You have a good ear for listening. You must hear a zillion stories each day you do this job! I can see why people feel comfortable with you around their treasures. You also remind me of a much younger version of my father - dad jokes included! ‘’
I love this stuff! Great guy for relating the history. You are the best! Thanks so much for doing this video!
Im a new sub. I enjoyed this so much, I brought hubby in to enjoy the old cars. He did! Ty for taking us along!
Man all that stuff is right up my alley, probably be better when the snow melts
I don't comment...............but.............I really enjoy your channel..............I appreciate all the work you do to bring us a long. Thank You
I appreciate that Grant :)
New subscriber here. I just gotta say; that story of the stationary engine in the mine is the kind of stuff I love to hear about. Would be quite the adventure to visit the mine and have a look at it.
New subscriber catching up.
"You have race car parts? What kind of race car parts?". I love the way your tone changed LOL! Totally went from making conversation to "picker on point".
I'm also reminding watchers not to skip the ads. That's how our favorite RUclipsrs get paid so they can keep making great videos. Ya ain't gotta watch, just don't skip.
Hello Alex. I enjoy your videos . Have been watching them a long time . This video was extra exciting too watch as I enjoy old machinery . Tractors and old hit and miss engines are interesting. I have had this interest since I was 10 years old. I am now 56 . I live in Nova Scotia. Keep up the good work.
Love your vids! Keep ‘em coming :)
If Canada was tropical, a large part of the US population would move there. Me being one of them. But, after seeing all that snow, I had flashbacks of my youth growing up in the snow belt of upstate NY. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Not many people remember lap belts. My first car had no seatbelts. (1963 Plymouth Valaint
Beautiful scenery. I wish Oklahoma would see at least one snowfall like that a year. So far all we’ve had here is a dusting, not enough to cover the grass. Good luck on the BSA!
You got a lot of snow out there we got nothing out here back and Ontario where I am good video lot of interesting stuff. 👍👍🇨🇦
I used to be into agricultural vehicles in a big way . . . but now I'm an ex-tractor fan. Joking aside - what a fascinating guy. I could listen to him all day.
..a great view of times past , good luck on future purchases..
Such a beautiful video. I love when you include other ppl
Great video, Alex. Loved all the trucks and tractors.
When you told that guy they used to restore everything. Very true. Kids took mechanic class in school. Fathers sometimes bought cars to teach sons how to work on cars. Now mechanics is no longer in schools. So sad. Even took wood shop out of schools. Nowadays kids alot of times sit around on playing games and not learning extra stuff. Not all. Just some.
Very interesting as always and sorry for the late watch been super busy. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Great video!
Love the Ambulance always, but I would ruin it! I would do airide & body dropped it. Thanks for sharing Alex
Thanks for the show alex..hello melissa..cowboy...
got to love hoarders there perfect for storing history
I am so envious... we use to get snow here in iowa… not so much any more...
Interesting to see all that old machines
Scrounging around for stuff. Good stuff to restore.
The roadster/pickup was cool . If you can and you want it you should try to make a deal on that , they are as scarce as hens teeth . Well at least you paid the price of admission buying the bicycles .I think I would have picked a better day.
I can almost guarantee that the Cali Cat came off the Carrizo Plains, one of my favorite places on earth (at the moment), they attempted to do 'Dry Land Farming' from the '20s to the '80s.... Now the upper half of the valley is basically just solar farms.
Come Spring '19, if weather patterns hold, Carrizo Plains National monument may be having one of the greatest Super Blooms ever recorded in Northern America... (and you can set up camp, almost anywhere, as long as you are off the valley floor, God Bless the BLM!!!)
You need to go back in the spring when all that snow is gone, you needed some snow shoes. :)
Incredible!
You need to take us back there in the spring when you can see everything after the snow is melted
Snow is pretty......................
colin heffner Pretty if it’s in a place where it doesn’t throw everything into chaos! You’re right though. One of my favourite memories is of one snowy New Year’s Eve when my dad took us out for a late night walk in the deep snow. Everyone still had their holiday lights up - it was magical! Got home, made hot cocoa just in time for Mom to get home from a long drive from a conference, and we welcomed another year. I don’t like the headaches snow brings, but that magical night stayed with me.
Nice guy...Thank you...
I did like the #010 old car at 5:15. the rest tractors and bulldozers I would leave for someone else to get excited over.
Good vid..👍🏻👍🏻
nice trip alex.........
I enjoyed this video. I would still like to rebuild a D4. Not much room. Maybe an Allis "G' or an old F"A" with magneto.
I think you need to put some snow shoes in your car for these adventures!
Alex you need sunshine to get rid of all that snow
When I started in the oil production business I hand cranked many old motors like the model you showed, or similar.
So I am waiting for your comment about one crank turning another crank! Hang onto those keys!😁😁
Cool place he had there. Not into the heavy equipment that much but I did love the old truck and motorcycle. I hope you get a chance to buy the motorcycle. I have two bikes with the suicide shifters that I've ridden for many years. I'm not sure if I could ride a modern foot shift bike. I'd be reaching for the tank constantly.
I’d love to have that bike! Fingers crossed :)
Good video ☺
I’d love to go pickin there a lot of farmalls and engines that cub at the end was nice
That Farmall A towards the end would look great next to my '39 Farmall A lol
FarmallForever nice I love farmalls
FarmallForever someday I plan on having my own Homestead with Antique equipment for my farm And my house will look like something that was built in the 1800s
FarmallForever Minus the fact that I will have some electricity but if I do get a gas stove it will be an antique gas stove
And an antique gas fridge is what I want 40s atleast
Wow you get a lot of snow
Having too much fun !
im in sw florida and i just turned on my furnace brrrrr your vid made me very coldddd, Peace
Alex,
You Canadians are tough, I would wait for warmer snow free weather to look around.
He is well organized but I wonder why he has so many vehicles,
Aren't most of them going to sit there until he is gone??
I guess I see potential dollars, who cam figure ?
Cheers,
Rik
The flying boat at 13:00 is a Consolidated "Coronado". PBY is a "Catalina" or a Canso.
I had a "64" Wildcat ,Mine had the V6
Really sound man would love to chat and learn from him
Very cool, I live in southern Sask and we never quit picking and looking, love my old rust, have had a number of old Deeres, Masseys, and McCormicks(IH) however like u, smalls are a lot easier to handle. I have my own booth at the Centennial mall in Regina, Sask. If you are in the area check us out also check
out Bargain Barons on RUclips they have bought a number of items from me
I'm not much into "patina" or rust as I see it. but no matter what it is or what patina it's got, I like to see them functioning. I could watch a hit and miss engine run for hours. I have never figured out how or why it misses when it does. There is now a restoration idea going around that restores function, stops further decay, but makes it look better but not new. I don't know if they've named the idea yet or what. Sometimes they are painted, I mean, but not with paint that looks fresh, it looks aged but solid. I don't know what they do to the paint to make it look that way, but it works. Makes the machine look like it's not rust and ruin, but not new either. That's an idea I can get behind, so long as making them do whatever they're supposed to do is part of the equation. I've attempted to do something similar on small things, but to date, without much success.
If you like hit and miss engines etc, please subscribe to my channel i try to upload regular☺.
CURIOSITY INC., OH MY GOODNESS!!!! "WHEN I HAVE MONEY" I WILL COME SEE YOU!!!!
I can't believe you were out picking in that snow. I am as die hard as the next but would be out there for 5 minutes and give up with that cold..
Ha! I guess you get thick skinned up here! Not much stops me :)
Imagine the auction after he dies. Leaning really hard on the hoarder diagnosis.
Just in case, I would like to find a 77-79 Chev Belair or Impala, no rust in driving order. Dad had a few that he wore out as taxis. One was our family car.
I love to look around there, with out the snow it could take few days. The bike looked ace BSA what ?
500 single :) nice bike
Curiosity Incorporated I believe BSA was a m20 if you can buy it don’t do a NASCAR’ 😥
cool stuff but you have no idea what is hidden under all that snow LOL
Early Sprint car ........ Drool.
check out exploring abandoned mines u tube channel he goes all around bc and alaska and mexico its good stuff
Have you ever been pulled over because of the lap belt not being seen? :)
No, a lot of old cars don’t even have seat belts and it’s legal to drive them if they were not equipped with them from the factory.
I hope all that flippen snow stays up your way it's pretty but it brings my area to a stop crippled nobody knows how to drive in it
It’s not bad once your used to it
please find some old Porsche, Volvo coupe, BMW coupe etc. then fix them up drive them, and flip it
good grief the rustworld well atleast you brought something outta there ill guess you saved them bikes from doom again i have no advice just keep digging
I wonder if you have any video of the ambulance renovation?
Cool video Alex. It’s just to big of items to make any money on. I didn’t see one item that would of looked cool in your shop. Unless you have a buyer for some of this equipment and you lined it up before you bought it. Smalls is were it’s at.
I’m hoping I can tell some of customers about his stuff and send them his way :)
Curiosity Incorporated ya that’s smart. We are the same age the 80’s bmx was a good pic up we definitely had one of those when we were kids.
Paintings have a removable varnish applied after they are cleaned and restored, is there something like that which can be applied to preserve the auto finish without refinishing?
Sorry, Valiant, slant six.
You have to do a better job editing👍🏻🥴✌🏻🤗
I could never understand the appeal of the TV show “American restoration” where he would “restore” the item to within an inch of its life and knock out any character that the item had acquired over the years .....dreadful way of doing things
All the ads are going to make me quit watching your videos.
