For me Super-Villains was the first Lego DC game to match the greatness of the original Lego Marvel in terms of the roster and the variety of classic DC locations in the story. Plus it helps that I'm a huge D&D nerd and Matt Mercer voices my favorite character Nightwing lol
My first LEGO game was Batman 2, and it is still one of the greatest LEGO games in my opinion. The hub world is decently large, there’s a decent amount of stuff to do, and even thought the roster is small they really make the most out of what they had with some really cool stuff. I liked how if you wanted to unlock a villain you had to do a mini bossfight. I also think that the story is the best out of any original lego story. It genuinely had me laughing at some of the jokes which is rare for me. The joker was especially charismatic as well and the level design was immaculate. Also it gets extra points for being the first lego game to have an open world and voice acting. I personally like the grunts more but if I had to choose between grunts and voice acting that is at the same level of Batman 2, I would choose Batman 2. I don’t think there is an issue with voice acting itself, but that they lost that signature lego comedy that the grunts had. Lego Batman 2 proves this because it kept the same comedy while offering a more in depth story and some genuinely funny lines. You guys should leave any arguments, agreements, or you’re personal first lego game and why you love it in the responses. I’m curious to see what you guys think.
Yeah you make some great points lego Batman 2 is definitely an all time great lego game, one of the best even to this day. Might have to give it a replay one of these days :)
@@cloudpanda74 you definitely should, I replayed it for the first time in years recently and that’s what prompted me to write that. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised
I think lego avengers had the best hub worlds. You had manhattan from lego marvel 1. Then on top of that you had smaller iconic locations such as Washington dc, asgard, Malibu etc. Also I think lego dc had the better story before they has way better voice actors. An actual story that flowed really well. Lego marvel 2 story was very choppy and didnt have you dealing the main antagonists until the end. Lego dc story had more twist and it built to fighting the main antagonist at the halfway point then after defeating then revealing a twist of the real villain. Plus lego dc story was based on an adaptation of a comic book story which was very cool.
Silent Gamer Yh marvel was better when they took the “less is more” approach. Even though lmsh2 hub world is way larger, Lego avengers felt bigger because it’s a giant manhattan instead of a mini version of it and a bunch of mini versions of other cities
Both are great games I’m going to have to go with dc villains because of the plot twist customization and how well the story flowed and how it always made sense and you knew why you were doing what you have to do in each level
I agreed with most of the points except for the roster section. I believe that Lego DC Supervillains had the better roster because of two major reasons. 1: The roster is the perfect size. Marvel 2 I felt had TOO big of a roster and too many obscure characters as filler while DC Supervillains had the perfect roster size and full access to all of the characters you'd want to play as which brings me to my next point. 2: No X-Men or Fantastic 4 in Marvel 2. I guess this is more of a critisizm of Marvel 2's roster. Part of the reason why so much of the roster felt like obscure filler was because of the exclusion of those two properties. So many characters from those franchises could have taken the places of characters such as M.O.D.A.M (dunno if I got it right but basically girl M.O.D.O.K) and the Red King guy...(I can't remember most of their names(exactly why they're filler!)) and they could have been replaced with icons such as Wolverine, Dr.Doom, Mr.Fantastic, and Magneto.

I think one cool way to advance the customizer past DC Supervillains would be to have the choice to use any preexisting character animations, so like if you wanted Batman's animation you could just apply it to your custom character also if you could have voices from preexisting characters as well. There's also a ton of options to advance the choices for color picking. But yeah I love DC Supervillains because of its awesome Character Customization
Lego DC Villains is way better for me, I haven’t played lego Marvel Superheroes 2 since I completed the game 100% while I still play Lego DC villains all the time because I love making OC custom characters and playing with them in the story mode and in the hub world
I think DC Supervillains should take the win on the Roster section- yes it has les characters, but they are almost all unique and feel great to play as- whereas with Marvel Superheroes 2 many characters you will check out once upon unlocking, and never go back to them.
LEGO Marvel superheroes 2 didn’t have speedsters and to be honest speedsters was the thing I was looking for the most but sadly they didn’t add them and so my vote goes to LEGO dc super villains

@@ghostlegit ah, that's great. My apologies, your comment came of a bit strange in my mind amd I interpreted it as you not knowing about Lego Star Wars games, again, sorry for bothering you.
you forgot one minor flaw in the lego dc super villains customizer, the custom character are slower than the normal characters, when in lego marvel super heros 2 they're the same speed
The side characters in dc villians were well written and can recognize most of them and the was a really good plot where in the end your custom character basically becomes a god. But lego marvel 2 just had way to many side characters that only made a cameo and had no importance to the story like there is a level dedicated to squirrel girl and the levels suck they dont give you a experience and are just trying to be average and not great. So what I'm saying is that dc villians perfected everything that superheros 2 did wrong
They are both the same but it really depends on the one your more into Marvel or DC depending on the one you like more ofc you’re going to pick that one
Honestly, I think Super Villans is the better one. Hear me out. You get to make and be your own villan, and in the HUB world you can actually get chased by cops. And alot of amazing characters and secret ones. Like Killer Croc or Red Hood. And expanding the map so you could go to Apokalypse. Honestly they missed out on one thing. Batmans grappling hook. On the PS4 you should press X twice like Spider-Man but with a longer wait and a different sound effect. DC's boses are more fun. And Super Heros 2 missed out on alot of Heros. Likes the X-Men the first one was more flexible and more like marvel comics. Unlike Avengers and Super Heros 2. You could have so much fun and never get bored. But in the second one it's more fun with the dlc's because of the plain feeling kinda. The maps and multiverse is nice but it's not like Lego Dc Super Villans 2. Of course it had fun mini games but it's just joking most of the time. And in the story it's nice and enjoyable it's joking and serious. And it has very good voice actors like Tera Strong ect. And the didin't take out important and very noticeable characters. And there game isn't based on the cinematic universe. And has the Comic vibe. And a little of that cinematic feeling. Like they have a CW and Young Justice DLC. And they don't make like a 50 dollar dlc for a character you can get in the previous game for free. (Talking about Thanos) And they made clever jokes. And in the customization you can use NPC'S pieces like Granny Goodness knit warriors. So that's why I think it's a better game.
Supervillains!!!! Especially for roster cause like he said is missing the fantastic four and x men also at least we got Batman, like who cares about other styles
I would choose lego dc super villans overall but for some reason I have been noticing that LMSH2 and LDCSV have bugs that still need to be worked on but overall their good games

When it comes to characters DC super villains actually has more the number is 270 when DLC is included. Marvel super heroes 2 has 191. I feel there should have been a DLC category for this battle too
Thanks for explaining that the X-men and fantastic 4 aren’t in Lego marvel superheroes 2. I just purchased the collection for my birthday. And started with marvel superheroes 1. It’s kind of a bummer the x men aren’t in the game in particular. They are my favorite part about marvel.
I’m a marvel fan and love the lego games but personally the gameplay the levels and even the open world and characters are better in lego DC supervillains I hope they make a second game it’s way better than Beyond Gotham
While I'm more of a DC fan, and I love Darkseid as a villain, especially when he's voiced by Michael Ironside, I have to say that Kang the Conqueror was a better villain. Darkseid didn't show up until the last 4 or 5 levels of the story, while Kang was present throughout all of Lego Marvel Superheroes 2. That gave us more time to learn about Kang and understand his character. They also managed to make Kang funny, which they tried with Darkseid at the end of DC Super Villains' story, but it just didn't work.
i need a third lego marvel super herods with all characters. xmen fantastic 4 and all others. speedsters too ofc, i need that. a great good map, good storyline and nice level, good exploring. like just put all marvel games together and you will have a (atleast almost) perfect legi video game everyone loves. PLEASE LEGO PLEAE
To be honest I dont think you can compare any lego games from dc or marvel because each game in my eyes when It.frist released brought something new to the lego games
On Nintendo eshop the deluxe edition of both with all of the dlc is on sale until today but it also happens every other month i got lmsh2 deluxe edition for $11.24 yesterday through there
Both are on sale right now (Nintendo switch), but I’m not sure if you still want it or if u already made your choice I’m sorry if I’m being to annoying
I honestly really don’t like marvel 2’s hub. It’s so big and there’s so many places that it’s not very focused. They should have cut out places like Egypt and put more focus into the other places, as well as making them all a bit bigger
3:00 ok Batman looks kinda scary rn Not gonna lie, choosing Characters section should be for PC kinda bigger, I mean, it could be easier to choose character if u Play on gaming laptop
Lego dc probably but I personally prefer Lego marvel super hero’s 2 just cause I’m a huge marvel fan and I really enjoyed the story mode and all the characters 😂 but with that being said Lego dc is just better in most aspects story’s good lots of characters as well, fine hub world I suppose and the best customizer of any Lego game
They are both on sale right now for me in UK both 12.99 but I can only get 1 for now as just got Far cry 6 as well but I really dont know what one. I like marvel ones better but the DC looks like it really good this time for LEGO game but I think I might go with the super heroes one as like you said in the vid I dont really like the dark Gotham maps never liked them on batman ones so think this is what is making me go super heroes as just dont like the Gotham setting. It is a hard decision as the both of them are hardly on sale much and full price is way to much for me so I will have to get DC on on the next sale but will be a long time for it again.
I haven't played Lego DC villains, but here's my take From an anesthetic standpoint Lego Marvel wins by far, but from a Gameplay standpoint Lego DC wins

I’m a marvel fan and love the lego games but personally the gameplay the levels and even the open world and characters are better in lego DC supervillains I hope they make a second game it’s way better than Beyond Gotham
That's good to know because I loved Beyond Gotham. Just bought DC Supervillains on Nintendo Switch. It's downloading now and I'm so excited!
@@dhrgkbqxtjr2743 Have fun, it’s a great game
For the people what is best lego marvel super heroes 1,lego marvel avengers or lego marvel super heroes 2
I want to get either one for my nephew but I don’t know which one can some of u guys help me choose
They’re both great games, depends on wether or not your nephew prefers marvel or dc 😁
Sellki theyre on sale often check
Thanks for making this video. I think I'm going to buy lego DC supervillains
reason
@@codename-abdullah because of the story and to check out the customization
And because I've already played lego marvel superheroes 2
@@skull1887 Yes bro u r right i hav both the gamea but i like DC because of JOKER,BATMAN,SUPERMAN,GREEN LANTERN,SHAZAM AND BLACK ADAM
And also because of the graphics i think its better in LDCSV as its the latest game.......
What Better Main Anntagonist Kang Or Darkseid
While I'm more of a DC fan, and I love Darkseid as a villain, especially when he's voiced by Michael Ironside, I have to say that Kang the Conqueror was a better villain. Darkseid didn't show up until the last 4 or 5 levels of the story, while Kang was present throughout all of Lego Marvel Superheroes 2. That gave us more time to learn about Kang and understand his character. They also managed to make Kang funny, which they tried with Darkseid at the end of DC Super Villains' story, but it just didn't work.
One thing that this game does better than Marvel doesn’t do accessible powers they need to add that for every game because it makes it fun
LEGO DC super villains is the best in my opinion
The 3 Lego Marvel games VS DC villians game?
They are both on sell for $1.99 on eshop right now . Digital copies
I loved marvel superheroes 2 but I grew up with batman, so you know what I'm choosing
I'd argue that the supervillains hub is so much better cos it's a fully articulate Gotham and metropolis so uno
It's ironic he said that he hoped for better customisation in the next game but instead there was no Customsation at all
Dc Supervillains was better game.
Hopefully I'm getting it
Wonder if we’ll get a LEGO DC Superheroes and a LEGO Marvel Supervillains.
i need a third lego marvel super herods with all characters. xmen fantastic 4 and all others. speedsters too ofc, i need that. a great good map, good storyline and nice level, good exploring. like just put all marvel games together and you will have a (atleast almost) perfect legi video game everyone loves. PLEASE LEGO PLEAE
As a Huge Marvel fan I Choose DC Supervillains
DC Comics are better, but Marvel movies are better.
I want a customiser animation that makes you elastic, so you bounce as you step, etc.
Yeah that would awesome :)
Been playing lego incredibles?
For the people what is best lego batman 1 2 or 3 or lego dc supervilliains
Hi and do you have Twitter?😃
No I’m afraid not😅
To be honest I dont think you can compare any lego games from dc or marvel because each game in my eyes when It.frist released brought something new to the lego games
A shame most the lego games never go on sale with dlc included. Maybe I'll buy them in a future lego game collection.
On Nintendo eshop the deluxe edition of both with all of the dlc is on sale until today but it also happens every other month i got lmsh2 deluxe edition for $11.24 yesterday through there
It’s on sale now
Both are on sale right now (Nintendo switch), but I’m not sure if you still want it or if u already made your choice I’m sorry if I’m being to annoying
On sale right now!
I honestly really don’t like marvel 2’s hub. It’s so big and there’s so many places that it’s not very focused. They should have cut out places like Egypt and put more focus into the other places, as well as making them all a bit bigger
I think dc wins easily but both are amazing and i can play em whenever i feel dc or marvel characters
Omg its smackdown vs raw
But which one should I get I love both but I can only get one
3:00 ok Batman looks kinda scary rn
Not gonna lie, choosing Characters section should be for PC kinda bigger, I mean, it could be easier to choose character if u Play on gaming laptop
I love Marvel better than DC but I have to go with ldsv better because it has better customs, frames, and details
Witch one would you recommend to someone who has only played one Lego game all the way through
Lego dc probably but I personally prefer Lego marvel super hero’s 2 just cause I’m a huge marvel fan and I really enjoyed the story mode and all the characters 😂 but with that being said Lego dc is just better in most aspects story’s good lots of characters as well, fine hub world I suppose and the best customizer of any Lego game
Thanks
BOTH GAMES ARE GREAT! BUT IF YOU HAD TO CHOOSE ONE WHICH WOULD IT BE! 😁👍
Kansas Marvel I think superheroes 2 is better but as soon as The Skywalker Saga comes out there would be no comparison
Kansas Marvel I think it gotta be Lego dc super villains cause their costumizers are better
Lego DC Supervillains
I will choose Lego DC super villians
Marvel 2
They are both on sale right now for me in UK both 12.99 but I can only get 1 for now as just got Far cry 6 as well but I really dont know what one. I like marvel ones better but the DC looks like it really good this time for LEGO game but I think I might go with the super heroes one as like you said in the vid I dont really like the dark Gotham maps never liked them on batman ones so think this is what is making me go super heroes as just dont like the Gotham setting. It is a hard decision as the both of them are hardly on sale much and full price is way to much for me so I will have to get DC on on the next sale but will be a long time for it again.
I just bought both games with both season passes for $25 on the switch
I haven't played Lego DC villains, but here's my take
From an anesthetic standpoint Lego Marvel wins by far, but from a Gameplay standpoint Lego DC wins
Alot of people ironically say the style of villains is way better and one of the best Lego games in general
I'm going to be getting dc supervillains
Imagine they collab
I aint gonna lie hub world in lego MS2 is bad its just the way that every thing is mixed in together doe the that you can go in space that was just too cool
Yeah it feels empty their are some cool locations but overall not a big fan. Hopefully next time they get it right.
I would say Marvel is better if it wasn’t impossible to drive a vehicle
What
Umm do you not know whag the games about?
@@Frankely2tog what are you on about
C'mon lego make lego marvel vs dc an official game
Does Lego Marvel Superheroes 2 have 4 player Co-op?
In the battle arena mode I believe so :)
Customized:DC
Hub-World:DC
Roster:Marvel
Story:Marvel
Game modes:Marvel
The winner is
Marvel
StarkillerIsTheBestStarWarsCharacter 3 BBY story is dc
Mason Games it’s my opinion
no opinion of rest better
Dc
HelloThere 212 No, the winner is people’s opinions, what I mean is that you like marvel the winner is marvel for u, I like dc, the winner is dc for me.
For Nintendo Switch, is it possible to play these games with 1 joy con
I’m not sure I don’t have a Nintendo switch, sorry bout that. :)
@@cloudpanda74 It's Ok man I only have one joy con because my other one broke, but I can still work with it
Oh ok nice 😁
Are they both 2 player coop? Someone please help my kids are bored being stuck in. Thanks
Yes they are both 2 player coop😁
The deluxe edition is on sale for $13 on PSN :)
