Yeah it’s always the characters that seemed such pitiable and bullied at first, except Hailan, became the most despicable villain next (same like the prequel of this drama, Empresses In The Palace) If only Jia killed her when she’s still her maid..😤

Ling is a narcissistic. Qianlong is a narcissist/narcissistic pig too soo they deserved each other.. until her poisoned her later on so she’d never be empress or Empress Dowager being 17 years younger than him.

And her son Yongyang (15th prince) becomes the next emperor and she will be posthumously titled Empress dowager. After Empress Xian cuts off her hair, which is a very sinful act and gets confined, she will become Imperial Noble Consort and rule the harem. And she was the first Han chinese woman to rule the Harem. She is the main character in The story of Yanxi palace. I think the Emperor loved her very much though and this drama is very biased towards Empress Xian.

After all, this story explains why she cut her hair (better than the other drama) because of the numerous turbulent challenges Ruyi faced. Besides, history isn't always what it seems. So, yeah.
Psalm I don’t like how they portrayed Consort Ling here, they made her pure evil. And I did not say Yanxi palace wasn’t biased towards Consort Ling, I just thought this drama was way more intent on making Wei Yanwan the ultimate villain. And yeah history isn’t always what it seems but she gave birth to 6 imperial children and it’s a fact. You should not judge history by dramas and I know that. My comment just reflected my opinion and thoughts in general.
