- The A303 is a busy trunk road running for 95 miles/153km from the M3 just to the west of Basingstoke in Hampshire, to the A30 in the Blackdown Hills in Devon. It forms the largest part of the main London to Exeter trunk road, linking the capital to the south-west of England, and it can get extremely busy and congested in the summer months. Much of the road has been upgraded to high-standard dual carriageway, but several single carriageway sections remain as bottlenecks, including a section running past the ancient Stonehenge site.
This video shows a westbound journey along the A303, from the junction with the B3092 between Mere and Zeals, to the junction with the A371 and B3081 at Wincanton.
