Bluetooth Audio for the kitchen without a speaker on the counter! - ZLINE Kitchen CrownSound

- My wife and I spent a considerable amount of time designing our kitchen. After all, it is the place our family congregates the most! From cooking to entertaining to doing home work and currently, the ever present working from home. Taking all of this into account, we wanted audio in our kitchen to listen to while cooking, entertaining and hanging out. However, we wanted to avoid having an additional devices sitting on the counter or the need to hard wire and integrated ceiling speakers at this time. In working with ZLINE Kitchens on this project, we learned about the CrownSound bluetooth speaker the recently released.
This snazzy little unit integrates into the existing chimney that is part of the ZLINE range hood. It is the perfect solution for what we were looking for at this time. With being integrated into the chimney of the range hood, the speaker disappears into the kitchen!
The speaker mounts to the ceiling in the same location the duct work exits through the ceiling so it makes it easy to add to any existing compatible ZLINE range hoods. The only additional item you need is a standard plug for the power source. Our range hood used a standard 3-prong 120Vac/15A circuit and outlet so adding the included plug-in power cord for the speaker was easy.
The sound quality is rather robust for the small drivers that it has. While there isn't a ton of low end, the vocals and high are nice and clear. This is really great for background music or even listening to podcasts while in the kitchen.

Which model number do you have...and so far how is the hood working out..I’m going to order one for my new home as well just want to make sure it’s worth spending the extra money in the Bluetooth one.
The hood itself is the 48" model of 697. The Crownsound model is CM6-BT-697. You can find them both at therangehoodstore.com.

Sorry, this is fully vented outside. However you can check ZLine's website for other hood options.
Can you hard wire in the island range hood? Can you hard wire in the sound system?
You can easily do so by cutting the end of the power cord and wiring it into a junction box.
Hi..is the color of the hood silver...or is it a darker silver? I want one but I’m looking to get black stainless steal appliances and I’m not sure silver hood will look good😫
It is standard stainless steel color. If you are going to get the black stainless range, I think they have a matching black stainless hood. Look on therangehoodstore.com/collections/black-stainless-steel-range-hoods
Yeah question. Does the speakers work well with the hood! You would tend to think it would be rattling. But what would someone come up with next with good idea on the speakers in the microwave hi dear blew me out of the park I'm Fenway❤ who would have thought Bluetooth was such a hit z-line
