I am so disappointed with our leaders. They care only about themselves and not the citizens of Kenya. What is the real meaning of this day? What in Kenya, is there to celebrate except for the real leaders who saw Kenya become independent. Today, all we see is a waste of taxpayer's money and many Kenyans living in total abject poverty. What a shame!

Agreed, most of the past celebrations have been a waste of time and tax payers money but this one today, was necessary. It allowed Kenyans to read the political mood of the nation and now each of us has made their conclusions. More so it was an attempt to cement Kenya as one state not milimeans, bondeans,lakeans, kukueans etc. Most importantly, It gives opportunity to challenge the appointments of bondeans only in most senior positions available if really Kenya is one, creating ground for another impeachment for those responsible in dividing Kenya, politically, geographically, ethnically, nepotism, colour, height etc.through those skewed selections.That is my take

We really shouldn't be propagating ethnicity or tribe or language, we should be one and the goal for each leader should not be only caring for their tribe but promoting unity as one Kenya, One people.
