- As the smoke from the wildfires continue to blanket the prairies - the #RUclipsGOLD crew is hard at work. We continue our hunt towards our 1/2 oz of Gold for the season. I definitely have more respect for the Gold Miners of the world.. because even in 1/14th scale - this Sh!t is HARD! Krazy Joe and Rookie 101 are onsite today to give "Sluice box Steve" and I a hand. Sluice box is good on the controls - ut we have so much more we can do with new operators.
Are we going to find Gold?! Of Course! The true secret of this show - is nothing you see is "real". Everything is generally staged (well as much as we can plan when playing!), and though we are mining for real gold (yes it's real pay dirt), the true Gold is the experience we get as friends, what we hope the viewers get watching a couple of goofballs entertain you with some very cool toys. One mans hobby, is another's entertainment on RUclips! Now all I have to do is to continue learning how to sluice for Gold. We are all rookies, we have never mined before.. yet, I have always had a passion for Radio Control, and for finding Gold!

I am using the older style of excavator, the 870K wheel loader, the DXR2 Dozer, and the 797F Haul Truck. These machines are very impressive.. and VERY HEAVY! All metal, all around... True hydraulic systems that have ample power for your Radio control modelling needs.
I have always known that making a GOLD MINE would be possible with RC models.. and finally I get to realize this dream - even if the scale is all 1/14th in size!

OMG! This is one of your best series! So funny and the equipment is just awesome. I know so many of us wish we had the money to buy all that equipment, but hey seeing you guys doing what we all would do with it is just as good! Although I think a lot of that RC Construction equipment will/has gone into many a backyard garden :). Please don't stop until winter.

Definitely could watch that wheel isolate gold all day, looking forward to seeing the new conveyors in action as well. Maybe you could go with a bucket conveyor or trim down the sides a bit to allow some of the larger rocks fall over versus catching the belt, another awesome video congrats on more gold

Today a man that looks exactly like Sluice Box came into my work. I am talking exactly like him. Really wanted to ask him, but I felt so odd asking "is that you sluice box".

I would like to think that it wouldn't take me long to get used to that equipment, but then again all them switches, who knows. I remember my first ride in a dump truck, although it was leg powered! And called a Tonka. Just sit down and scoot around.

If you don't promote Sluicebox Steve to Supervisor Steve, then your whole operation is at risk of failure. Steve has been there since the beginning, and he has yet to miss a single day of work. I realize that promoting him will leave a gap in the hierarchy, which is why I would like to apply as a sluicebox operator. I have approximately fifteen minutes of experience in RC, and I know that gold is a shiny, yellow color. I feel that those strengths, along with my reputation of having been employed before make me a prime candidate to at least stand beside the sluicebox and act as though I know what I'm doing. Ok, new idea for an adult amusement park. Hear me out... Have a bunch of these mining set ups, all identical (same equipment), parties of 4 come in and look for gold. If there are multiple parties playing, whoever ends the day with the most gold wins some prize. You charge an admission price, they get to keep whatever gold they get. I know *I’D* pay $50 to spend a day playing with RC construction equipment and conveyors and water and all that!
