Help me out please I had surgical AI and my plan was to start taking her to the vet on day 60 but of course on a Sunday she started having puppies on her own on the 59th day. She had 5 puppies naturally and the 5th one didn’t make it because she took a break from having them. That’s when I had time to take her to emergency vet and they took out last 3. How do I avoid this with her again?

@LoveMyPups the only labor behavior my Fawn showed was her temperature drop. She was not panting, she wasn't showing any nesting signs nor was she shivering. Within 2 hours temperature dropped from 99.2 to 98.4. I was advised to take her to the vet asap. When I got there her reverse PG was at .8. Within the next hour she had 3 healthy puppies.

Hi James got my first progesterone test for my English bulldog on day 8 and we’ve got a 5ng/ml and we’ve done the second progesterone test on day 10 and we’ve got a reading of 17ng/ml. So we did an AI on that day (day 10) then repeat AI on day 12 and maybe probably if the owner of the stud dog will allow us to have a third session it will be done on the day 14. My question is in order for me to have a good chance of excellent litter survival how do I start counting till I can say that my bulldog is now ready to give birth to a healthy litter. Is it 60 days from the first AI or 63 days after the first AI??? Thank you James
Can a dog have a natural birth 1 and a half years after a c-section..? The only reason she had a c-section the first time was because the person who had her before me got impatient… the vet told me she should have no problem giving birth to them cause they not that big.. but idk if I should try and let her have them naturally or schedule a c-section..

Well I got the x ray done like on day 55 they o my saw one thats maybe 2 or 3 but definitely small litter is that why she’s not ready you think ? I was thinking about that and they also said she might not have gotten pregnant right away that sperm can last about a week before she gets pregnant
I had a litter born on easter sunday , 2 pups came out healthy and natural i needed a c section after that and lost all the pups in mom , paid 3.5k on the surgery. She was in labor over 24 hours . (8 yr old pitbull terrier 3rd litter)
