Geetanjali was most definitely leaving him by the end of the movie. Only his kid came back to say a last goodbye. He neglected his own children just like his father neglected him. He became a monster, going against the world just to please his father who even at the end didn't love him. His wife will never look at him the same and will take the kids away from him to the U.S. An entire family-gangster nexus is now coming to destroy him. So yes, he lost everything by the end.

Your father is in the army , that doesn't mean you don't get the love your father. Whenever your father comes home he would be spending his time with you asking about your wellbeing and your future. But in the case of the movie Anil kapoor didn't accepted his mistakes as a father and always blamed his son for the mistakes he made. Free speech and freedom of expression in movies is a beautiful thing. But this is valid in a society where people are mentally, emotionally, socially and financially secure. In a country like India where people are uneducated even after going to school, they are irresponsible, they flout rules and regulations, they are financially challenged and even retort to petty and organised crimes, they don't understand basic civic systems. In such a society such movies become a further roadblock to social justice and influence such vulnerable people in a very bad way. Unless a society is developed such freedom of expression becomes a cause for further deterioration of the society.

People don't have problem with the movie or the character,...the problem is the makers shouldn't glorify such actions in a good light...the example you took of the movie 'dar' is completely different...the makers made sure ki SRK's character was in a negative role and hence the result was obvious bad in the end, he was shown as an EVIL not as a HERO. The problem is not that it shows human psyche and people understand. The problem is that it shows human psyche and people don't understand. People who trust Ranbeer and idolize him will take inspiration from the character. In India cinema is not just for entertainment. People also learn from it, the style of the hero, what they do and what they don't. This picturization can make someone justify some of his own behaviour....like if someone cheats his wife... just that particular part of this film will make them feel a little better...not justify but not stop as well. They will not think that whether their parent gave them time or not or they had tormented past. In this country where people follow the hairstyle and fashion of these people....entertainment is not just entertainment. If that was the case then there was no need of watching inspiring movies. People don't watch inspiring movies for entertainment they watch it to learn. All i will say is some picturization is best not shown on the screen even though its there in society....coz it may prevent someone to get inspiration. If there was 1 in 100 like this then after watching it there might be 2 in 100 and that's a loss. And to be honest, I have not heard of any case like this in society...who justifies all his vile actions in the name of love for father and to the extent of killing so many people. Then whom are your representing. If you want to entertain...maintain principles. Personally, i thought i wasted my 6 hours...3 hours in the film...and 3 hours recovering from such nonsensical idea.

You are right about his character but at the same time the viewers may not take it that way, the lines he use and the way his actions are in trend is so so wrong also the director of this movie definitely have similar thoughts in real life, one can see his interview and see through his real character.
That is why I think that its okay if people are continuously talking about the issues that are shown jn the movie so atleast some people can see and understand that movies and characters shouldn't be idolized specifically this kind of characters. Moreover kids in our country can be easily influenced because similar base thing happens in everyone's life, kids don't get appreciated and loved in proper way by parents and this may influence them to adapt bad things. Also the alpha thing and bringing the menstruation thing out of no where id so wrong also saying that men who are soft don't deserve love or respect is also wrong for the mindset of the people.
Except that I wasn't happy with action sequence where axe was used, it was not up to the par except that plot wasn't strong, he could have easily used different thing to find the truth instead of cheating or the doppelganger could have easily be saved and why would he even step out of the mansion if he was the target? Like what? The love angle between main leads is also fast paced so it didn't even looked natural, he told her some alpha and big ass thing and she ran away from her house leaving a happy future marriage? So I don't think it's the best, according to me it was maybe below average when it comes to the plot, or explanation of the character or some action sequences. The so called gore and masala was there with extra good budget and very strong base plot but in the end it was just average movie which is being over glorified.
I know some will say that it's a movie and they can't show a whole love story when it is not even the main part I understand that but it's just a weak point, they could have shown it in different way and light, also some may say that some things are unexplained and should be left like that and shouldn't be over analyzed and I get that but that what make it a normal movie with weak points which can be filled with some different scenes but anyways this is what I think.
In BOSS movie of akshay kumar story was also matching. He didn't get attention of the father but though he was respecting him. But the movie didn't shown any misleading content like murders of numerous people and any kind of feminism. Take fights as normal in current movies but the movie should strictly stop showing content which misguide today's generation with 18+ contents.

Ranbir is the best thing for Bollywood. From many flop movies in the past he’s giving 1000cr movie today with nicely enacted kissing scenes, sex scenes, full frontal nudity, he has shown underwear scenes as well as pubic hair scenes. In todays world there are millions of platform from which any teen/child/even adult can be wrongly influenced.(for ex wednesday was not for kids but was the series most watched by them only , even my cousin 12F had praises for stuff like that)

That´s why I and my husband consciously decided not to watch violent or any kind of movies that don´t resonate with our core values and since we are aware of how our psychology gets affected by what we consume daily. First of all, we all are different in our personalities and belief systems and that is all right. We are not necessarily targeting any one individual but the trend of such movies! And you are absolutely right, that the education of what is right and wrong has to come from our upbringing and we individually have to decide what we want to do as we have the free will to do so, at least in today´s world. But if there are people who are concerned and worried for our world, then they also have the right to raise their voices. See their intention for the greater good of all. Leaders like Gandhi, Lord Rama, Jesus, Buddha, Martin Luther. King, and so many other great beings in our history who raised their voices, and sacrificed their lives and as a result of those noble acts we can now have a much better life. So what people are doing in their small or big ways intending to bring a positive change in our society is also needed and appreciated. "It takes a village to bring up a child." - our environment is equally responsible (and not just what our parents are teaching us) at large on what kind of people we will become. It is a psychological fact and not a fantasy belief. Anyways, at least, this kind of discussion may positively influence those people who are completely unaware of how they are being programmed and how things are affecting them.
Agreed with some points but you're just replacing one nightmare from another in the name of entertainment . it is said that the cinema reflects the aspect of our society. So please🙏🙏 instead of justifying the commercialisation of this kind of voilent stuff you should have stand with the morality because eventually this kind of stuff will end as normal like trends.

I strongly feel that I will never go n watch extreme violence in the name of entertainment. Definitely people who are making it and those watching it, are in need of Violence as their entertainment. This only shows sickness of mind to be cleverly made as justified. I don't know why, south movies are too violent . This movie proves that it's been made by a south person.
