Dude ! ' This just to cool ' I love it . Do u think it would be possible to make one of these & run small spike'ed tire's in the back ? Reason is to run in snow & or ice ' also work out a suspension for the seat as I have a bad back . Maby a skie to bolt to the front ? I dont know this just look's like so much fun & give's me so many ideas !! Cant help it ! Jimmie R
Based on what I observed from the build, there should be a collar that holds the axle bearing in place so it wouldn't roll inside the tube. Force fitting the bearing shouldn't be enough to hold it in long term use due to loading. Just my few pennies. Overall, it a nice inexpensive build.
imagine a collar on the bearing itself. like a step in the bearing that is the mechanical stop that your saying should be in the tube instead. the bearings aren't press fit, I agree they'd slip inside the tube the more you tighten the axle bolts that way.
I wish you could make an actual parts list of everything that is needed and exactly what it is called so that I know exactly what I need to look up for to purchase please let me know thank you
@midgets garage Hey man love the vid but have one question. Is that motor a "weed wacker/whipper snipper" motor? If you know what im talking about. And how much cc is it?
I really like ur video,im from mauritius, and im trying to build my own Motorized drift trike. Can u plz tell me how many teeth on the sprocket and on the pinion(if they call like this) Sorry for my bad english. Thnx.
hello garage Midgets my question, is that engine you use in your project what type of engine it is and what size. I'm starting a project like yours and wanted to implement the same engine that you use in the video you can give me the reference of the engine.
The bearings fit the old huffys and airwalks but are about 1mm too big for the new comp series. Our axles are way wider than standard, and you need hubs to put the wheels on them. If you buy the bearings of us it will be easy to get a 20mm axle made.
Im interested in purchasing a bunch of stuff from you but I don't know if you have a store. I am new to the game of powered trike systems but am pretty good with a wrench. Is there a specific trike system that you like better than another, i.e. Huffy, Triad, ETC. I'm willing to take any advice you'll give me.
Triads the most rugged and expensive, old huffys are cramped but light, new huffys are still ironing out some bugs, the rest are redundant. My favorite is old huffy, but I've destroyed so many I'm slowly accepting the triads to use as my own runner.
I'm not sure if I figured in the throttle, or the spacers for the axle, but i looked on a website and I think I could build one for 360-ish US dollars.
Hey man not to insult by any mean's 'but I have welded for 15 yrs. & I think that if the frame is ' or has gussets welded in the rite place'es It should be plenty strong enough to to take the lbs. + tork & vibration . & the lbs. of my fat ars . Sorry It was just a ?
Mate. I love how you have made a hobby into a business 👍👍👍

when you turned the chassi around it sounded like the bearing slided inside?
@midgets garage Hey man love the vid but have one question. Is that motor a "weed wacker/whipper snipper" motor? If you know what im talking about. And how much cc is it?
it is a 49cc whipper snipper engine. refer to it as a 49cc pull start case reed 2 stroke ie40f-6 for search or I sell them at www.midgetsgarage.com.au
Thanks, is it enough power to move the trike with someone on it? lol
+Colby Lafontaine plenty, we ride them at 3/4 throttle most of the time, check out my other video's if you want to see them running.

Hello Mauritius!
6 teeth pinion sprocket,
68 teeth axle sprocket
Thank you very much.

Curious, Thinking of using my chainsaw motor for one of these, like my father build a go kart when i was younger ..man that think was fast
where or how I can get the engine or the engine is and all parts beforehand hope your answer thanks
Will the axel and bearings fit into the stock rear chasie

My trolley wheels are 26cm wide I think it's too big how wide are your ones
What size pipe do you put over the wheels?
how much power does the engine produce?
What size tubing do you use for tires
Could u do a video to show how wobbly the wheel borrow wheels

Fred Arnett green machine? just kidding
I'm looking to build a trike similar to yours. Can you post a youtube video of yours? The trike itself. Thanks
what length you used rear axles?
Hallo ich hab mir dieses Video angeschaut und würde gerne wissen wo man sich DIW ganzen Teile kaufen kann.
Kevin Lepsky WHAT! the only word you spelled right was "video"
which measures the axle are?
is this a brush cutter motor?
Are they a brush cutter motor
Yes
how much would be in the UK ?
whats its the total price?
I'm not sure if I figured in the throttle, or the spacers for the axle, but i looked on a website and I think I could build one for 360-ish US dollars.
oh, and I wasn't sure what motor mount to get so i didn't include that, either
where do you get the " sprocket connector "
Hey man would a 3 hp. Briggs motor work on this set up ?
nah they are a bit too heavy and cause the frame to fatigue after a while. I have different designs for different engines at Midgets Garage.com.au
Yes it will work man
could i use the engine on my go kart for one of these??
+bangover yes
you should adjust the cc on your videos its desaturated and purple. nice build though
