam. The APUSH teacher at my school doesn't explain things well, and before I found your videos I was making B's on test, but now I make A's using your videos. Everyone in my class considers you to be our real teacher. We really appreciate all of your videos.
Special place in heaven for you. I missed chapter 23 and 24 on a important issue cuz of which i missed school. You helped so much to cover ground, seriously thanks!!!
I've been studying from your videos for my past 4 tests in APUSH, my grades have been 94, 87, 92, and 100 as opposed to the 60's and 70's i was getting before i started using your videos. I've been recommending your videos to everyone in my class. They help me so much and i can't thank you enough for them you're literally a life saver hahaha! I have a test tomorrow on this chapter and i'm confident because of your help.. THANKYOU!!!!!
Thank YOU so much! Ever since I started to watch your videos to study and review for the tests I have received better grades on the tests. I will definitely spread the word! This makes studying so much easier.
THANK YOU. I learned way more from this than I did in class; I looked at my class notes while watching this and recognized the terms I wrote down but didn't even know until after watching this! I will definitely be watching all of your videos to prep for the AP test I've been worrying about... THANK YOU SO MUCH.
Thank you so much! As of the start of my second semester of APUSH, I use this as a tool after reading my 30+ pages of homework and this is a great way to make sure I've retained everything I've read!
Oh my god. Thank you so much for making these. I wish I had found them sooner!! I have my test tomorrrow and I honestly just can't make myself read this chapter. You're a grade saver!!!! I will advise my entire class to use these videos from now on!!!
Hi, thanks again for watching. In regards to your question, up until the early 1900s, horizontal integration was legal. It wasn't until 1911 (under President Taft) that Rockefeller's company was broken up. Pretty much until the Progressive era (Chapter 28 and 29), businesses were not held accountable for their actions (trusts, monopolies, horizontal integration, etc.) I hope that helped. Thanks again for watching!
Early on I had decided not to take the APUSH exam because the biweekly tests on multiple chapters that my teacher does...I felt like I just couldn't keep up no matter how much I read the textbook. But now there's hope! and I definitely want to take the Exam in MAy...thank you so much super history teacher person! your humor and analytical breakdowns of the content really helps alot!
I'm glad the videos help. I really encourage everyone to take the APUSH exam. If nothing else, it's a good experience and challenge. I think you'd feel better about yourself after taking it. Good luck the rest of the year.
THANK YOU SO FREAKING MUCH!!!!!!!! These are super helpful! Do you have any good studying tips? Ive never had to study for a history test, i just always got As, but now that im taking APUSH ive failed every single test. Like EVERY SINGLE TEST. If you have any study tips please please let me know!!!!
Wow I like these videos, thanks! My teacher thinks that I'm only slightly above average, but these videos will help me bump up to moderately above average!
I LOVE THESE. I take APUSH and your videos are sooooooo helpful. A's both quarters! (Although D on my semester 1 exam, so B for a semester grade.) But your vids are the best by far!
Haha, I don't know why I didn't see this earlier. Thanks for the pronunciation tips. I could definitely improve in some areas. I will check out the state song for sure. I hope you did well on your exam!
These videos are super great! In our class we do unit exams, so if you wanted too a unit review would be really helpful to all of us! Just a suggestion :)
So "vertical integration" meant that only one owner (Carnegie) managed the production while "horizontal integration" meant that the owner (Rockefeller) associated with other people to own several businesses within the oil industry?
Hi! Thank you for the video :) I learned so much than what I learned in the classroom and everything just clicks it my head! :D but I have one question: was horizontal integration illegal back then? Or is it just illegal now?
Thank you so much for making these videos! I will be sure to tell my classmates. Could you do videos covering essays/dbq how to answer them? I'd appreciate it!
Thanks for watching and spreading the word, I appreciate it. I have a video on how to write an introductory paragraph, and I also have videos on certain essay topics. You can check my playlist on essay topics/writing for them.
My classmate told me about this. Thx a lot bro. i have a test tommorarow in APUSH over chapters 22-24. i cant spell i know but thank you so much man. Lifesaver. I usually dont leave comments. PS: Do you watch the chicago bulls and spurs. Do you play GTAV
So if the purpose of the Sherman Antitrust Act was to break up monopolies, did it ever actually get used to do that or was all it ever did curb labor unions?
So you said that horizontal integration is illegal. What was really so bad about it? And how would that do with railroads if Rockefeller was an oil guy? (Great videos by the way, you make things a lot easier for me in my class!)
can you further explain why vertical integration is legal while horizontal integration is illegal. They seem like the same concept just different aspects. Thanks so much :)
You're considered a celebrity in my school. Everyone watches your videos. Great work.
+Nick Gold Thanks to you and everyone at your school, I appreciate it. Best of luck!

So you said that horizontal integration is illegal. What was really so bad about it? And how would that do with railroads if Rockefeller was an oil guy? (Great videos by the way, you make things a lot easier for me in my class!)
The reason it was bad was because since Rockefeller controlled the oil industry, he decided the oil prices which ultimately hurts the consumers.
Oh okay. That makes sense.
Thank you, I appreciate it. Good luck on May 15!
I was just wondering why horizontal integrations were illegal and how they came to that descion
