    I think other gun owners will be able to know this is a gun bag, you know “A fisherman can spot another fisherman from afar” kind of deal. But most folks won’t immediately jump to, he’s carrying a gun. I’m too skinny to carry IWB during warm months so off body is a great option for me. Like you said tho, training with your carry method and good situational awareness will always serve you well

    While I love carrying my stuff in a cross body bag for the convenience and keeping stuff out of my pocket I feel like these days a bag like that is the same as wearing a sign that says "I'm carrying a gun in here!" Dunno if one can really consider it *concealed* carry anymore

    I bought the MTac Sling carry bag for $30 bucks. Added a buckle, sling pad, and holster for my p365xl w/tlr7 sub. It works great! 945 didn't have the holster I needed, so I bought one I already trust. The bag is bigger with more pockets and not as big of a giveaway, IMO.

    I am very happy to hear you always tell people to at least have something on them no matter what it is. That is something that really bothers me when I hear other gun tubers say things in their videos while giving advice to beginner carriers like they would be better off with nothing if all they have is a certain type of firearm or caliber that the gun tuber does not like, or other things along those lines. You are exactly right though, carry what you got until you can get something better because if your life is in danger, having something is always better than nothing because at least you have a chance to survive rather than no chance 👍

    Hey bro, would love to have you watch the USCCA video where navy seals test off body carry in civilian defense scenario. Only one time was he able to get the firearm out and defend himself. Fanny pack is only useful if you know you have plenty of space and distance. In a real altercation you will not get that tiny zipper open

      @@skyblue1122I would not want the chance of getting my bag ripped off (yes those plastic buckles break) just rather not take the chance. And this is coming from someone who loved Fanny pack carry until I decided to do force on force and wrestle with a couple people to create scenarios and you will not get the gun out of the bag reliably enough to trust it with my life unless I absolutely have to carry off body.

    Quick question: I was wondering being a right handed shooter, and having the bag slinging over your right shoulder. Would you be able to have the bag slung over your left shoulder and still be able to mount the gun holster positioned to draw right handed? I hope I’m not confusing this, I wear sling bags but I don’t like carrying them over my right shoulder, I just find it more comfortable wearing it the other way. Thank you in advance for any feedback back.

    I agree with many others. I have tge M Tec bag, and it's working fine. This one seems priced kind of high. Cross Breed and Eclipse Holsters have a lot of velcroholsters for less than $50.

    • @deucedeuce1572
      @deucedeuce1572 4 месяца назад +1

      There are many good one's for that price (or less). Sometimes you get what you pay for, but sometimes you don't. I'm not sure when it comes to these. They do have to be goo quality though to be able to rip the zippers like that and not break them and not damage the bag itself. I've seen people practice 100s of times with them and not damage them or wear them out. I can't say that can't be done with the cheaper one's too though. I do really like the holsters for each gun model though. Many of the cheaper one's just have that crappy stretchy stuff that works for "any" gun or "every" gun... but having Velcro isn't that much better (or more expensive to manufacture). Then having to buy a holster for each model (if they even have your model) really brings up the price too.

    Bag carry itself is underrated. I have extensive experience with it, 945 is a good system but there is plenty of slings that look less assuming and can be modified to accept hook and loop Velcro just like this. Even trigger guard carry is possible and less expensive or hassle over putting Velcro on every holster. I recommend hill people gear belt packs and chest rigs for outdoor backcountry carry.

    • @deucedeuce1572
      @deucedeuce1572 4 месяца назад

      A lot of people argue against it also, because it's technically "off body" carry like purse carry and the bag itself could become the target if you're getting robbed. They might know/assume you have a gun in it or know/assume you have valuables in it. If I ever carry a "fanny pack" there definitely will not be a firearm in it. Only if they made a come-back for normal everyday use and carry one with a firearm wouldn't be assumed.

      Yeah, there are many nice one's even for $20 to $40. There are even some good one's for concealed carrying for that price. I really do prefer that they have specific holsters for each model firearm though. I've never been a fan of the generic flexible holster types that work for "any" gun or "every" gun. It just sucks though, because it limits the models that you can carry and you have to buy a holster for each one (if they even sell the holster for the weapons you have). I guess that's why we should all know how to make our own holsters though. Anyone can buy Kydex and Velcro and make a holster if they need to.

    I hate the name "fanny pack", because that name alone has destroyed such a good thing and made it look feminine and/or gay. It was actually men throughout history that carried bags/purses... and it wasn't a feminine thing or a "pretty" thing or a status thing (like expensive bags and bags with all sorts of designs and colors, etc...)... It's always been a utilitarian thing. I've always hated having my pockets all full too. It's uncomfortable. I may love cargo pants... but it is a pain in the ass to have stuff in every pocket. Having a bag to carry around my neck, waist and/or shoulders though can be very comfortable and really make it feel like I'm not carrying anything at all. (...and a bookbag can be a little too much to take with you everywhere. You'll just be be spending more time trying to find a place to put it).

    • @beanhead9293
      @beanhead9293 4 месяца назад

      The topic you are touching on here is the outcome of western societal views on gender. It seems like you are equating "feminine" and "gay" as something negative because the majority of people view those things as weak and inferior.
      I just wanna let you know that fanny packs,purses,bookbags etc are for everyone. Inanimate objects cant have a gender or sex

    • @deucedeuce1572
      @deucedeuce1572 4 месяца назад

      @@beanhead9293 Can't say I disagree. Really, people shouldn't care what others think of them anyways. If it's good, then use it. In any case though, most people do care and that leaves a perfectly good method of carrying important items unused for the most part. Kinda funny how simple, even ridiculous and pointless opinions that are not based on any kind of logic or evidence can have such an impact on society as a whole. I guess the same could be said for all fashion though. Almost got into a fight one time, because some guy wearing all his rapper clothes called me a "fag" for having a tucked in collar shirt, which at the time was my work shirt... so I threw back my own insults and he was too weak to handle them apparently. I guess that's the same weakness that made him dress like that in the first place though.
      Also, inanimate objects can't have gender or sex, but they can be gender specific. You can't tell me that tampons are for men. They do have good uses for men though, like plugging bullet holes temporarily to get a person to the hospital. They still are what they are though... a Feminine Hygiene Product. Then you have bra's, makeup, hair curlers/straighteners/other stuff, Vagisil and countless other products that are clearly for girls/women and not for men.

    The guys that wear this are the same ones that open carry at walmart. The wanna be Billy bad ass types that look for attention. You 100% make yourself a target by wearing this with no tactical advantage.

      @@spnfirearms Satchel? 🤣Bro when I see a guy wearing something like that I know he's packing. Might as well open carry.

      Men actually carried purses for 1000s of years before it became a feminine thing. The Bible uses the word "purse" in some versions, but I'm not sure what they were called before translation. I wish there were better words (common words) to call them though, because "purse" and "fanny pack" make them seem feminine and/or gay.

      I don't think it makes you gay but it makes you a prime target for the bad guy. When I see a guy wearing this or a fanny pack I know he is probably packing. No sense in advertising.@@deucedeuce1572

      I don’t get why you would watch it then? That’s dumb. An adult who doesn’t like something yet watches videos about it and complains. Lmao

      @@spnfirearms because I wanted to see your reasoning. I don’t get someone posting videos and being so sensitive about it they, lash out. Childish. I don’t know how much force on force or tactics training you have but there is no reason or pro to carrying a firearm off body. Especially in a grappling scenario which is how most self defense shootings start. On that same note, get some training if you haven’t in hand to hand combat. Bags are good for tourniquets, supplies, non lethals. Not something you need full control over all the time.
