I just listened to Renata Tebaldi's version. While Dessi's performance is lovely but Tebaldi makes her sound like a pop singer and she is nowhere near as moving as Renata was.
This is the "Maria Callas" RAI Television contest for new singers where a very young and so talented Daniela Dessì began her brilliant carrer. A comparison with the great Renata Tebaldi IMHO makes no sense at all . I agree that Daniela Dessì performance is lovely.
