I just wanted you to know that from the rest of all the videos of hopia, your video is the simplest and most practical procedure. This is the reason why Iamhavebeen adopting your method when I first viewed it. Always perfect output. Thanks you're superb. All recipes of each kind I write them down in a logbook and compare them from ingredients and method. Now I have 4 logbooks maintained. Still your hopia recipe is the best. Pls. continue to come up with simple and easy recipes for you are helping a lot viewers.
I like this version of the recipe better than the others I’ve seen. I was looking for the one with the layers of pastry that makes the Hopia unique. Thanks for this recipe.
This recipe caught my eyes! I couldn't resist not clicking on it, this is my favorite snack. Hipiang mungo!!! Thank you for sharing. It looks simple to do. I will try it soon. bTW, new Subscriber here 👍😁
This looks so tasty. I would love to try one, or two. However, I probably won't be able to taste this anytime soon. I am lazy and this has so many steps. You are quite talented and make it seem so easy to prepare. Thanks for sharing this with us.
I just made this! it turned out terrific! the dough is so easy to make, thanks for sharing the recipe!!! The filling looked a little too runny though so i added about a cup more of flour.
@@FoxyFolksy however i don’t own a circle cookie cutter so they came out in little smushed balls- they still tasted great though! do you have any ideas on what i can use instead?
In Korea, I used to make a lot of red bean bread from a long time ago. It is a bread that the elderly usually like because there is a lot of sweet red beans in the steamed bread.👍👍💚💚
Great video presentation. I have a question, can you make both doughs in advance, like a day before and refrigerate it the make the hopia the next day? I made my filling, but didn’t have time to do the whole thing in one day. Thanks for the recipe!!
Medyo pareho pala sila ng puff pastry except that this uses shortening. Interesting. Thanks for the tutorial po 🥰
Excellent no long talking. Love this vedio. Thank you for sharing your recipe

Nothing is as good as homemade, however if you go to an Asian Market that has a lot of Filipino foods, they should have some in stock.

If you have a glass that matches the dimension, that should also work. 😊
Next time try adding corn starch 1/4 cup ? to thicken the filling not watery. It shows in the recepi, as I watched the chef did it , I think ?

24? Pieces?
Yes 24 pieces. 😊
May i ask about the shortening? What is it? Not familiar with the shortening and how can i buy abroad? Any other alternatives instead?
You can buy it at supermarkets. :) An alternative is butter, though it will affect the taste and texture but not much.
Where to buy po the shortening?? Ty for this recipe!!
In supermarket, I but the Crisco brand but you can also get them from baking supply shops repacked and sometimes much cheaper...
