Ganondorf's Custom Move Showcase Smash 4's Interesting Custom Moves

- Comment below if you want me to show off more Custom Moves in Short Form. I could for sure do it! Ganondorf with Custom Moves actually was not bad compared to his OG version of the character, his Down Special Custom Wizard Divekick is crazy good.
These Custom Moves were only in Smash 4, they were really hard to unlock, and I bet most people have no seen them in action, so here they are. They didn't make it to Smash Ultimate which is why I would say they are "Lost".

Wizards Drop Kick should have stayed in his moveset. Think about it, Palutena kept one of her custom specials, why not him too?
What move did she keep
@@RustyWallice Explosive flame
@@coomcharger6105 and the counter/reflect
@@atmylimitrgggh no just explosive flame, the reflect was her side b
Probably cos she was the inspiartion for customs and had a lot to draw from Uprising. Gonna assume they realised it would be way to much work to put that much effort into every character. so we got copy paste job for a lot of them.Add size, wind or electric and call it a day
I remember changing all of Ganondorf's moves to try to make him as different as possible from Captain Falcon. I ended up using Warlock Blade, Flame Chain, Dark Fist, and Warlock Dropkick.
Same!
I legit mained Gandondorf with that moveset BECAUSE it was different enough from Captain Falcon.
Flame Choke was already quite different from Captain Falcon, but big W man.
I just wish he kept Warlock Drop kick so baaaaaad
it was fun to use, improves the character, AND makes him more unique
I just wish Warlock dropkick stayed, it has such great utility on a character desperate for it, even in Ultimate.
Agreed, its so good LOL. It might be a little busted, but it would keep Ganon from being a low tier for games in a row.
@@ZachHonest Also Dark Fist had super armor and KO'ed super early so I hope that was also preserved
Man, I miss custom moves, would be super fun in Ultimate
Imagine if they redid it.
Mario casually using his up special to summon the owl from mario 64. When above the enemy meteor smashing it into the ground with the statue from the tanooki leaf. As down special and while the enemy is burried can mario charge up his hammer from the mario and luigi rpg games but failing to time it so he hit only with a stick. The enemy this time being luigi gets up from the ground and charges an electric blast from the rpg games which mario counter with his spin from mario galaxy.
Instead being a slower version of a different character, he be his own character which is better
@@alexjackyperson101he is decently different from falcon now, especially with his sword
@@garrettcooper58you’ve just got some low ass standards for him cause in a world where his design isn’t shit he would be nothing like falcon
I played custom gannon when they where legal in smash 4. wizard dropkick made him an actual character.
All of his customs are so badass.
Right! Its either bad or ass
Custom moves tournaments where something else as it completely broke the title it was fun to watch, however it was layer dropped due to players having to unlock everything with the limited Wii U systems and not being to transfer saves and plus individuals just did not want to compete since it was heavily broken and the DLC characters where at a heavy disadvantage.
Watching Villagers camp the whole match with tripping saplings and DKs spamming the DK nado wasn't fun to watch
??? It was totally not fun at all 💀
Sapling tripping villager is such a bore fest and if you didn’t main sheik you were waiting 7 minutes
Wizards dropkick under the right circumstances gave Ganon an actual way to recover. He needed this move so bad.
I don’t like to hear tip and thrust in the same 5 seconds lol 💀
Good fn job
What about "sword," "entrails," and "coup de grace"?
@@khajiitimanus7432Twins main
@@AubergineMans huh? What "twins" are you referring to? I don't play smash, lmao
@@khajiitimanus7432 Dead by daylight twins
I miss this.
*Foot Dive*
FOOT DIVE!!!
I wish they kept custom moves because it added a little bit more difference between opponents and I'm sure the right moves could make for great combos if they carried on with some more new move choices
Wizards drop kick is also good because it can be used for recovery
Dark Fist up B’s super armor comes out really quick so he actually has a good OOS option
Warlock Blade's better than Warlock Punch in my opinion, since not only does the better range help, the tipper can break full shields.
Bruh, warlock blade is ganon's best custom move, its faster than warlock punch, deals massive damage with the tip and also is a shield breaker.
Warlock Punch should've been changed to Warlock Slash in Ultimate
Nah
This games graphics still hold up
You need to make more of these
I gotchu, there's gonna be a customs short on Mario. Its already finished actually, you'll see it next week
TFW Warlock Sword make Ganondorf pseudo-Marth
The ideal Ganondorf special moveset imo and what I always use for Ganon on Wii U is:
Neutral: Warlock Punch
Side: Flame Choke or Flame Chain (I prefer Flame Chain but both are cool)
Down: Wizard's Dropkick
Up: Dark Fists
These should've been the normal specials for Ganondorf tbh, they benefit him so much
I am loving these videos detailing the characters custom moves T^T I miss this feature
Man, custom moves were so much fun
Custom moves were a great idea, it was just a bad idea having them be unlockable
Never knew how much I needed Charlie from Smiling Friends talking about Smash 4 custom moves until now
I remember people got excited with Warlock Blade because Ganondorf finally used a sword.
Warlock blade was pretty useful imo, the range was what mattered
Custom moves should be in every smash ngl
9:30 That edit though 😂😂😂😂
The custom moves make smash for my second favorite smash game tbh. I just love customization and spirits dont have the same effect for me.
I love smash 4 custom moves and I wish they hadn't removed them from ultimate
Warlock Blade should’ve been his Neutral B in Ultimate, they could made it a bit better and it would’ve been dope 👌👌👌
My tip does the most amount of damage on my thrust too. I get it
😭😭😭
Darkfist was great at anti-edge guards. your second hook’s hit box would come up from under the stage ledge 👌🏼
Warlock thrust Had very good Range and Hit incredibly hard especially at the sweet spot albeit Not as hard as Warlock Punch. But I think the increase in Range and it being more unique and actually referencing the Game that the Ganondorf model comes from makes this by far the best Version of His neutral b in any Smash Game. Yeah, in Ultimate He also uses His sword, and in Generally more effective and more versatile ways, however, that sword comes from a Zelda Tech Demo from the Gamecube and can only vaguely and speculatevly be connected to the Games.
Flame wave is pretty good - aerial version has so much kill power, while dark fists is basically Ganondorf taking lessons from Akuma
Dude, Warlock Blade was an awesome move. What it lacks in power, it makes up for in speed, range, and shield breaking potential.
Ganondorf is a warlock? Is his patron Demise? Woah.
A guy who uses witchcraft, Warlock.
Oh yeah custom moves. I mean i get why they didnt come back but man did it add some variety to smash.
Dark fists is the only custom that should have been made his official up b, it was literally better in every way.
Wizard dropkick as well
@@AubergineMansdropkick was more preference, u got better mobility on the ground for sure but u lose the very early kill power abd anti air function and spike of the standard
@@williamwest9204 You get a recovery mixup. That instantly makes it the best down B
I know flame wave is slow and jank and can’t do tech chases, but it’s such a funny way to end someone’s stock. It has strong knock back I personally enjoy the “slow but hit hard” aspect. Kinda like Full attack charizard’s blast burn dealing like 30% to himself but 55% to someone else killing at 30% lmao. It’s slow, doesn’t go far but the frame startup is the same as flare blitz so using it point blank isn’t the worst idea. I just love how polarizing and fun the custom move sets were and SSBU spirits could never compare SSB4’s custom moves.
Wizard dropkick was kinda busted both as a huge recovery boost and it could ledge cancel
I wish you could still customize movesets in ultimate
People shit on smash4, but I loved it a lot for these cool features
I would think custom moves would come back in a new smash game since I would assume the roster would be heavily revamped.
This would have been such a cool feature if it hadn't been banned in all major tournament settings.
Let's be real. Custom moves were such a cool addition to the series. Could you imagine them being more balanced and offering custom kits for characters? They could really develop the idea into something major for the series
These custom moves were awesome, should kept some and rebalanced most, stuff like that wouldve been sweet for longevity
the blade is actually kinda good, breaks shields very easily and has insane range
It would be really cool if some of your footage in these was from the 3DS version (even if it's just Citra or something)
I wish they would’ve kept dark fist. The same way they did with Palatina and gave her all her custom moves
It's wild they spent so much time on this dead-on-arrival custom special feature
In hindsight, while I was also in this camp, I find it funny but also kinda sad that the competitive scene just decided to ban custom moves without giving them a chance. We were like, "yeah, we're not learning this jank, lmao", but imagine how different the game might've evolved if we did...
Correct me if I’m wrong but impaling someone down to the hilt with a sword would probably mess them up a lot more than a light jab, yes?
The dropkick was fire asf, kinda wish it was kept for Ult tho i understand why it wasn’t.
I just want wizkick to be aim-able like Sephiroth Up B.
Would anyone be mad if his moveset in ultimate was Warlock blade, Dark fist, Flame chock and Wizard's drop kick? One of nintendo's greatsest villains is still a Captain falcon clone 4 games in? why? That's mighty disrespectful, but if that has to be the case, shouldn't the specials be as different as possible? I prefer this to what he currently has.
Either Sakurai is lazy or he doesn’t like change. You pick.
@Brandon Rios I think the truth is a bit of both. The developers realize that not every character "needs" to have a cohesive moveset that gives them a functional role as a character, and they also probably fear backlash if they change "too much". Personally, I think the only way for the series to advance after Ultimate is with a reboot that cuts a ton of characters and does a lot of work redesigning and refining the movesets of the characters that remain. Think about how much attention and work was clearly put into so many of the DLC characters, and how unique most of them feel--I think it's time for the core cast to get that same level of attention.
@@flip.flap. I think it's time for that, which sucks because my mains will probably be deleted but, I don't think it's right for the king of darkness to be disrespected this. I'm hoping echo fighters are a way this can be done, so that they can hold onto what people like about the characters already and can make those changes the core cast deserves.
THE TIP
Ayo thrust
This is what me and my friend group did we didnt care about comp we balled out our characters
I kind of wish someone would make a mod that rebalances the custom moves because that was one of the best ideas that Smash 4 brought to the table. I wish ultimate would have attempted the same ideas that were in Smash 4 because they weren't bad. Ultimate could have fleshed them out, but they ultimately abandoned them, which sucks considering how the game outright replaces 4 for most people.
I'd be down with custom moves again if they were more references to the character. Like what if Samus had a Power Bomb down B? What if she had a shinespark up B? What if she had a speed booster side B? What if she had ALL HER FUCKING BEAMS IN NEUTRAL B
I definitely remember the sword from his custom moves. I'm glad that and smash ultimate for once they made him more different than Captain falcon by actually including the sword in his smash attacks. Honestly though it doesn't make any sense that ganondorf is a clone of Captain falcon. They're both from completely different series and ganondorf is from a fictional world that takes place in the distant past while Captain falcon is from the distant future. They really should just add another fighter from F-Zero. Maybe Black Shadow I think is the name of the villain and have him have a slower more powerful moves. Give Gannondorf his entirely own moveset
I definitely don't agree with Warlock Blade being worse than Warlock Punch. Just being that much faster gives it more use cases, whereas having actual power puts it above Warlock Thrust, which sure it's faster, but it also does like nothing even when you do land it.
warlock blade can break shield... and has a larger hitbox, can cover up dodge/rolls, how is it worse than Warlock punch.
I keep forgetting Ganon is a Wizard that can also punch really hard. I wish I could had seen him whoop Harry Potter's ass in a magic shootout lmao
Wizard Assult sounds like somthing a D&D bard would go to jail for
Please bring back custom moves in smash6. It should be more doable considering I doubt they are going to try and have EVERY smash character again for two games straight.
Question: with the kick variant moves (⬇️+Special), do any of them change if you use the move on the ground? Like, any differences in range, stun or utility of the horizontal kick that comes out?
I loved custom moves
Warlock blade was way better than warlock punch. Faster startup, much longer range, and the sweetspot can fully break shields, while still having super armor on it. Still not an amazing move, but it at least has much more use cases than warlock punch.
Wizard Drop Kick is a dope ass name
Now I need to go back and play smash 3ds because I forgot about custom moves
"the tip doing the most amount of damage" 💀
yes
I really have not made the most out of Smash 4. Never really got to delve into custom moves
One of the worst moves ?
Yoshi slow egg with super armor custom move : Let me introduce myself
I wish Ganondorf was not a copy of C. Falcon 😢
Yo are you nuts warlock thrust breaks shields giving you time to cave in their forehead
I so badly wish this made it into utimate
At least Ganon’s not nearly as slow, stiff sluggish as he was back on brawl.
BRING. CUSTOM. MOVES. BACK.
jesus christ why did they abandon this idea-
I wish they would've kept the custom movesets in Ultimate.
Even tho dude fit he still look chubby in that Ant Man costume.
Dark kick was broken and it edge canceled
Warlock blad is literally better
Sure it kills late. Ok? Hit three nairs. Plusnit covers more range
"warlock blade is not nearly as good as warlock punch"
Completely false. It gives ganon a shield break very similar to marth. Nuff said
Village rocket spam all the way
So warlock blade does less damage than the punch?, But he has a fuckin sword what kind of sense does that make?
Bro ultimate missed out on variations
Ronald McDonald killed grimace is father oficer bigmac and captain crook the filarho fish guy
They should of kept this in ultimate
They made him too playable. That or he missed the bottom rung from Brawl so much in Ultimate
grabemdorf
It's very risky-
Why don't we have these anymore? Useless removal
And somehow Rickles breaks this character
Warlock Thrust is pitiful
It's still absurdly slow, way too slow to actually use, and is laughably weak for a Ganon move
Honestly I’m so glad they went back to Ocarina’s design for Ganondorf.
TP Ganondorf looks so goofy and ugly instead of intimidating and evil.
Why you keep interrupting yourself lol
