No she crushed the glasses because Victoria was actually scared of her. Breaking the glasses would in turn make it to where Victoria wouldn’t be able to see her. There for indeed inverting her back to the state of wild

From the way she moves, the was she sounds, and her distinct abilities and appearence. Even watching this on it's slowest speed, no headphones, reduced volume the jump scares still make me feel fear.

Wow really! I've had nightmares just like this too! When I was younger I had nightmares about my Mom and my Aunt chasing me into corners and they were scary. I called them scary Auntie Kelly dreams and scary Mom dreams. In those dreams they had gray skin and even though they were my Mom and my Aunt they also weren't at the same time. Very seldomly I'd dream about a scary Grandma Jan.

A friend of mine wanted to play Minecraft with me but he had just gotten home and he was tired so he got bummed out since he might fall asleep. I sent him this video. About 45 seconds later he responds with “well I ain’t sleeping tonight. Minecraft time!”
This is absolutely terrifying but when you think about it Mama is a manipulative and severely possessive mom who will do whatever it takes to get her babies back. Sick and twisted, yes, but that’s the essence of what’s happening.
It was hard watching this film at first. I had not heard of Jessica Chastain too much. Then when I saw her unwelcoming the girls in that small welcome scene, I was like, oh, man. Then when this scene comes in, I am like, I just wish she would have been more unlikeable to have Mama suck the force out of her for real. It would have been like two mother figures fighting for the girls. But it still worked out. I liked Crimson Peak, which came out later, 'cause I felt Jessica was meant for that kind of role. It fits her well.

Mama is the type of movie that the concept is warm hearted and emotional, but they way it is put together is absolutely terrifying.

Lily warming her hands with her breath just like Annie taught her is such a nice detail. It really shows how she was also slowly connecting to Annie.
