- Welcome to Shojiki Gaming!
Let's scare ourselves witless in some 7 Days to Die! Now that Version 1 Experimental has released, it's time for us to gear up and take on the zombie apocalypse in a brand new Let's Play series on INSANE difficulty!
In this episode, our good luck appears to be holding out as we smash through a load more quests (and a few zombies heads along the way). Will we make it to the fabled 10 quests, or come up just shy? Is cloth worth more than I've been giving it credit for? And will I ever come up with some new expletives? Find out next... - Игры
The smaller drown boxes and tyres
Hunting is easier with bows, especially on higher difficulties: the sneak damage multiplier is a lifesaver. The reason I dislike clubs is the stamina usage: running and dealing damage at the same type is difficult to manage. I manage fine-ish without dew collectors but they do help, especially since cooking uses up twice as much water as you yourself need.
Early game I collect polymer from tyres, hunt for a cooking pot (or buy it from Rekt for 600 caps, only to find 4 of the things the next day) and look out for nests. I run an archer so feathers are a must and the eggs are a nice bonus.
Animals do spawn at night and once you get a night vision mod hunting will be easy. I took down a pack of dogs that spawned right in front of me while woodchopping. Sneak really, really helps.
Really enjoying the series. In some ways 7d2d is a bit like dwarf fortress. In other games the saying is 'You live, you learn'. In these it is 'You die, you learn'
Haha, i have a feeling there is going to be a lot of learning by dying in this series! 😅
That's a great tip on the tyres. We'll make sure to scrap them for the time being whilst we're on the look out for plastics!
I will certainly return to the bow and sneak approach once we're feeling confident to venture outside at night. Day 5 is a turning point when it comes to clubs, so check it out! ☺
Pipes are all over the place, use your stone axe on sinks, bathtubs, piles of pipes, actual plumbing etc. Also you should consider looting every birds nest you see, eggs are a great early game life saver they have zero chance of dysentery raw or cooked.
Ah, so i CAN get pipes from sinks etc with a stone axe? I assumed it need a wrench, so will have to give that a shot on the next vid!
Now that we don't have to steam through the trader quests, we'll take a bit more time looting birds nest etc 😁
Not going to lie, i was so drawn in by the content that when that vulture attacked i got quite a start 😂 Quality content mate! Keep it up!
Thanks for the kind words mate! Yeah those vultures get me every time... and the dogs... 😅
Yo Paul! Glad, you are still alive :D
Just wanted to spill a little more information out there for the usual commend:
Every POI has a way through it to the "main treasure" - Have fun :D
Aaaah ok, that is something i want to start looking at once we have our bike. I know the flashlights guide you through the POIs so we'll need to spend some time clearing some out and getting to that sweet treasure! 🤩
@Shojiki Gaming you do the cheese for double looting but leave the po boxes X( and the reloading of loot in buildings(note that all z's also reset when double looting).airdrops always contain great stuff that your build always needs(not wants) and note that lead and brass are now late game loot items so dont prioritize it too much until you have a chem station.try get a dew collector or 5 as fast as possible up and running on a roof (note: it generates heat so zombies do target it if you make it accessible to them) cooking murky water and having tons of chrysanthemum and goldenrod flowers makes for great tea.
also remember that trap doors can be placed in-front of a doorway and u can use it to slow down z's when busy with a POI and bonus is you can smack em whilst they wilt away that trapdoor
also holes in doors are great for knife stabbing headshots and cause some bleed damage
also MAKE YOUR FULL SET OF PRIMITIVE ARMOUR!!!
Please lemme know if you need some help with anything that boggles your mind.ill be glad to help out.
@@mcrispywerewolf Loads of awesome tips here thankyou mate! Watching my videos later, i can see i've forgotten to go back to mailboxes every time! I blame my inability to talk and game at the same time! 😅 Must... try...harder...
Definitely will make use of the spike/trapdoor trick at some point. Up until now, the zombies have been manageable, but i can imagine employing those tactics on some of the higher tier POIs!
Also not sure why it didn't occur to me to make the rest of the armour. Let's try and make that a priority on the next video! 🤣
Great progress!
We're getting there aren't we? 😆
I wonder what your gunna do on the 7th day you seem rather relaxed coming up to it haha legend
I'll admit, now that we've found our momentum, i'm feeling more confident taking on the zombies hoards. However, Day 7 on the last series did lure me into a potentially false sense of security. Slightly nervous what INSANE difficulty will do to Day 7 this time round... 😅
They say once you have a set of armour on weather doesn’t count
Yeah i am curious to see how weather effects us now with the new system. So far we've been cold, but it hasn't hurt us much yet... Maybe it will become more apparent in the extreme biomes...
Animals seem to be spawning at night
Interesting.. May be something we can take advantage of down the line. Set up some traps or kill corridors to farm animals at night 😁
You can hit though partly broken doors
Yeah i made use of that tactic a few times in previous vids. Definitely helps keep those zombies at bay for a bit! 😅
Today i watch 1 of your previous videos from last series , and i realised , do you know how to dismantle items to recover resources...
I know that you can get resources from items using the axe. And i believe a wrench can be use to dismantle cars, and air cons etc... just waiting to find one! 😅
@@ShojikiGamingWhen you mark item gives you opportunity to make. W , A , S , D every one of this gives different option , this is the reason for comment and you just ignore them , when you can dismantle for part. Take a look...
@@ivankarajov6222 Aah sorry, I see! Day 5 has been recorded now so I'll try and remember to look for this on day 6! Still got a lot to learn it seems! 🤣
@@ShojikiGaming same i started to play again...
For plastic sorry
Good tip! We're going to need a lot of plastic for those dew collectors so will definitely be keeping an eye out for anything that gives us it! 😁
