Good to have competition and this has obviously been put together by people that understand MTBs, not some hack. However, I don't think there's enough room for improvement in the 250W mid-motor only category for anything to be game changing. I think you're mistaking turbo and boost, eco trail and turbo are always available (turbo is 105nm / 850w) and u can put it in BOOST for 30 sec when holding the arrow up for longer on the remote
You are correct. Rode the bike at Frankfurt today. Sam pricing is also not correct. €8000 to €12000 they were quoting today. Still a bloody which seems to be in the ball park to me.

I'm stoked. I'm also pretty optimistic about the way the industry is evolving. Just don't evolve too slowly, as I'm 72 and have to burn through my children's inheritance.
Very nice review! Hopefully, DJI can put a rest to some of the 'safety' issues regarding e-bike batteries (ie. catching fire). All the bad press on e-bike batteries really causes some issues with rules/laws/regulations in specific areas or settings. They use what's called intelligent flight batteries on their drones.....I'm sure they're doing something similar in their e-bikes. Looks like a smart move for DJI entering this market. Thanks again for the review!
There is an estimated 1 billion traditional pedal bikes in the world. It would make sense that someone would make a conversion to ebike from the bike you already own.
Holy crap that looks amazing on first impressions. I’m very keen on the Pinion MGU but this has come out of left field and seems really promising. The proportions of that frame make the motor look quite discrete for the rated power figures. Seemed very quiet. Can’t wait too see how it goes on steep climbs, consistency of power and how much if any thermo throttling you experience. Characteristics on technical and chunky terrain. Things like the overrun, how smooth/aggressive power coming.
@@glencompton2949 I don't think I need 120nm and that much power is going to be hard on the drive train. But innovations like this are great for us consumers. I'm keen on the Pinion MGU too. Sick of cleaning chains. It's rarely dry in Scotland.
@@Silverbeardedsurfer I’m so over cleaning chains. I love that my wife rides with me, but having double the work is a pain. I’m in a wet part of NZ with horrible clay.
