Hi Gormo, Another great video full of practical advice that we can ‘dip into’ and adapt for our our own layouts. I was particularly impressed by your end stop design as I’m looking for a method to apply to my own aluminium angle based cassettes. Also the simple but very affective handles. Whilst in this comment a bit of feed back from an earlier video on signal construction, if I may. Inspired by your design I constructed a two aspect signal but wired the 12v red and green LEDs ‘back to back’ and fed them with a pair of wires that have the polarity reversed by a sub-mini relay operated by a 12v dc coil from the aux switch on the point motor of an adjacent turnout that enable the UP line to be crossed over the Down main. I then wanted to turn this into a junction signal using a ‘feather’ indicator to control the route to the branch line, ahead of the crossover. To my delight I found the here in the uk ‘train tec’ market a feather kit that I assembled and glued to the top of the lens cover. It is illuminated by a set of tiny white LEDs pre-fitted to a strip that is enclosed in a black housing and lens cover. The LED strip is supplied with a 1K ohm. Resistor. To operate I initially energise the relay to switch the signal to red to protect the main line crossover ahead. When the branch route is selected a second relay reverses the signal to green and the feed to this 2nd relay coil is also wired to the feather and the white lights are illuminated too. All from your initial video that set my old brain cells into overdrive! With many thanks, Happy Modelling. T🚂
G`day Tony, Thanks for your comments and the heads up on the signal mods. You really have run with this and taken it to the next level........well done mate. All the best Gormo
