I rediscover Journey since this guy came on for Steve Perry. Awesome voice with some touch of Bryan Adams voice. Didn't know Journey had so many songs, if not for this guy I would not have known. The voice is insanely awesome!!

Arnel Pineda set up a foundation to help street kids and homeless . He did this in return of him being a homeless teen before . Pineda had a decent home to live now. Some of his earnings goes to the education of his relatives and some goes to a foundation.
Steve I believe left the group in 1996 - he was already 46 then. So many are still blabbing about Steve returning to tour with Journey - you guys are forgetting that he is now 72 and had a problem with his hips. Journey's songs, shows are suited for more agile performers. Steve's legacy will remain but his time has passed. Journey is just extending time to the band's life - they're all seniors now, and are all ready to retire. so enjoy the final moments with Arnel (the life support) of Journey now..
So much great music. I was so lucky to grow up with Journey on the radio. Arnel isn’t Steve, but who could be? He does an amazing job singing timeless music.

Born and raised Hoosier here. 8 yrs ago my wife and I were standing in the front row experiencing this fantastic band! We've seen them live 3 times at 3 different venues. At 61 yrs of age Journey has never disappointed. This day, within the confines of the greatest spectacle in racing has left a lasting memory! Thanks for sharing! 🏁🎶🎵

Well, that's Journey.. The band and that's Arnel and he wouldn't mind being called just a tribute singer and proud and grateful for he is now. I saw them play in the Philippines a month ago. The music lives on people and I'm just happy that Journey was given a new lease in life.
Both Arnel and Steve are awesome. You don't have Arnel or Journey without Steve. You don't have Journey continuing on top without Arnel. Both of these guys deserve their props. Who was AP before Journey? Arnel Pineda's journey is an inspirational cinderella story. A boy who never stop believing. At the age of 13 his mother's death exhausted the family to bankruptcy. Separated from his siblings to unburden his father he left home and school empty handed. He was a homeless boy for two years. He slept in park benches, selling scrap metals, newspapers, bottles. He survived three days without food. His friends sometimes urged him to sing in exchange for food. Then one day they encouraged him to use his voice for a living. At the age of 15 he auditioned and became a member of the band called Ijos. When he was earning enough he reunited his family. He jumped from band to band just to survive until a record label noticed him and offered a self-titled solo album in 1999. He tried his luck and flew to the foreign land of Hongkong. Frustrated, he flew back to Philippines after more than a decade. In 2006 he was encouraged to joined the band called Zoo as the lead singer. The Zoology album was released in 2007.
