A Falling Derrick is used to get the mast raising started, and after that, the halyard has enough leverage to simply raise the mast with the antenna installed on the top of it. The raising at 3B9 was a bit tricky because of the high winds, and the fact that the antenna needed to be raised in an elevated angle in order to clear local obstructions. As you can see, we had more than enough helpers!
