You’ve spoken before about realising that you didn’t actually know yourself that well, before your weight loss journey; and your work to figure out who you are and how to channel your gifts in a fulfilling way has been really inspiring.     Thank you very much for taking the time to answer my question . Your advice is truly valuable to me. I had not considered giving the negatives back to where they came from. Coincidentally, I have also been called 'overly sensitive' since childhood. Sitting with REAL feelings is still tough, but I know numbness is no longer serving me.

    Answer to 2nd question: POM pepper spray available on Amazon!...And if that doesnt work, a Kel-tec P32 will fit in the tiniest fanny pack!. I learned this from a runner who always carries one.

    Great video Carla! Life long sugar addict. And it is so true...the less sugar you eat the less you crave it. I call this time of the year The Sugar Season...Halloween thru Easter (my birthday is in February) . Danger Will Robinson, Danger! 😊❤

    Loved your safety suggestions. May I add, always be aware of your surroundings when you set off on your walk. If you are aware, you will not be caught off guard and freeze. Also, if you are not comfortable on a certain route, dont use it for a while or walk with a friend like Carla suggested. Change up your routes and your routines. This is more so if you feel stalked.

    💅🏼 I really enjoy these videos, thank you so much🥰!! I do have a question, when you reached your goal weight range was there a point where you wanted to lose more? I have been in maintenance for six months and I’m starting to feel that I would like to go down another 10 pounds and still be in a healthy weight range. I am finding it difficult to get back on the weight loss track after being in maintenance. I have small pockets of fat that I would like to get rid of and I do believe with my current exercise and maybe another 10 pounds down they would disappear.
    I am sorry to the woman who experienced a scare on her walk, this happened to me at 12 years of age, and I have never forgotten it. I continue to walk, I now bring a large dog with me as I live in a very rural area. It gives me comfort .

    Hello Carla enjoyed the video. I do have to disagree about Slimming World though. There are many many people who have had great success with SW and are now in maintenance including several in the group I go to. I myself have lost 3 stone so far(3 more to go!)😊. Our consultant is fabulous and full of ideas and we have such a laugh in group. SW also works on eating a calorie deficit by labelling the foods high in protein such as meat,fish,tofu,eggs etc as free,plus all your veg and salad. The idea is to fill up on these as they are good for you. The Syn in ‘syns’ stands for synergy,the foods that are in this category are low in nutrients but high in calories and meant to be eaten in moderation. No food is excluded on SW, they are just labelled this way to enable you to make an informed choice to keep you on track. When you reach maintenance you can either have an extre ‘B’ choice every day,which may be bread for example, or I think I may do 5 on 2 off and just enjoy more on the weekends. Also group is FREE as long as you stay within 6lb off your target that you have set yourself 😊.

    💅💅💅 fab video, Carla! Thankyou for your advice, especially to the question regarding who you are and which new directions to try. It was really helpful to me as I’m struggling with where I want to go and how to move forward in my new and improved body (I’m less than 3lb away from loosing 9 stones). I’m in my mid fifties and entering a different phase of adulting which is both exciting and just a lot scary!

    Thank you for all your videos they really do help. I have identified one of the reasons I eat was to cope with pain I have a back problem so it's been amazing to say no I don't need that chocolate etc to cope with pain it's not helpful and takes me further from my goals. I'm 29lb down 🎉 just hoping that navigating Christmas etc doesn't derail me

    Love you and love videos like this! ❤ Question: do you have any tips for dealing with other people's opinions on your weight loss? For example when relatives say you're losing too fast or a friend says they're worried about you losing weight, but you know you're doing it in a healthy way. I'd love to just tell them to stay in their own lane but I don't want to start conflicts.
