Man, there are not enough baritone saxophone sonatas. This instrument has such expressive capabilities that are so underutilized

As a Bari player myself, your skills are some to aspire to! Really beautiful. Thank you.

Loved listening to this, beautifully played. I was looking into how to improve my playing after a long hiatus when I stumbled across this. I play bari and graduated from UW too. Did you play it in the concert hall, or one of the newer spaces?

Absolutely breathtaking. Any tips when preparing or for playing this piece? I just ordered it a few days ago and I only have a little less than a month to put it together. I’d love any advice on achieving your spectacular tone as well!

Turtle Lazer? Thank you! And the most difficult part is putting it with piano- get the notes and rhythms as soon as possible and start putting it together- the piano part doesn't make much sense by itself (unlike other saxophone rep) and you will need to get it synchronized quickly to make it work well!

Max Marquis Completely forgot to reply! Thank you so much for the advice, the communication between the piano part and Bari part was definitely the most challenging but in the end I think I gave we gave it a good performance :)

How long did it take you to prepare this? I'm thinking of doing this next year for the solo and ensemble festival in my district 🙂

it doesn't take too long to prepare! the toughest part is putting it together with piano- the part is really weird and confusing for the pianist in many spots. just a lot a decent amount of time for that! :)

Max Marquis Hey, me again. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind actually emailing me the sheet music? I'm not really able to get it currently but I really want to start working on it. It's 100% understandable if you choose not to.
