IMO, Chris Stapleton is a generational triple threat; singer, songwriter, musician. He is a storyteller's storyteller - which is what country music is all about. He can play it all too; blues, bluegrass, rock, soul, etc. Buckle up! The Stapleton train will take you on a grand journey. His Bing Lounge recording of "Sometimes I Cry" will blow your mind.
Chris Stapleton is married to singer-songwriter Morgane Stapleton, who co-wrote Carrie Underwood's 2006 single "Don't Forget to Remember Me". She had a recording deal with Arista Nashville. The couple met when they were working at adjacent publishing houses and married in 2007. They have five children and live in Nashville. In October 2017, the couple announced they were expecting twins. On April 15, 2018, (Stapleton's 40th birthday), host Reba McEntire announced live on the 53rd Academy of Country Music Awards that twin boys had been born to the Stapletons.[ At his concert at Madison Square Garden on November 2, 2018, Stapleton announced that he and his wife were expecting their fifth child; he repeated the announcement at the Country Music Association awards on November 18, 2018. On April 28, 2019, he appeared as an extra in the HBO series Game of Thrones episode "The Long Night" as a wight. On May 12, 2019, Morgane and Chris welcomed their fifth child, a baby boy, into their family. He also had a dog named Maggie, which appears on his latest release "Starting Over". I’m really enjoying your awesome Stapleton’s reactions! Blessings from Oklahoma, USA
‘Starting Over’ woke me from a deep sleep during lockdown when I left the TV on a Country Video station…and I couldn’t get it out of my head. This man and his beloved wife Morgane are both talented beyond words, with backing bands that have journeyed alongside them… Great song to start your channel…the Stapletons are going to thrill us for quite a while I think…they’re just incredible. We are witnessing a new beginning of Country/Folk/Soul GOLD right now… Let’s all enjoy this together..!!
In my opinion, Chris Stapleton is the Adele of Country Music. He's not always in the forefront or in the spotlight but when he is, he's a huge deal. He's a sensational singer, songwriter and musician.
That lady is Chris’s wife, Morgane. She sings backup/harmonies on most of his songs. Chris is not your standard country artist. He’s got southern rock, blues, and soul to his sound. He just gets lumped in with the country genre even though he’s kind of his own genre.
Thank you for the background, does Morgane release her own music or just provide backup/harmonies for Chris? Because she sounds incredible as well and I would be keen to check out any of her work too! 👍🏻
@@taylorfamilyreactions Not sure about her doing her own work, but there is a live cover they do together called “Amanda” and her voice is crazy in that!
You can not go wrong with any of his music, but definitely only do live when you can. He will blow you away. My favorites are I Was Wrong live at Austin City Limits (and his Tennessee Whiskey at the same concert), What Are You Listening To, Sometimes I Cry live at the Bing Lounge, and an amateur video version of Barely Alive. Also check out his wife Morgane in You Are My Sunshine. Oh! And both of them at the Grand Ol' Opry singing Amanda. Sorry, there's so much that he puts out that is amazing, it's hard to choose one or two! :) There's so many more good ones!
I see you’ve been on this journey for about a year now, but I’m going back to binge watch your reactions because I’m so here for this, watching you discover country music! I love it! ❤️❤️
Chris Stapleton isn't capable of making a bad song. He could sing the phone book and I would be there for it. Check out anything live by him. You won't be disappointed.
His wife Morgane sings back up on most of his songs. Her voice is amazing! We are missing out on her not doing a solo album. Also I think Chris needs to change his band name to The Stapletons. ❤
I had a very different idea of what country music was when I started this journey and can’t believe what I’m finding out so far from just listening to Chris, Eric and the Lukes! Can’t wait to find out what is next! 😃
Thank you so much!! I really appreciate you saying that and thank you for subscribing! 🙏🏻 If there are any songs you recommend just let me know and I would love to take a look 👍🏻
I've been a fan of Chris Stapleton's for decades. What brought him to my attention was Adele's "If it hadn't been for love" which he wrote. He was with a bluegrass band called the Steeldrivers who did some MAD great music including that song. They won awards. Check them out sometime if you want to be impressed.
This is actually one of my top choices for him. Usually, reactors get to this song eventually but I'm so happy you started with this one!!! TN Whiskey is a logical next choice (prefer the live version from Austin City Limits) but I happen to LOVE "Sometimes I Cry" Live @ the Bing Lounge!! You kinda picked the best artist to begin with... Chris is in a class of his own. It's hard to categorize him as just a country artist... very blues-y with a ton of soul to boot!
I really enjoy you reaction. It's pretty fun to get to share our music with y'all! I'm glad you have been enjoying it, because country music has a way of getting all up in your soul. God bless ya buddy!
I’m subscribing to your channel because you seem to love this song as much as I do. Chris Stapleton is amazing. Great job reacting 🥰✌🏼listen to Maggie’s Song. A tear jerker from Chris as well.
Love the content. I would love to hear your reaction to "The Rain" by Remetta think you might can relate to that american band lol keep up the great content.
He is an American treasure, moreover you should listen to broken Halo, Tennessee whiskey, either way and one that is deep deep is death row there’s nothing the man can’t saying and he’s for my part of the country that Kentucky hills
He is one of a kind. This is another artist I only discovered because of your reactions. After the 90's to early 2000's Country music in general for my enjoyment went too much to a pop sound. Apparently there are exceptions to that rule! Thanks.
Here's 19 songs (not my playlist) that give a pretty decent sampling of Chris's work; not to be confused with the album of a similar name - "Essential Chris Stapleton. Note that some are audio only, while some are official music videos that tell a complementary story. Hope you enjoy. ruclips.net/p/PL1ufX9RhA6YnrxfQZDSXZLpyDSGtLQXFq
Yeah...Start with Chris stapleton and stay there..Austin city limits live version of tennessee whisky. Bing lounge version of sometimes I cry and album version of Either way...Just to be going on with....
George Jones - "He stopped loving her today" Shenandoah - "I want to be loved like that" Sawyer Brown - "The walk" or "Cafe on the corner" Don Williams - "I believe in you" Alabama - "Forevers as far as I will go" Those are what would be considered classic County. Logan Halstead would be Folk/Bluegrassy/Appalachian country ruclips.net/video/A2KVN8CIl6c/видео.html
Stapleton is a breath of fresh air to country music as so much has converted to a pop/rap formulaic sound. If you want views on a video first watch Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire when he was younger followed by Hurt, a cover of the rock band 9 Inch Nails. One other is A Country Boy Can Survive by Hank Williams Jr, they will bring you views, you;'ll enjoy the songs and all will give you a deeper dive into the roots of country, not this modern cliché garbage about dirt roads, tailgates, moonlight and beer.
I will get these added to the list and can’t wait to check them out! Thank you for suggesting them! I’m finding that country music seems to have many different levels and directions within it and I’m excited to find out more!
Hi, thank you for the suggestion, you can find my reaction to Tennessee Whiskey below, I thought it was amazing! ruclips.net/video/tMITKZexK60/видео.html

His duo with Her is amazing Hold on . Magical
Enjoyed your reaction! Chris is a generational talent. Pretty much no one sings like him with those vocals in any genre.

He performed this song at the CMA show - just him, his wife and his guitar - it's amazing!!!
IMHO as good if not better than the studio production!
Chris does a mean covet of James Brown's, It's A Man's World! You'll love it!
Had a feeling you would like him!!
National Treasure

Tennessee whiskey at the Austin city limits. More amazing than on his album.
Chris Stapleton is like Pink Floyd, you would be really hard pressed to find a bad song by them.
George Jones - "He stopped loving her today"
Shenandoah - "I want to be loved like that"
Sawyer Brown - "The walk" or "Cafe on the corner"
Don Williams - "I believe in you"
Alabama - "Forevers as far as I will go"
Those are what would be considered classic County.

It is his wife
That's his wife Morgane.
THE SINGER WITH CHRIS IS HIS WIFE ...
That’s his wife
If this is your start to modern country music, you have nowhere to go but other Chris Stapleton music or down. Look old school country otherwise.
She is married to chris
His wife
