Haha, I think we have the complete opposite driving styles, I love the Porsche and the Alpine! Though the Alpine is a little too intent on trying to kill me to do races on it, but it's such a fun challenge. Though I have to agree with you on liking the Mclaren too, I'm usually not keen on oversteery cars but the way it's keen to rotate into the corner in a nice controlled way is quite fun.
The road version of Alpine isn't front-engine. It's mid engine, hence why this car was so applauded when it came out. As for Porsche - Cayman doesn't exhibit rear-engine characteristics because it isn't rear-engined, it is also mid-engined like Alpine. Hence why you might not feel that 'Porsche' vibe. Great video though!
It is very highly regarded by those of who've driven it with its sublime chassis. With a quite similar lightweight philosophy to Lotus where they've gone to pretty crazy lengths to keep the weight down but is nice to live with. It's actually 300kg lighter than a Cayman S due to it mostly being aluminium and therefore as quick with a lot less power. Heck, it's also as quick as a portly BMW M2 competition (400kg heavier 😬)
Once you tune out the heavy uncontrollable oversteer when light braking through a mid-turn (super duper snap oversteer), the Alpine becomes the most funnest, friendliest, eager car in the game! That Alpine! So perfect! It makes me smile like no other car! I love it's lightness and bounciness! It is a natural lightfoot! It is so balanced! Just don't follow a slow car into a long turn, or you might spin out when not pushing. Only flaw. That, and it don't have HP, so just pathetic on straights. BUT I LOVE THIS CAR!!!!!!

Worst thing about the GT4 cars is the HP discrepancy... Like the Ginetta, Alpine and KTM are so underhorsepowered... But I Love the GT4 cars more than the GT3s. I just wish I could turn off the ratings so I can power slide like a madman!!!!
Nice video! As a V8 Supercars fan and driving those Australians beast on a daily basis in AC, AMS2 and competitively in iRacing, I am the most comfortable in the Maserati! I am a big fan of un assisted cars and my driving style suits the Maserati so well. ! I’ve ran a practice session on brands hatch with a « fast » track preset on a sunny day and left the car on the stable setup. Played with tire pressures and managed to clock a 1:32:451 without sliding much! The Maserati is a slow in fast out beast, turn in oversteer completely kills it’s lap times. Just bring the nose towards the apex and unleash the Italian V8 with great throttle control! Ran a couples of races online and never finished further than the podium! Never won one tho. I don’t think it’s a car to win races but it is definitely fast enough to have fun up front !
Out of all the GT4 cars, the one that impressed me the most was the Ginetta. I was surprised at how much confidence it gives you. As you said, it might not be the fastest on paper, but having such a neutral-feeling and confidence-inspiring car is great for racing as it really helps me not have to worry about wrestling the car, be consistent and capitalize on other drivers's mistakes. The 570S is still my favorite though.
Thats exactly why I have chosen the Ginetta for my Online Races at the moment. It is the best car for me to be consistent in and be somewhat quick. I noticed in my Tests that I may be faster with the Audi and Porsche (but not on every track) on a single lap. But I am not nearly as consistent in these both cars that in the Ginetta!
Yeah the Ginetta's great but it's not feasible on Paul RIcard or Bathurst. At Monza it'll buzz the limiter a bit on the main straight but it's quick enough in the corners to set competetive times.

Also dying to know your view setings, when i use that helmet view i get soo much movement.
Ermin is a great content creator with a unique standpoint and well worth watching. But informed and knowledgeable I'm not so sure. Not knowing where the engine is in the Alpine and Porsche and not being familiar with the KTM (its in PC2, Raceroom and AC) in this video and not knowing the Ginetta has no abs or tc in another recent video - I don't think this is his strength. For me its his honesty and not necessarily following the crowd.

Regarding the Camaro eating the curbs: its ride hight in the game (around 125 mm) is about 25 mm more than the AMG and 45-50 mm over the G55. Also I believe the longer wheelbase make it more poised over the bumpy stuff.
I think this video hits the spot for my style. The Porsche came up one of the top on some videos but it didn’t fit my style at all. I hated it I stopped even trying to improve. For me it was the McLaren, BMW, etc so it was nice to hear your thoughts on all the cars.
Nice video round-up. Pleasure to watch. The reason you're not getting the full-fat Porsche handling from the Cayman might be because - like the RSR in GTE class - it's mid-engined. Having expressed a penchant for mid-engined cars, I'm surprised you didn't like the Porsche more.

Kudos to the greatest sound engineer ever!!! I am the greatest racer ever!!!! I had this vid on 2x the entire way, cause no fuicking way I'm gonna waste 24 minutes on a youtube vid... Is it as great as a real TV show??? (well, maybe two 24 minute vids compressed into one...) Almost every vid taps out at 1.5 normal speed, but YOU have achieved the holy grail (only because youboote taps out at 2x... I have done 3x with post processing on CD quality audio...) Keep up the greatest audio on youtube! Much love from an audiophile.
FYI .. The Camarro ZL1 is surprisingly a REAL GREAT driver's car in real life.. great track focused car. Amazing handling. Complete surprise being an american muscle boat.
The alpha platform (which the Camaro rides on) is a solid chasis and has been used in GT3 racing as well as other forms of GT racing in the Camaro as well as the Cadillac ATS V GT3 car.
I'm not a very fast driver, usually a few seconds behind the average person in lobbies. But playing around with most of the GT4 cars I found the cayman to fit me the best. I don't think it's the most fun to drive (the ginetta is the most fun IMO)but I was pulling good lap times with it with little practice.
Although they are slower, I like the GT4 cars because they are very forgiving to raw drivers like myself: you can eat the curbs and throw them around mercilessly. The GT3 require "finesse" but we all know finesse is for pussies.
I drove the Camara at first because, you know, American muscle, not expecting it to be competitive. Surprisingly it was so I tuned it for a few tracks and now I'm experimenting with the Porsche and Mercedes. Great car pack and great racing online for the most part.
Haven't bought ACC GT4 yet, but I loved the vid, and am sure I'm sure I'll be comparing my lap times to yours very soon when I decide to purchase it. Fun to watch. Great Job!
They Alpines's handling characteristics described here are the same that are mentioned i a review video of the real car by a german car magazin, so i would say its pretty well modelled.
I think different cars are more or less suited for different tracks. At least for me that is the case. But also because the cars differ so much it is hard to jump between the different cars and set comparable times. I guess I have to give the McLaren another try.
Easy to say when gt3 is favoured lol. They both have pros and cons, it’s whether the pros of one outweighs the cons of the other. While I agree with most of your points, overall I would say AC is better than ACC. AC is easier to run without the need for a monster pc, the wide range of content caters for all driving types and styles. ACC is a very single market style sim. ACC feels better to drive, but that’s all RF2 has/had going for it, and that alone wasn’t enough to claim dominance of the sim community player numbers, so I’m not sure why ACC “feeling better than AC” is enough to say it’s OVERALL better. I don’t believe it is. Nice vid 👍, keep em coming.

Alpine is mid engine and as u said it isn't very good to drive. Aston is too soft in the corners Audi one of the best in straight and overall one of the best in gt4 class. Very good gear ratio! M4 is just awfull it doesn't go above 5 k rpm and it also have very bad brakes. I was suprised with camaro tbh. Good brakes , nice gear ratio. its heavy but nice to drive. Mclaren hmm its very fast but brakes not as good as Porsche. brakes bias is set for 60 and u cant change it. Gear ratio too long. Merc good brakes but its very tricky to drive because of too much torque. Porsche the best car in the corners. 11 setings for TC and ABS so nice and easy to drive in wet. But too long gear ratio :C
OMG! the GT4 pack is soooo guuuud!! the cars are so eager to slide! I mean! So slidey and fun! Like a GT3 will just bounce and 1% slide on a bouncy turn, but the GT4!! you bounce and SLIDE!!! The GT4 is so eager to slide!!! If you like a car twice as eager to slide as the GT3, then the GT4 pack is soooo guuuud! I feel the GT3's are too strict and let go too suddenly and catastrophically. But the GT4 cars broadcast like Kahwi Leonard's Toronto playoff 3 point game ending shot that took forever to fall... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH! (ploink!). I hope they release another GT4 pack with that Supra. Amen, brother.

i have like a top 4ish so far, in no real order 1. caymen 2. M4 3. camero 4. G55 kunos have hit it out of the park again with this one. also the camero really surprised the shit outta me with the way it handles and drives. a lot of fun and way less understeer. its a sleeper for sure.

The Ginetta handles great but lacks top speed. Try Conrad Straith at Bathurst and weep. You’ll be 20 kmh short in topspeed and that’s a lot

kunos have hit it out of the park again with this one. also the camero really surprised the shit outta me with the way it handles and drives. a lot of fun and way less understeer. its a sleeper for sure.
